Slayer Sucks
287 If gaining the fastest possible xp is your thing, then you are correct in stating that slayer is not for you. If however you are interested in battling monsters you have never come up against before, adding many levels to your totoal skill level, and having the chance at getting an abby whip through a monster drop - then slayer is right up you alley. Each to their own, and obviously xp rates are very important to you - so be it.

Everything SUCKS
Why don't you just trade in BH like the other 10k people per hr avoiding the trade limits? Would seem to be easier to do that than get flamed here?

Please tell me, Why do some players want to have 1 defence??
In high level F2P BH, noone fights unless is it a no armour fight - so whats the dif? Most BH'ers in lower crater are pures, so it must be fairly effective. To those who say pures risk nothing, a pure usually has 1 prayer, and takes in a R2H. If they score a decent kill, they often won't outlast a pjer unless good hugging skills are implimented. There aren't many ppl who pk in full rune in lower level BH (I challenge you to find any) - so a pure risks more than most there. The true 1 def, 1 prayer pures have distinct advantages and disadvantages over the 'average stat' player. Here are just a few of em: Advantages 1) You can hit a lot higher than your opponant. Crucial to gain a KO. 2) You have more hitpoints than your opponant - crucial to avoid a KO 3) You have the upperhand in a variety of combat styles up to around level 80. (Mage til 40ish, range/r2h til 65ish, melee til 80ish) Disadvantages 1) It costs more to train melee due to eating more often. 2) At around combat 80 you become overshadowed by rune pures who will dominate the pants off 1 def pkers. 3) Very limited to areas you can go, quests you can do, training locations etc by remaining 1 def, and 1 prayer. 1 def pures live to pk - they dont want to go soloing Bandos, DK'ing etc. They want to experience the thrill of smacking a 30 with a R2H while at combat 65 hence scaring the pants of a main!

New Quest XP reward -- don't read if you don't want to know.
I would go for expensive or slow to train. Many come to mind, but rcing, herby, con, smithing all tickle my fancy. Agility, and slayer would also be close. I would tend to go for my lower skills, to boost the levels gained. If I plonked em all on slayer, it would be 1 level at most, but rcing would net me 14 precious levels.

26th November 2008 - While Guthix Sleeps
7.5 hours of playing to complete the quest - so much for very very long. I'm sure RFD took much longer than this for me, but can't really recall. I would have though a 'very, very long' qust would have taken even the most hardcore player a few days to get through. Oh well, at least the rewards are aweseom - time to do some quests and some levels!

Money making for a quite poor pure?
As a fellow P2P training pure, I would suggest fleshies. Buy enough cakes to last you some trips, and trake in all herds over 1kea. The ranaars and kwuarms you get soon add up to muchos geepees, and you get sweet xp at the same time! I know they are not as good as other trianing spots, and you will have to make bank runs often, but the cash adds up quickly enough.

new low lvl pk pure help
Train on minataurs and sell iron arrows , tin and copper for cash. They are good sellers, and you always make more than enough to pay for training supplies and some xtra for pking with. Randoms there always provide me with a bunch of gems each trip which often earn more than the arrows! Never underestimate the power of randoms! Alternate is you can skill for cash - ess mining in f2p is still ok money making and u can do it quickly.

range pure
With 40 attack, 60 str you should go ahead and get yourself 70 range. You should have range levels at your max hit always, i.e. 63, 70, 77, 84, or 91. Keep your strength maxed to the highest level without increasing your combat level.

new low lvl pk pure help
Minataurs are great - keep training on em and sell all your arrows except for 1k of em. Once you have enough cash, get that 59 mage.

