I help out often, and am helped often too. Just today after finishing Zogre quest, someone gave me a dose of anti-disease potion :) Small helpful things are very much still in vogue, and make you feel all warm n fuzzy :)

Bounty Hunter is still the only thing close to old wildy - and it is a gankfest. If you can get a mate to help you out, it can be rewarding - but gone are the 1v1 days of old, and knowing that you only had to defeat a dirty pjer once the fight was over. As stated - unless Jagex invent a new dangerous 1v1 minigame, then RS is not a place for a pker of old to be. UNLESS you can turn your head towards the skilling/monster hunting side, and play the game in a completely different light. Thats what I did, and enjoy it about the same as I did when I was a 1 def 90+ range pure.

Most slayer masters have about 20 or so tasks available, and even if you are one of the lucky ones and have not done quests to open up nasty assignemnts, there are usually at least 10 of them from each master. The chances of getting the same task twice in a row is 1:100 (1:10 x 1:10), 3 times is 1:1000, and to the guy who had 4 tasks in a row a whopping 1:10,000. I would suggest that most of us slayers have now had the same task twice in a row (I have had 2 lots of them) which makes for unusually higher occurances of what should be rare happenings. Me thinks its a deliberate ploy!

Go tanking method. Much better profit per hour, and solves the need for making/buying prayer pots constantly.

I always do basilisks. They are very fast, and require little to no food. Be glad you have them, rather than bronze drags over and over :) I have had 2 repeat tasks so far. One set of trolls, and another of blue drags. Doubles seem to be quite common, more common than they should be.

Mine happened yesterday! After years of never dieing doing clues, I ventured off into wildy to dig behind the rogues castle. I have been there once before, and never had any troubles, so went there with my usual gear on (full dhide, glory etc). Was met by the Chaos Elemental. I had never approached this thing before, and had no idea what was happenning. I got teleported all over the place, couldnt run away, all my gear got taken off once I began eating (and I ate a lot), and eventually died. I prompty returned to pick up my stuff. This being the first death since the gravestones came out, I had no idea what to do so lost time looking at gravestone, and figuring out how to get items back. I got my clue, my defender (whew!), just before the gravestone collapsed and the CE attacked me for a second time. I ran away with tail between my legs, and spent the rest of the session hiding amongst the yew trees :) I went back today, took a very wide berth around the CE spot and managed to get the clue done (Guthix plate ftw :) )

Only regret is that I didn't start slayer when I began P2P and ranged my way to 99 on fire giants and ape atol skels.

Definitely worth it, but I am using my points to block nasty tasks on my way to 400 points.

Loving this update - with very few quests done, once I blacklist the 4 horrid tasks from Duradel, I will have only fast and awesome tasks to do! Me likes it a lot :)

Prayer limits your trip time, whereas tanking with B2P tabs is only limited by how many tabs and ammo you take along. Tanking = more kills over a longer time = more profit. Tabs are a heap cheaper than bringing in 25 prayer pots too! I would get around 300k profit per hour with prayer pots (at 99 range), and get 450k+ per hour tanking.

I pick on everyone, I do not discriminate :)

ItÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not hidden, in fact it states that it increases your range level by 15%, so it increases both accuracy AND damage :)

OR you could look at it like this: they allowed us to obtain charms prior to being given out all the 'best' familiars to train on! The next update of critters in February might give us better monsters to train on but you have the choice now to either train using the familiars available, or wait n see what Feb brings :)

All it promotes is having the bulk of your worth tied up in gp, rather than in materials. IF your materials are ones that can be turned into alchables (yew logs for example), then thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s OK as they are always a potential source of income later, and should gp continue to buy you more goodies, then each log will reap you more purchasing power.

Giant rockcrabs in the chaos tunnels drop 10 golds at a time :)

There are creatures in the new dungeon that drop 10 golds at a time - so lets not write it off so quickly - not to mention what you see is 1/2 the familiars to date.

Will the wolf whistle drive them away would be the better question!

64 people are now over 30 summoning, which makes this skill not as hard to level as the topicÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s author suggests. Look at summoning the same way as herby ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ you get the xp for actually making the pots/pouches ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ not for drinking the pots/using pouches ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ seems fair to me. The bonus of course is that the familiars at higher levels have some decent abilities that will help out in many aspects of day to day wandering :)

I wouldn't be offended. I'd be rather surprised if anyone did repair/bless. I wouldn't have repaired your grave. Repairing gravestones is not something that people "should" do. The exception is if you are with your mates/clan at GWD/Daggs etc and you die. In that case I would repair others graves, and expect them to repair mine.

Until you get ganked by a team of 5! Fun in a team, but horrid as a solo pker.

Everyone is plonking 10 workers on maples atm to gather eggs for summoning irrespective of the price of maples. The seeds and nests along with profit from coal/flax means that you always make a profit from MTK, and walk away with free maples/flax, or seeds ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ take your pick.
