I'm not familiar with the laws that control this sort of thing, but I don't think it's very easy to delete someone else's website if its hosting company doesn't wish to cooperate. If they're hosted in a different country, Jagex could have a really complicated legal headache trying to make the sites go away. I tested it. I went to Microsofts website and hit 'delete'. It didn't work!

In a narrow minded point of view yes. Stop defending the people buying, they for sure are aware of that it is a crime.

That's right, it's a bit harder at the fight caves. I wonder if the graphical update will make it even harder. Since Jads movements might change.

Staking was an acceptable loss, so half the stakers quit, most of them sell their gold for real money rather then let it sit on useless accounts.. Jagex has just achieved the opposite of what they wanted.. Next they will have to remove trading.. Rich merchants will quit.. They will sell their gold for real money rather then abandon it. Then they gotta make it so you cant die at all anywhere.. Any one who likes a challenge will quit, and probably sell their gold for real life cash rather then abandon it. Next they gotta stop you being able to drop things.. Every ones invents will be so full of junk they will have no choice but to quit. See why jagex's hardline stance is completly stupid? it was an unnesisary extreme, they did what the usa does, they had a problem with something (staking/oil) made a false reason (wmds/rmts) and obliterated something many people enjoyed. I know a way to ban 99% of macros and completely stop a lot of the current ones from working i already sent it to jagex... 3 months ago. These changes are needed to stop people like you to gather these large amounts of gp which you will sell for real life money sooner or later. If it is not possible to exchange gp between accounts the opportunity to sell for real life money will not exist. So this might be the next step. BTW Can you not think of any other way to get rid of stuff than to drop it?

It would make the job much easier for Jagex, and the job much harder for the cheaters. Maybe not a complete stop, but a serious slow down.

I find the discussion in this thread very interesting and I feel like sharing some views on the subject. As far as I can see there are different topics being brought up in the debate. The one I will address is: What are the intentions behind the various changes that Jagex are making to the game, and where will it ultimately take the game? I think that Jagex have decided to take serious action to stop financial activity happening between the game and the outside world (other than the membership payments of course). It seems clear to me that the game (in Jagex POW) have taken a wrong turn and they are now trying to set it straight. What they want is a game, which they have maximum control over. Their business is build on this game, so it's not surprising. They are ridding the game for areas which enable and/or facilitate Real World Trading. Bots/sweat shops of course is an issue here. But they will become obsolete if Jagex take control over trading. The question at hand is: are they doing just that? * With the Grand Exchange they have taken a big step in that direction. * The Duel Arena update took away one way of interchanging large amounts of money/value. * The announced updates about the wilderness may be taken away another. The end of RWT, bots and sweat shops? Ultimately they can take away player to player trading. If all trades are done through the Grand Exchange and they remove death piles, bots and real world trading is obsolete, since you can only interchange value through a channel controlled by Jagex. There is no point in making a bot very rich in RuneScape gold. Yes, they will upsete a lot of players. But Jagex will have control over their product. Finally to address the topic of rares: to further take control over the game rares have to go. Jagex will continue to introduce new high level items, which will be a goal for the top level players. This way they will be able to adjust drop rates and prices to their satisfaction. I do not predict this to happen, I'm just saying that it is a possible scenario.

I' will be training at Magnius Mortifer untill the release. I'll be a master summoner by then!

Why, oh why do people take quotes from the internet (in this case from the American Renaissance News) and pass it off as their own? *On Topic* - I originally read Truthscape some time ago, and, although Qeltar makes some good points, I do believe he goes OTT on a number of issues. firstly, I'm very surprised that a reader of such a highly reader-selective medium as AR definitely is would proceed to attack somebody in such an inadequate manner. Purposefully denying the content of the message, denouncing the text just by pointing out the use of a quote is a practice of the empty handed. Secondly, to answer your question, I keep a very extensive list of quotes gathered over many years from news, books, conferences et cetera which I find note worthy. If it helps me to deliver the message intended across to the reader, I do not have any regrets incomporating any strong and fitting quotes from my notes into the texts. Lastly, while dealing with the bellow-average community of Runescape game players on these boards, I won't regret the use of any copy/paste material that seems to be fitting my views on the subjects discussed. The message will be delivered and a lot of seconds saved in the process; leaving me overjoyed for the time saved while masochistically dealing with the local trash. why do you need to pratice? Like the Lord of the Rings magic it's "a combination of study, willpower and some hand actions." You learn the spells from study and practice. I think that the runes in RuneScape is a good representation of magic.

what part of graphical update don't you understand? some1 didnt read all of the thread i see. Well you do wish that the graphic updates were content updates. Which you also say in your other post.

There is a problem with some of the links in the Links section in the items database. Some of the links have an " added to the end of the url - making them not work. This is the case with: shark, raw shark, sea turtle, raw sea turtle, burnt sea turtle, raw manta ray, manta ray, burnt manta ray. Possibly many more. I have not found the pattern in these errors, but the problem exists with these high level fish, and not with pike and trout for an example. I hope this is helpful anyway.

Just like rings, and tree seeds? Nothing that is contained within the nests are actually used for herby, so I highly doubt if that will be the case, not to mention the rarity of them. As stated previously, one woodcutter with 90+ wcing has only had 1 egg to date. He is meant to make one potion out of it? What a wasteful update that would be, worse than the Karils set effect! Unless of course the potion PERMANANTLY gave exp in a specific/chosen skill, that would be nice. Make you own genie lamps! Would have to remain untradeable if that was the case though. Farming and herblore are related skills. Yew and magic roots are used in herblore. So you can actually get seconds from the seeds from the nests. A relation between the eggs and herblore is not totally far out IMO.

In the process of doing all the quests I had to visit other sites when I was either to dumb or to lazy to figure out something. I remember some problems during Mournings End part 2. But now I do the quest before the guides are out, and I frankly find that to be more fun. There haven't been any really hard quests lately (thinking-wise), so I might have to consult a guide if a big and hard quest comes out. Possibly even non-tip.it guides (gulp!).

Very true. All those cooking and fletching capes are fueled by macroers. Macroers have played a vital part in making the skill capes popular and an accessible goal for not only the richest people. Jagex has an interest in having a certain number of skill capes in the game to make them af visible goal to the common player. No cheap resources in the game would make it a very different game. So it's a love/hate relationship between Jagex and the bots. What a load of crap. Jagex hates the bots, skill capes are ment to be EARNED. Jagex doesnt want millions of people to have skill capes, they want it to be an achievement, the easier things get the less incentment you have to keep playing. And players cut enough yew logs to supply the economy, there was always plenty of logs, players stopped cutting becouse of the ammount of macros, if the macros are stopped players will resume cutting them. Same for shark fishing. Yes, but I'm sure that Jagex are happy that the capes got a head start making them a succes. From a moral and idealist (and my personal) point of view bots are the pest of the game. But from Jagex's point of view it has both pros and cons. Of course the capes are meant to be a distant goal and make people stay in the game longer. But they should also be a realistic goal, so that people will start aiming for them. Cheap resources pay a role in this, if you like it or not. I'm sure that Jagex thinks that there are enough cooking and fletching capes in the game by now. These capes have devalueated to the extend that I heard a player mod refer to them as 'noob'.
