Goodbye Game Manuals
There is no reason that the manuals can't be integrated into the game menu. There is. A little thing called idiotic developers. Especially for Pc games, I would guess most would either be a separate element in the auto run of the game, or somewhere on the main menu. Even the games i know at the moment which have manuals in the game (I'm looking at you Smackdown Vs Raw games!) the in-game manuals are horrid jumbles of information and it has always been so much easier to just open the manual up.

rs-my downfall
The thing is, you may think that this is something strange, but in fact many people go through it. And not just our generation. Replace Runescape with 'an arcade' or any old computer and you could get the same story. It seems that you have found your way out fairly well, and i think most people also will. Teenage angst.

Goodbye Game Manuals
One problem i have with not having a manual is what if I need help while playing the game? I don't want to have to exit to the main menu just to read what will probably be 2 or 3 lines, or if for PC games they add it onto the disk, i don't want to have to switch screens and load it up. Manuals work as they are.

Goodbye Game Manuals
So much effort is sometimes put into manuals, its almost an art in itself. E.g GTA manuals which are basically a holiday brochure, but somehow get across all the information you need.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
It's a complaint because this shows every sign of being a recycling job, and not even one very well done at that. They had this game they didn't want to launch separately, and they didn't want to put in the effort it would have taken to make a real skill, so they shoehorned this thing into RS. If they had taken a few more months and done the job properly, it could have been really good. The whole thing smells of a half-assed effort. I have a nice wall here I could talk to instead -- more convenient and would yield the same results. I don't mind them putting in a skill I don't like.. heck, there are many I don't like right now. But this isn't a skill at all, and anyone who approaches the matter honestly will see that. I doubt anyone could list even three major things that make this a skill if SC and BA are not. It being on the skill page. Getting exp in it. Not being 'mini' Multiple locations (As we are going to get) Required for quests (As we are going to get) Required to do things (as will happen) 6.

What's wrong with that? That is kind of the point of them...

Goodbye Game Manuals
Well, this is an article which talks about Ubisoft planning to get rid of User manuals from their games starting this Autumn. They have some legitimate reasons for doing so, such as saving paper and the like. However, I am hoping not all publishers follow suit. I like user manuals, they give new games the 'new game smell' when you first open them and flick through the manual. They give you something fun to read while loading up the game. Especially for Ubisoft games, they give you something to do when your internet cuts off and their DRM kicks in <_< . The article: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=243376 Another article: http://www.gamesradar.com/f/things-well-miss-if-game-manuals-are-done-away-with/a-20100420153620749070 Are there any others who just like having manuals, a bit of reading material for games?

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
People have complained ever since the G.E that Jagex have been taking the multiplayer part out of this game. They finally make something that rewards playing with others and people bash it. As usual, people are never happy.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
Every update makes it more and more clear that the developers don't have any clue about how players actually play the game. Another inexcusable design flaw is putting in doors that cannot be opened even using the maximum herblore boost, then hiding half the floor behind said doors, and penalizing players 50% of their XP for something they can do nothing about. Idiotic. It isn't idiotic at all. The idea behind having doors that connot be opened by one player, is to encourage you to go in a team with diverse skills. It is meant as a party skill. You get rewarded for having a party with skills spread out and not having one person do all the work.

Why does Jagex get new skills so wrong?
What's wrong with it being slow to level. I don't remember people being this whiny when Slayer was released. Maybe people are just spoiled by fast skills now days and have forgotten how to have long term goals? This is really such an opinionated post, there is no fact in saying that the last 3 skills have been failures, for arguments sake i can just say they have all been success' because the game is still running.

UK Politics Discussion
Well, Labour and the Tories are going to do their best to take the policies apart over the next few weeks, so I recommend that you follow the debate and see if they succeed. It's worth noting that the Lib Dem manifesto is the only one to cost up their policies, and the only one that doesn't rely on "efficiencies" to pay for things. This comedy picture also has a serious point: That's one thing that confuses me about our government. People can get promoted into positions that cover totally different areas than what they are qualified to do. It's like re-training for a job in the army after you have been a doctor for 6 months, then expecting to become a teacher in another 6 months. Its absurd.

Certainly, with a bit of care you could do it with your current stats.

The race to 120.....
But if it takes around 1 month for 99 at around 13m exp, 120 is around 104m exp (or somewhere around there) so logically it would take at least 8 months, but surely nobody could keep that intensity of no lifing up for 8 months.

19-Apr-2010 - Forums Reshuffle
I still think the main problem is the last thing you touched upon. They have no effective way of reporting spam. When i last went there, there was just a thread you would post in and copy/paste the Qfc of the thread with spam. That is hugely insufficient and many probably do not even know of that and think there is just no way of reporting. I think it would benefit Jagex to have a full forum conversion to another software, or to upgrade their own which they use, just to at least to create a report function. A mass forum clean out is what is needed and to then keep it clean.

19-Apr-2010 - Forums Reshuffle
RSOF was usually full of two things. New and younger players being trolls because they know no better. Older and higher level players being trolls because they want to. It is still the same, except now they do it in two different places.

Tip.it Dungeoneering recruitment forum
I doubt there would be enough demand for a whole forum for it. But a sticky somewhere would work if there was enough demand, however, where would it go?

The race to 120.....
I would estimate at least another year and a half until somebody gets to 120. It could take around 9 months if they carried on at this rate for all those months, but I doubt anybody would do that.

F1 2010 Season
Wahey somebody else posted so I can post again. I agree, it was a good race. *cough*long straight with hairpin at end*cough*. Once again Button excelled in the changeable conditions and made the correct choice. He may not have had the best outright speed but you don't need to if you make the decisions that give you 70 seconds over everybody else. There were more overtakes than you could probably list, it was just action throughout. I'm loving just how consistent Kubica has been so far this season, he really should be in a better team, he has shown with bad teams that he can get results, but nobody really seems to give him a chance.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
You need a bank pin :shame: The only people that need bank pins are those who are expecting to get hacked. I would strongly encourage everybody to get a bank pin. I wasn't expecting to get hacked a year or so ago, but because I had a bank pin It stopped me losing millions. I reserve the right to laugh and point at people who acknowledge bank pins but decide not to get one, then get hacked losing everything.

Them Stowaways
This is my neighbours band, I knew he played but did not know he was in a band until he handed me a CD with all their current songs on. http://www.myspace.com/themstowaways I have to say, they are not the best, but for an amateur band, they are not as bad as a majority. The only main problem i see is that the Lead is not easy to understand as he seems to be trying to sound grungy but it comes off a but mumbled. Any thoughts on how to improve? If I see him I may pass it on as I doubt many people have herd them to give them feedback.

200M in all Skills
I honestly don't think SUOMI is in that strong of a position. Sure, he's 200M agility, but his only other 200Ms are fletching and fishing. He's really not that far along at all. Drummy, on the other hand, is a much stronger contender even if he's doing things a little backwards. The fact that he's got some melees done but not slaying doesn't really mean anything, considering he can just SW for slaying exp anyway (hopefully while finishing up str exp there). Drum's got six 200ms out of the way, even if some aren't impressive skills, which best as I recall puts him further ahead in the race than anybody else. The guy is disciplined and he puts in around 20 hours a day. I don't know what to think about Zarfot. He's only done buyables at this point, mostly stuff with high hourly exps. From what I know, Drumgun just wants to get rank 7 in Rs. Hence why he went for skills that are faster to train than the slower ones. Plus the fact that he cw's a lot he isn't a threat for #1, but i don't think he want's to be.
