My main character used to be a pure, and is now a pker main (sorta). Never , ever have I been asked to fight no prayer, no food, or no pots. Sure no o/h prayer - but thats a given really - but prayer boosts are always allowed, as are pots. The anti tele/logging is a given, but I reckon if you can't KO em before they tele, then train a little harder :) So a big fat :thumbdown: from me.

Im a 123 and am getting crashed by 130+ every 30 minutes or so. Ill probably ease off trying to get an elixir for a while until the hype dies down its just not worth me losing my dwindling patience!

Oak planks alone easily pay for prayer pots you use up here - its slow xo, but the lure of new loot is infinately better than xp :)

I'd stock up on g mauls, rune xbows, brews, restores, prayer pots, rannars etc

and it reminds of the time where someone kept bragging about a revolutionary crafting method where you got 1exp for 4gp or something like that and it turned out to be crafting yak hides which is immensely slow... It was actually buying silver bars in bulk from Ardy silver stall when the 'buy unlimited' first came out. The bars were very cheap, and some people stocked up on these for the first couple of days until it was nerfed. There may well be a great summoning method the majority havent figured out - so good on the lucky few who have - they are clearly the cleverer of the crowd!

We PKd because we could if you are dumb enough to mine rune on a PvP world then you must be willing to accept the consequences of playing on a PvP world. Same goes for afkers at bandits etc. All this means is that the skillers/nosey parkers will be entering the PKers realm where anything goes welcome and stay a while :)

Someone above me wrote "There will be f2p pk'ing servers..." Imagine the squeeling when jagex announce that PVP servers are only P2P!!!

Thats 334k of range xp there - most of which must be either through use of a cannon to avoid hitoints, OR he fixed walls in PC and put points towards range. Even if he did use a cannon - thats and awful lot of cballs!

I might just be dumb - but how do you get 60+ range with 10 hp? I have always been of the belief that if you are playing f2p, then higher hp the better, and always at least 5 hp levels higher than your combat level.

Clans will try to decimate any stronghold for the pure thrill of trying :) I am soooo looking forward ot this - already stocking up on rune sets :)

Waiting for the dark bow rangers to step into the dangerous area, let go a shot and step back in! Hope the time to return into safety is delayed enough to get revenge on those who want safe spots like BH.

I take 9 bunyip pouches to bandits, and these along with 2 pots last me almost 7 hours camped at bandits without worrying about picking up food, or having enough inv slots available for food.

They will more than likely just implement a feature that wont allow you to tele for x seconds after fighting, similar to logging atm.

Just had a thought - hopefully you will get the message - you cannot teleport until 10 seconds after a fight :) There endeth teletubbies fo lyfe! I would guess that all towns/cities will be pk free, as will GE and all banks not in a town/city. An icon will pop up telling you when you are in a 'danger zone' and you want to make sure you have a decent team if you ever venture into multi combat regions! Layer tower/dungeon spawn points will be camped at, as will any spot where you enter a cave, or go up/down ladders.

I assume you don't read the update articles all the way, they said the level range will vary just like the old Wilderness, the more rural you get the higher the level range. I'm EXTREMELY fired up about this update as well :. . Cool 'far'away' places where people may go carrying wads of cash or other goodies - and places where someone light hop into a world while still loaded up. 1) MTK - filling coffers on miscellania - often people will take a few mill there just to top up the coffers and most take no food - ever. 2) Dags under lighthouse - catch that sneaky person with a cannon! 3) GWD - though not likely. 4) Mage training? Not likely to be able to fight in there but loads of runes taken in there. 5) Barrows pking? Maybe allowed in tunnels. 6) See someone training summoning often? Smack em up as they will be carrying mils worth of shards usually. 7) Iron drag trainers won't be safe on these worlds! 8) PC Outpost - that would be funny! 9)Anyone afking at bandits 10) Entrana - oooo. Make those bows/xbows and blast away? Sooo, all above (and heaps more) would be fun to explore with the ablility to PK, and most importantly - anti pk :) Luring people into a false sense of security that you are either a) not armed, B) afk, c) stupid or d) all alone - will be a whole heap of fun! Everyone will walk around in full black dhide non stop!

Teleblocking will be required, as will be a method of discouraging 4 itemers. What will happen to gravestones? Will a pker just wait at a GS waiting for his victim to return, and KO him over and over ad nauseum? There will be quite a few tweaks rquired compared to old wildy pking, but this is by far the best news I have read in a looong time :) This will be awesome for clans - especially for sorting out differences :) Pures will be back en masse - which will be very entertaining now that may ex-pures are now pro tanks! Makes me wanna go dredge up a few pures in training and resurrect them!

Use recovs to get your account back, or at least banned fo lyfe.

Havent done the required quests, or havent the required levels? Where to then? Havent done DT? Where to then? Is 55k per hr at bandits decent xp? Where is the best afk training spots with a bunyip to be found? Is this still bandits?

Pure ess has not moved a lot in the last month, so this is not a knee jerk reaction to prices. IF it speeds up the xp gains, and rune making ability though, expect ess prices to rise even higher!

If you read that crud and still gave them some RL cashies - then you deserve everything coming to you!

About how many chins would it take? From what I've heard killing bandits with rune knives and void is about 200k xp and hour and a little bit cheaper than chining. You also have the option of using adamant knives for a lot cheaper with not that much xp reduction. In that case, you have heard wrong - no way can you get that at bandits. At 85 range, go straight to Avinases, and don't look back. With a few thousand bolts, and 100 B2P tabs/spells - you can camp there til you are loaded up with 3k or so addy bars - lotsa cashies to start chinning your way to 99 :) Once you run out of chins, go back to Avianses to get more cash, rinse n repeat!

Take lotsa breaks, and play any amount that suits you. I once tried to no life hunter, and managed 2 hours at a time. Others can do it for 10 hours without a break. As long as playing does not interfere with more important matters, then play away :)

We (Pkers) were not playing a different game than some others who skilled. We just played differently as we had a different set of goals. We relied on them to provide us supplies that we could not/did not want to gather ourselves. Most of us ran our pking on a shoestring budget and hated it when we had to go earn cash to pk again! We had goals of getting to x str/range while still being below a certain combat level. i.e. to be at optimum strike power at all times. Skillers wanted to chop yews, get into the mining guild etc. We wanted to alch those yew longs/dhide bodies etc. What about the rest of the players? Those that beat up monsters, gaining lotsa defense levels, doing quests that allowed them into places us pures only dreamt about? Those players are the mains of the world, and not necessarily skillers. they are your 'normal players' - who I dare suggest make up the majority of players. I turned my 'pure' into a 'main', and have turned my back on P2P pking at BH, and rarely enter F2P BH. Each time I do, I shake my head after about 30 mins and just walk away. BH is a cesspit of all that was shunned in the pking fraternitiy (Edge solo pking anyway). Bsing, tagging, praying and running are all part of 'normally accepted practice' at BH - a 2 man team is required to reap constant benefits there. I look forward to the new minigames, but don't hold my breath in a return to loot from pking my adversary. In the mean time, I will continue to train my skills, and the ones I enjoy most atm are combat related ones :)

1) Seems safe to me! Used it, and SS for yonks without troubles. 2) Yes it has IRC attached to it.

I have also been training melee over the last 10 days or so, and my fave haunts are: 1) Dusties - loving these a lot cos they are good xp, and make a decent profit on them. 2) Dags - afkable, and good seed drops for my farming. 3) bandits - mega afkable, but lends itself to missing on weed drops.
