  1. Hmm...It's hard recommending things to you, but perhaps try some Stevie Ray Vaughan? Yeah, Becoming the Archetype is incredible, though I only have The Physics of Fire by them. I also only have Controller by Misery Signals, so I'll listen to that album as well.
  2. Seriously, what is the point of doing that aside from cheating someone out of a recommendation? Wookie, try Ministry. Mlbfan, I notice that you've been listening to black metal now. Definitely check out Sacramentum's Far Beyond the Sun album if you haven't already. Additionally, try Agalloch's Ashes Against the Grain album.
  3. SilverSword - Agalloch Nadril - Primordial, Infected Mushroom Jaerkd00d - Rage Against the machine Warri0r45 - Suffocation Azvareth - Thin Lizzy, Black Label Society AdioLovesSquall - Darkthrone MoodJuice - My Bloody Valentine Intriguing - Between the Buried and Me How2Pk - Bob dylan Range_This - Bon Iver (I think...)
  4. ObZen and Destroy Erase Improve are great albums by them as well, the former probably being their easiest to find.
  5. Oh wow, I feel stupid. Wasn't aware that Bath and Leaving Your Body Map made a concept album. I still have yt to hear Leaving Your Body Map, actually >_<. I don't think that Dark Side of the Moon is a concept album, though. Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element Pt 1 Dream Theater - Scenes From a Memory Ayreon - The Human Equation
  6. Just wondering, have you heard their newish album, Turning Season Within? It's the only album I have by them, but it was one of my favorites of '08. Anathema - Judgement (album) Freaking amazing... I really should have listened to these guys earlier. No, I haven't heard that one yet - but I really liked Where Lovers Mourn, so I'll give it a listen. Anathema is pretty amazing, yeah. I would say A Fine Day to Exit is my favourite album. It's also their least accessible [even compared to their gothic doom metal releases] but when it hits you, it's a moving experience. Fates Warning - Pirates of the Underground Fates Warning = great prog/power that doesn't suck. Alright, thanks. I never really got into Fates warning. I have Awakening the Guardian, but the production irks me. Funkadelic - "Maggot Brain"

  8. It leaked a while ago. I tried listening to it, but didn't care for it too much, though I haven't listened to anything else by them. It might need more time to grow.
  9. Before; Blind Guardian - A Twist in the Myth (album) Now: Dark tranquility - "My negation"
  10. They definately take a long time to grow. Albumwise, though, get Bath.
  11. Atheist (there is going to be a YYZ cover on there. Should be interesting.) Brand New Mastodon Circle Takes the Square Ikuinen Kaamos Be'Lakor And probably a crapload of other stuff that isn't confirmed yet. 2009 looks like it's going to be really awesome.
  12. Minus Rise Against Plus Rise Against. What do you have against them? Just wondering. I just don't like them. Nothing really against them. Also most Maximum The Hormone and Amon Amarth songs, that stuff makes me go crazy. Oops, worded that bad, lol. Yeah, I have to agree about Amon Amarth as well.

  14. Guns N Roses - Chinese Democracy (album)

    Good Covers

Good luck with that; Their live bootlegs are only sold at concerts.
  16. Don't take this the wrong way, but for future reference, you are supposed to reccommend somethng to the people who posted right before you, not just take recommendations. Try some new Underoath. Sorry if you already listen to them.
  17. Burst - Lazarus Bird (album) This is... different. Maybe it will grow more.
  18. Buckethead - "Sail on Soothsayer (In Memory of Aunt Suzie 1932 - 2007)"
  19. Scar Symmetry - "Holographic Universe" Really, I'd recommend this song / album to any fan of prog metal.
  20. Agreed. On topic, the only Christian metal / core bands worth listening to in my opinion are Becoming the Archetype and new Underoath.
  21. Amazing band. Scar Symmetry - Holographic Universe (album) This vocalist is just amazing.
