  2. ok lets turn this arround a little. first off why must we keep dissin jagex? they made the game in the first place and if thats a problem stop playing :shame: . secondly a good bit of stuff you havent heard of. they keep you on your toes with things you dont know ie. stimulates the brain. thanks to runescape you now know something you wouldent have before \ . thirdly do you have any idea how hard trying to find an original idea in this day and age is? absolutely everything real and imaginary is already somewhere on the internet, dont bash em too much because *gasp* one of the other 13 billion people on this planet came up with it already. personally i'm still waitin for chupacabras, not skeletal wyverns and chimeras, if those are added i'll be a happy camper :thumbsup:

  8. i dont know about you but i'm happy with my discounted obby cape, 99k instead of 250k and the added bonus of not having to deal with money grubbing merchants is a plus in my book not a fan of the dorky emore the quest cape has but oh well anyone know how much the new room costs to build? i'll be makin one later, wanna make sure i have enough, runnin borderline broke heh also very happy with the weapon swappin to a staff thing bein fixed, accidentally spent 2 hours trainin atk instead of str one time because of that
  9. you *can* hit 80-90 with range, one of the new bolts does 20% of enemies health to them in damage and 10% to you, the only thing you'd hit 90 on would be jad in the caves tho, rangers can hit the kbd for like 57 with em too unless your fighting one of the titans tho you wont hit anywhere near 50 with range, regardless cannon can hit constant 30s on many enemies so ranger is still balanced, only melee weap that does multi enemies is d2h's special which is lame back on the original topic the new defence when aimin for a +2 str bonus helps a good deal on food, i'm powertrainin str to 99 for the new capes \

  11. wait, life exists out side of runescape? in my experience people are just as cruel in the real world. not as easy to toggle chat off tho.... good luck out there, just dont assume that since your dealing with an actual person you cant still be stabbed in the back. good luck
  12. i say attack and str are equally important, over time both high atk or high str will result in more damage so train both. i'm focusin on gettin str to 99 first so i vener have to look at a scimmy again but thats just me. defence is to be balanced with what you have for food and what your fighting. i'm killin dusties and bones to peaches covers my food easy so i'm not worried about what my defence lvl is, its apparently high enough.
  13. tip.it says 85 hp and runehq says 75. can a green dragon killer confirm one or the other? i wont be killin em for a few weeks, i just wanna calculate how many i'll need to kill. 10hp makes a lot of difference...
  14. i agree that a good amount of skill capes wont serve much use, rather lookin forward to the combat capes tho. still some of the stat capes could be nice if you intend on usint that skill as a source of money, catchin fish faster or choppin trees faster for instance would be nice i do agree that a firemakin cape would be useless but then again the firemaking skill itsself is useless, almost as useless as body runes. yes the capes will lose their zeal over time, fire cape losts its bragging rights a good while bac, too many have em. d-chain isnt near as revered. a santa isnt all that impressive but who cares? you earn 99 in a skill for self satisfaction, the cape is just icing on the cake, a pat on the back, and of course a nice way to show your dedication to a skill.
  15. first off some people are partially color blind, more contrast between the background and text was needed so all you orange happy people get over it, its not gonna kill you. secondly the run button is more convenient to click on then even before the change, the hard part will be getting used to its new spot the capes sound fun, i hope the strength cape is good, i'll be gettin 99 str soon zezima, novalyfe and them others with 99 all should be pleased... the new room will help a lot, random event items are takin up a lot of room... its like a joke i once read in someones sig: Q: how many runescapers does it take to change a lightbulb? A: 5000, 1 to change the bulb and 4999 to complain about how it was better before it was changed if you want a game that doesnt change over time go play kingdom hearts :boohoo:
  16. why is it so many people had a problem with sheep hearder? eh maybe the sheep just behaved for me or somethin, as for the cape u prolly get it when all current quests are done, if later u die with it u have to finish all the new ones to get it back.
  17. fire cape: proof of reflexes and kicking much behind of the strongest moster on runescape skiller cape: proof of patience both show skill, just different ones. getting 99 str isn't hard, it doesnt require any gaming skills, it requires time. beating jad requires gaming skill. both are to be revered
  18. the fish is in the underwater part of rfd, the whisk man is final boss, as for the winder elemental i'm tempted to say she's found in that one cave u go in doin the quest to use nardah's prayer alter. tired of rcing so i think i'll check nm, those peeps are waterie, tho that winter elemental thing does seem really familiar.... ittl come to me, as for perriffin i want that city to come out soooo badly
  19. what has always bugged me is the chainmail concept. i make chainmail as a hobby in real life and altho i've never made plate armor i know how to. makin chainmail takes the same time to make as plate in runescape. you can shape a steel plate in 3 hours if your working fast in real life, it would take 2 months to make a chainmail tunic (which i must say looks quite impressive now that i finally finished the thing :thumbsup: )

