  1. What has got Stevie Nicks to do with Steely Dan? She was with Fleetwood Mac. Ry Cooder.
  2. No, I don't notice that. And I don't know what defines rock.

    Stardust

Is it still playing? I saw it three months ago in cinema or something. But yea, it was amazing. It was everything something like Narnia wants to be. An exciting, romantic, funny fantasy film for the entire family.

    Daft Punk

I've seen the show as well. 4 July this year. A friend phoned me the day before that he had one ticket left, and gave it to me. It was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. The prymid, with the lights, it was an experience close to the one I had when I saw 2001:ASO for the first time.
  9. yesterday: A christmas CD at work. "Now: 21 massive Christmas hits" Jeff Buckley - Grace (Ultimate edition cd 1 + 2) Katie Melua - Pictures (rest of the day at work on repeat) and at home I played Radiohead's In Rainbows two times, because I bought it yesterday.
  10. yesterday. Today will be full of christmas music at work. *sigh*
  11. Seen a lot of things lately, but for some reason I always forget to post. Last movie I saw: Iklimer - What a let-down. A lot of long shtos, that aren't very functional, not even very special. And it isn't really a problem on itself, but if there's nothing happening, it gets incredibly boring. Ceylan and his girlfriend aren't very happy together. That's what you get in the first minute. Then you see them together at a friends place, they ride a scooter, break up, he plays some tennis, he has sex with his ex (another ex), he's in the sauna, he goes traveling, he meets Bahar again, and in the end they're still unhappy. This goes all in close ups, and a 'deep' look in the eyes. The underlying message must be that there is a culture change in Turkey, the possition of the female in relationships in changing, at least, that's what I suspect. But all in all I just didn't care one bit for the movie and it bored the hell out of me. And that doesn't happen very often. I prefer Ozu.
  12. How can i possibly live up to that? :P click Yea, it wasn't possible. You're completely different. :D Still not looking bad though, as far as I can judge. How old are you?

    Sweeney Todd

I've seen some play versions of it (fragments, not the complete versions of course). And I wonder if Johnny Depp can handle it. Too bad they haven't used people from the play. And especially from the following fragment: Listen to this Honestly, how could something like that could be done better by two movie stars. But ah well, somebody has to bring the people to the movie-theater.
  14. Couple of new orders: Bicycle Thieves Criterion The Busby Berkeley Collection (Footlight Parade / Gold Diggers of 1933 / Dames / Gold Diggers of 1935 / 42nd Street) W.C. Fields Comedy Collection, Vol. 2 (The Man on the Flying Trapeze / Never Give A Sucker An Even Break / You're Telling Me! / The Old Fashioned Way) Almanac of Fall Now I'm going to stop spending money for this month. I forgot to mention the Ningen no Joken trilogy in the previous post.
  15. I hope to get those tomorrow. ;) Nice pre-order! I still haven't seen Ultimatum. :(
  16. Got some other things yesterday: The Fountain Zodiac War & Peace (Vidor) Master & Commander 2-disc The Other Side of the Mirror: Bob Dylan at New Port Folkfestival '63-'65 And... I bet this makes Matt and Indy Happy.
  17. I was glad I catched it in cinema the last day it played. Good movie, excellent ending.
  18. Going to see Witness for the Prosecution in cinema in a few minutes. Maybe I can make somebody jelous with this?
  19. Yea, we had an 'exclusive' premiere at the film by the sea festival in September. It was fantastic.
  20. Hahaha, that was exactly what I always think about when I read that name. Would it be: A lexis on fire Alex is on fire or Alexis on fire
  21. I have my doubts about that. :P Pre order: And....I built a new place for my DVD's. Since the old cabinet was too small (everything in double layers, and completely full) we made a new system with planks. I put it above my t.v. There's 4 planks of 1 meter and 60 centimenters now. And I'm getting two extra this week. It looks awesome. I'll post pics later.
  22. Oh, Harrington! That tri-pod looks so cool! Must have been an amazing show with the lighting and so! And the music of course. :) Yesterday I heard that I'm going to England next year with a friend, and that I'm going to see Bjork there on April 14th. In Hammersmith Apollo. Is that a nice concert hall?
  23. Ah, come on. A little converstion is fun Matt. It would be nicer if there was a thread on general, and on off-topic sepperately. But ah well. We tip.it users are never statisfied. Maybe we should be happy that we're finally allowed to use them.
  24. /me raises hand I think they're very good. And I'd love to see them live. I bet that it'll come from it very soon. My favorite albums are Absolution and Black Holes & Revelations. For some strange reason I can't really get into the first two albums. Unfortunatly. I love the videoclip from Bliss though. At the time it came out I didn't really like the music. But for some reason the clip made quiete an impression on me because I remember it exactly. I think that Time Is Running Out is my favorite Muse track. It's incredible, it's so powerfull that it gets me everytime I hear it. That this inevitalbe thing that's going to cause complete distuction (both inside, but outside as well) is coming, you know that it's coming, but for some reason you can't stop it. Brr. Great song.
