yes, I've had it. I'm fed up with this community. There's only a few people who's post are fun, and those get undermined by the enormous quantity of IDIOTS browsing this forum! HAH, NOT! well, kind of true, but I'm staying nonetheless If you want attention maybe you should start being a half decent poster! Could it be over with these leaving topics now? Thanks in advance, How2PK & about 98% procent of the OT community.

Seppuku (Harakiri) - Hm, I've been thinking for half an hour now of something usefull to write about this movie, but I just can't find the words to describe how amazing this movie is, without falling into clicḫ̩̉̉s (hehe, damn, this is a one big clicḫ̩̉̉ :D). Just speechless. If you live in America: buy the Criterion. If you live in a non r1 region, and have a region free DVD player: buy the Criterion. If you live in a non r1 region other than japan or hong-kong: download the freaking movie. You do not want to miss this. Everything is perfect. 10/10 Info about the Criterion release. :)

Ah, okay. Thanks Matt. Oh, that first part with all the smart words was from Wikipedia, forgot to edit the page in. But I'm sure most of you got that already. :P

What do you mean? "HD Ready" is the government mark that can be put on TVs that are 780p or above. Most HD TVs are 1080i like mine. That currently IS full-HD. The fact that a product bears the label "HD ready" does not necessarily mean that it can display the full picture resolution possible from a HD source. Most HD-ready sets do not have enough pixels to give true pixel-for-pixel representation without interpolation of the higher HD resolution (1920x1080) - or even the lower HD resolution (1280x720) horizontally (CRT based sets, or the plasma based sets with 1024x768 resolution). And you're going for the future with buying an expensive t.v., but you're already behind. :P I'd say when you're spending that much money alreayd, you might as well go for the 'real' thing. :P I could be mistaken, as I'm not really the technical guy. And I thought full HD was 1080P

I'll take the air if you don't mind. :) But still pretty cool thing! -
You guys shouldn't worry so much and just leave eachother alone. Nobody is getting much better of this. Although I have to admitt that it's quite funny to see these cats fighting over the intrawebz.

Truth. But still I'd like to know what this is about? is the board not to be named Deloriagods forum where people can talk about their relationship? Oh, haha. I think I already got it. You honestly think people are leaving this forum to go to another forum because Fa(how does the rest of your name go?) went to that forum. haha.

Yea, but HD-ready doesn't mean that much either. Full HD is best. Hmm, I'll see. What I'll do. Most important thing is that I can watch the movies. That's why I keep buying DVD's. I lie down the other way around now, you know, with my head at the foot-end of my bed. So that my eyes are closer to the screen. :P

It's worth it Daan :D *wub my big tv* ^_^ Yea, I'm saving up for one. And I've got an offer to buy a mate's t.v. that he has had for two years. Pretty big screen with great image quality. Because he took the PS3 offer we got from sony; 40inch full HD t.v. + PS3, extra controller, 2 games, HDMI cable and a blue ray movie for a measly ̢̢̮ââ¬Ã¡Ãâì2185,--. :o Wish I was older and had some more money. :P

I can see where you're coming from. But I'm against censoring and banning, so.

I'm everything but an expert on this kind of stuff. But I just feel like saying you did a great job, it looks great Matt! Can't believe I'm the first one replying. :?

I'm not going to replace every thing of course. :) Perhaps my favorites. I'll continue buying movies on the winning format.

I'm nothing special.

The Wii is it for me at this moment. I might get a 360 as well though. I bet the PS3 is going to be great as well, but it's a little bit too expensive for me.

Jeans and a black or white t-shirts. And instead of a jacket I just wear a hoodie type of thing, but then without the hood? :P If that makes any sense, hehe. Sometimes I go wild and I put on a shirt with something extra, like a print on it or something. Or a flashy color.

Biggest part of those children sucked the life out them when they were a couple of months old. But still funny though. (x4) (x3)

Of course directors are important, and of course their influence is the most important, and goes beyong writing, acting, composing and whatever. Without your director you can't have a movie. You can have a movie without actors, you can have a movie without a story, you can have a movie without music. But you can't have a movie without a director. Everything you see on that screen for those two hours or w/e are an extension of the directors view. They make the movie, they are head responsible for what you see on the screen. Next to that there are a whole lot of 'authors' who put their signature on every movie they make because they use a certain style. A handful of importnat ones: Orson Welles D.W. Griffith Ernst Lubitsch Charles Chaplin Buster Keaton David Lean Michael Curtiz Quintin Tarantino Preston Sturges John Ford John Cassavetes Stanley Kubrick Billy Wilder Michael Curtiz Terrence Mallick Jaques Tourneur Ridley Scott David Cronenberg James Cameron John Carpenter [bleep]e Lee Sidney Lumet Woody ALlen Elia Kazan Nichalas Ray Nicholas Roeg Francis Ford Coppola Martin Scorsese George Lucas Carol Reed Frank Capra Steven Spielberg Alfred Hitchcock Jean Renoir Jean Vigo Jean-Luc Godard Jean-PIerre Melville Alain Resnais Jean-Pierre Jeunet Michael Carn̮̩̉̉ Robert Bresson Luchino Visconti Francois truffaut Lous Malle Roberto Rosselini Vitorio deSica Fedrico Fellini Etore Scola Paolo and his otherbotherforgothisname Taviani Michelangelo Antonioni Luis Bunuel Pedro Almodovar Carl Theodor Dreyer Krystof Kiezowski Bella Tarr Ingmar Bergman F.W. Murnau Sergei Eisenstein Andrei Tarkovsky Elem Klimov Aleksander Sokurov Roman Polanski Andrej Wajda Emir Kusturica Fritz Lang Yasujiro Ozu Akira Kurosawa Kenzi Mizoguchi Masaki Kobayashi Hiroshi Teshigahara Kaneto Shindo Ki-duk Kim Wong Kar Wei Sadoa Yamanaka Sam Peckinpah Satayit Ray And how many hundreds am I forgetting (excuse the spelling erros in the names).