  22. taking fairy rings to get to kq is a lot less time in the desert and is about the same length, if you havent dont fairytale pt 1 then take shanty passes instead of the dramen staff

  24. How To Squash A VERY BIG Bug A.K.A. Kalphite Queen Killing The Kalphite Queen is not an enemy to take lightly. This lvl 333 is more then capable of holding her own. She boasts all three attack styles, and she's more then capable of dealing constant 30s. The KQ has two forms; a giant beetle immune to magic and range and a giant wasp resistant to melee(except for full verac's special). Suggested lvls: solo: 110 duo: average of 100 trio: average of 90 To kill her without veracs you'll need a range lvl of 70. you *can* mage her but the runes take too many inv spaces you'll need for food. Anything larger then a trio gets to be a pain, someone's always gotta leave or someone doesnt come prepared, in my experience its more trouble then its worth. Equipment Generic supplies: dds optional but poisoning her helps a lot rope X2 if your soloing dramen or shanty pass depends on travel path tele tablets lumbridge or house anti poison regular is more then adequet glory or fury must be glory if using lumby tabs legends or obi cape climbing boots With Veracs Veracs supplies: Full veracs obviously Without Veracs Non-Veracs supplies: berserker helm black mask rune defender obi shield whip d-scimmy crystal bow klarl x-bow and bolt racks black d-hide top black d-hide pants Getting There Drink all stat boosts at the bank; bank the rest so you can carry more shark. depending on if your using the fairy ring network or shanty pass follow the approprate path, the fairy ring cods is BIQ. Someone will need to use a rope to get into the lair. make sure your dagger is equip, special is turned on and auto retaliate is turned off. the lair itsself is a straight path with 3 rooms, just go along the path till the end of the path that opend onto the last room. walk the first part untill you start being attacked by kalphite solgers. solgers can poison you; if you take damage from them drink a dose of anti poison. right before entering the final room drink a dose if you diddnt take damage from the solgers. someone needs to use a rope in the middle of the room then climb down. be prepared, she's usually on the far west side so run that way till you see her. The Fight(Verac) Turn protect against MAGIC and protect item prayer on as soon as you enter the 2nd floor, run and find the queen. unleash all 4 specials with your dds onto the queen then swap to the flail. Swap regardless of if she is poisoned or not: the dagger doesnt hit often enough to be of any use unless you're using its special. attack her with the flail, eat as needed, you needent worry about her second form, you'll hit it just the same in veracs. The Fight(No Verac) Turn protect against RANGE and protect item prayer on as soon as you enter the 2nd floor, run and find the queen. Unleash all 4 dds specials then swap to your second stronger melee weapon regardless of if she gets poisoned. Swap regardless of if she is poisoned or not: the dagger doesnt hit often enough to be of any use unless you're using its special. Attack her till her beetle form dies then swap to your bow. For the wasp form again protect items prayer and pray range and stand a few squares back, she will not follow you and just like jad she will resort to range and magic. you cannot predict her attack like jad but gettin rid of her melee means less damage. it will usually take a while to kill her with range so keep bring a p-pot to keep prayer up. Soloing the Queen Contrary to popular belief you *can* solo the kq. you cant solo her in one run but its more then possible to tele out, eat, grab more food and then go continue the battle. it is completely possible to solo her with or without verac armor and I have personally done both neumerous times. Leaving and Coming Back Lumby tele tabs: tele out, pray at the lumby alter then glory to either edgeville or al kalhad to bank, eat and go again. House tele tabs: you'll need 47 con and to have built an alter and a mounted glory which goes in a quest room. pray at your house alter and then use the mounted glory to go to either edgeville or al kalhad to bank, eat and go again. pray at a house alter and rub a mounted glory.
  25. yo, great idea, i should have thought of it as i use lyres all the time to get seaweed #-o one suggestion for all the whiners about precutting oak and for those who have low con, what i did to go from lvl 1 - lvl 40 in a day was limestone, buy from the shop in mor'rton for like 20 ea, and carve em for free crafting exp, bank in burge de rott and make a decorative rock over and over in a second garden. its very very cheap compaired to cost of cutting planks and takes about the same time to get as walkin to the saw mill.
