Seeing as how the FPS update was so popular we decided to make some changes. Starting now, you can add an extra dollar onto every month's membership you purchase. For each dollar added, one more FPS will be added onto your game experience. In other news: All players will now have a default max of 5 fps -Jagex

Kind of reminds me of the Prisoner's Dilemma. If no one spins the wheel it goes away, but we can't be sure the other players won't. So, to stay competitive, we spin the wheel, meaning that it will have to stay. Yes, Jagex just made me compare us to prisoner's. FML. Also, I wouldn't have any problems with the wheel if they got rid of the micro-transactions. Jagex, what are the percentage of players who regularly buy spins? Seeing as how you are so eager to release statistics...

The only random I heard of taking away your runes is the pillory. Which I guess is cuz it doesn't teleport you to a special area, it teleports you to the cage in Varrock or Yanille or whatever. Presumably a bug. I got a pillory and had all my runes still....

Except this is contradictory to previous rewards they had given out. First, assume that those numbers of 500k xp and 500k gp are correct. Does anyone remember the update on November 24th, 2010 where they started giving out money for having completed tasks? This money was given out retroactively as well, meaning many people logged in and found 500k ish for free. There were a few people who were angry over this free money but most people didn't care, there was only a minor fluctuation in the economy that quickly sorted itself out. Now why would 500k gp back in 2010 be okay but today it risks destabilizing the economy? Clearly then, Jagex does not want to just give us free xp. However, as the annoying in game ad so helpfully tells us, they will give every person who plays in May free 250k xp. So apparently, massive amounts of free xp will not destabilize the economy either. This just leaves one other possible alternative. The real reason Jagex does not want to give questers free spins is because it would cut into their profit of selling spins. By screwing over questers, Jagex somehow thinks that they will be more likely to buy spins? I know for one, I won't. [/rant]

I'm surprised that nobody is complaining about them turning Ozan white. Players have started riots over less... Though that's probably kind of low on players' priorities given current events. That, and his expression is less "Cool guy Jesus" and more "You're my next rape victim". If I was a parent, I wouldn't let my kids play a game with that thing staring at them on the main page. They probably would be too scared to, anyway. Uncanny valley in its purest form right there. Please don't actually start a riot. I'm not being serious. :twss: Riot, World 66. Except we can. 250k free experience for giving them $5 this month? If I didn't even play but still payed them, I would be paying them for free exp. Do not want. Plus, they are just trying to shove the wheel in our face even more. Edit: sorry did not read closely. It is an item that doubles exp up to 250k. My email just said free 250k exp.

Or, perhaps thats just what they want us to think...

Hope this doesn't break the rules, I think I edited it enough. Got these two within 15 seconds of each other. At this rate, gold will be free in 40 minutes!

I'm more worried about the line in the new rule that states This makes it sound like soon Jagex will be selling not only gold and items via SOF, but also accounts.

F2P can get the two masks but not the permanent gun. To get the gun you need to find all 5 eggs 3 times and 2 of them always spawn in members worlds.

Except there was something very exciting to come out of this update which most people are not noticing, the customizable interface. The fact that we now have the ability to move and personalize parts of our workspace (albeit a small, only occasionally existent part) is promising. I think that part of this update was really to see how well the customizations worked on a large scale before investing too much development on redoing the whole UI. This is a small, simple pilot test for their new technology. They could not have done it with existing parts of the UI or fear a major rewrite anyways. The easiest way would have been test it out on something new, something small. I see it as Jagex bribing us with in game goodies to test their new toy before they spend too much time on something that fails horribly. TL;DR: This update was not a waste of development resources

Does everyone remember them releasing the Dragon plate and full helm? Both of them were already outclassed when they were released but they were made anyway. They were made because we wanted them. Some people want a dragon crossbow.

There are a few hidden tasks too. Cut a tree with a hatchet better than steel. Mine ore with a pic better than steel. Autocast wind rush. (not sure if this one is hidden) Swap attack styles. (same as above) Enter the Runecrafting guild

You have to finish all of the other tasks that have that funny tower symbol on them AND the new quest with the pie. I had done all the tasks but could not join until after the quest.

Anyone remember the community events they did early last year where a JMod logged in with some players and they went bot hunting? Remember how effective it wasn't? Flashy is good to promote the company line of 0 tolerance but does little in reality to actually solve the problem.
