That's some really nice money-making! I have tried to host dice-games myself, but have had a hard time attracting customers. Are you doing the 55x2 or the 60x2 version? Or are you using dice duels? The financial mess is something which I have read and seen quite a lot about. It was therefore interesting to read this your summary of it here on TIF. I just wanted to say that it is good to see that the subject is up here to discussion. Oh, and yes, of course, that I am happy that I live in Sweden and that we still have our SEK (and not those stupid euros).

Even though that I don't think that the game is such a huge catastrophe today as many other here on TIF seems to believe, I still have to say that I agree mostly with what you posted, Strilmus. Just by looking through the General Discussion forum and counting the number of bot threads shows that RS is having serious problems. Jagex really needs to get better at taking care of the bots within the game. They need to change their focus from the recent "make-more-money-to-the-company"-updates to updates that actually are making the game better. A great start would be to take more serious actions against the bots. Many good ideas have been submitted on these forums in other threads. So please, Jagex, start working harder! Save this great game and return it to what it once was!

Well, it is your choice, but you should know that if you're going for a that high level, you save a lot more time just to do that quest and then train the effective way. Instead of not doing the quest and do it the less effective way.

Not good. This will just make member's buying membership for a new account of their own, to get a 10% xp boost on their main account.

It's good that you bring up this subject. The most important point is however that you understand that you're never guaranteed a certain drop after a certain amount of kills. Because when talking about drop chance or drop rate, even though drop chance is the correct word, people still think about the same thing. Even though it is wrong, just as you point out in your post.

Mechscape was scraped because it wasn't "fun", they took a lot of the resources from that and changed stuff and made new stuff to develop Stellar Dawn. My point is, the first major project after Runescape was killed because they felt it wasn't a fun game. I don't think there's anything worse than that from a development view point. Just because Runescape has a large playerbase and sure, that helps a lot. But just because isn't enough. If they pump out a new game and everyone think it blows major ass then they failed as a developer. As a developer, in my opinion, whatever their next project that is released will be very important. Yes they know how to market, that's why I said Jagex as a publisher won't end any time soon. As far as providing content that pleases, they are very hit and miss. Walk around in Runescape and look at all the content that gets played. Look at all the minigames nobody gives a [cabbage] about. We have mid level players who feel there's too much content for new players while veterans feel there's not enough content for them. I could go on and on and a lot of it stems from the fact that Runescape is so old now. I will have to say that I agree with glasscube here, especially the last paragraph. There's a huge load of updates that never get any attention after the first week of their release. This is a problem, even though Jagex's knows how to market their games, it won't last for ever. Nothing does. Runescape is becoming old, and with the big botting problems we have in this game, we need Jagex to take more action to control and steer up the game. However, I still don't think that RS will die anytime soon. The game is still alive and I believe that Jagex will fix the problems the game has, even though it will take time and a lot more effort than they are putting into the game at the moment.

I'd rather have a new thread every other week warning people about this than have someone fall victim to a phishing scam simply because of their ignorance of the threat. I agree completely. I get a lot of these every day too. Irritating to say at least.

Yes, I have noticed this as well. It's irritating, especially that you can just deposit 8 items at a time. You should have an empty inventory into the chest-button, just like the one you have in your bank.