Grandmaster Quest Rewards
I reckon quite a few doors will open trapdoors will open and generally more unanswered questions will be answered than new ones open up! Either that or it will require 90 smithing to start the quest and I will be royally screwed!

new low lvl pk pure help
Before you do anything else, promise you will stay 1 def, and 1 pray until you are 70 combat k! Now go and train your range to 40, then your mage level to 59. If you cannot afford the runes, then keep training range until you can sell enough to earn the runes. You want to cast mage spells using failed curse to avoid hitpoints early on in the game. After cb 55, hitpoints are your friend. Until then, the hp you get through range and strength will do nicely. Mage pures rule F2P PvP from combat 25-40, after that mage is useless in PvP on F2P servers. The only use is that the higher mage you are, the better mage defence you have. After combat 40, range/R2H are king until around 60-65 combat which is a very long time. Have fun, and remember, 1 pray, 1 def always!

Next step to make in my stats?
Good goals, esp to stay in lower crater :)
-
k.o-ing
Try to drag fights as far away from a safe zone as poss. they will run at 1 or 2 food slots left, so bind them and keep hitting/binding.

A Clarification
Don't think so, but the way PvP rules are I think you would be at a disadvantage due to having a high kill count in a short space of time - somehow this is a negative! Does it net you a decent profit? i.e. shared between you and ur mate, wot sort of profit per hr are you making?
-
Next step to make in my stats?
The higher mage you get the better, especially if you get it using failed curses rather than damage spells.

-UPDATE--Please rate my pure -- 85% done
You have a great pure going on there, but you need to be very careful. Once you get 77 range, you will have 70 hits, and be very close to 71. At 71 hits, you only 1 more range level (150k xp) to go before you get to that awful 56 level and never enter low lvl BH again. Its amazing how fast you rack up xp when pking, so you wont get a lot of use out of you pure in BH at 77 range :( Its too late to go back, so a decision to be made is this go for 77 range, and know you have maybe 1 week of domination in BH before its all over. Or, stay 70 range, get 76 strength and know you can range/R2H for a couple of months before you range and hits go over the threshold. In any case, once you are at 56 combat, BH is all over for you for a long time, so PvP will be your home. As soon as it is, ramp up to 84 range as soon as possible, and remax your strength out (though you already know this!) Great work so far, and add my pure Ivahobo. Another range/R2H and will have 70 range tomorrow. Central Otago here too, so we can hook up and destroy PvP or BH :)

Welfare Gear
Just remember that even with welfare gear, you will most likley lose all your stuff, and rarely win any fights. Then just take what you can afford to lose - I would go with full black dhide rather than proselyte.

Rate my pure and please give advice
Continue with str til 60, then test out the obby mauling straight away. As long as you have a spare 180k or so to lose each time you die, mauling is great fun. Try some ranging with maul KO - its very effective and most people you fight never expect such a mighty KO blow.
-
Pure!
11 prayer is for him to do DT. Get 31 prayer as a minimum, but 52 would be best once you have your 99 strength.
-
pure reign over when ...?
Range/R2H pures have no trouble from 45-60, in fact that is one of the prime times for a pure. 70-79 is awesome for strength pures, not so flash for rangers unless you have 99 range, and 44 prayer.
-
Average exp per 1k iron arrows?
Worst case scenario here - you are F2P, cannot pick them up. You have a max hit of 9, and it will be like this for a few levels yet. Now lets assume you are training on an easy critter and you hit 2/3 of the time. So 666 arrows will do some damage. 666 arrows hitting on average 50% of your max hit = 4.5 damage per arrow hit = 666*4.5*4 = 12000xp per 1k iron arrows at your level Training on a harder monster wil lessen your hits, so call it 10k per 1k arrows and you ought to be in the right ballpark.

New Zealand here, and no effect at all

FTP Pker
Go and get yourself 59 mage and then test out your pking skills. Then get 63 range to balance it out. Then get 40 attack, and 55ish strength and do some range/R2H pking. After that keep your strength and range balanced to keep your combat as low as possible with the highest range/str combo possible. 1 prayer and 1 def until you have 84 range, or 85+ strength, and preferably a lot higher!

range trainin......so bored help
Unless you have decent defense, fleshies will consume too much food for your liking. AFKing is good here, but if you concentrate hard, minaturs and hobgoblins are quicker xp.
