  1. RB2's setlist is way better, IMO. Although Mars Volta, Tool, and At the Drive-in are awesome.
  2. Not A Rick Roll. MCR? That's worse than A Rick Roll! I have to agree. They aren't that bad. Though they shouldn't touch any guitar list, certainly.
  3. What do you consider good? St. Anger? First of all, they went back to the standard tuning instead of Drop D they used for previous 3 albums. Secondly, they are using a lot more faster rhythms and riffs. They tried their best to go back to the idea of Master of Puppets and kudos to them for doing best they can. St. Anger is one of the worst things I've ever heard, right down there with Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight. I don't care if they are using faster riffs or about their tuning if the song still doesn't sound good. This album simply can't hold my interest at all, and the vocals are just bad.
  4. You try to be 45 and write this stuff after nearly breaking up. That still doesn't make this a good album.
  5. Pain of Salvation is Prog, not anything close to death. They are still an incredible band. Actually, I would recommend them to you, Silver, especially their album Remedy Lane. If you don't like them for some reason, check out some of Devin Townsend's solo stuff, particularly the album Ocean Machine: Biomech.

    Muse

Muse is great, especially the album Absolution.
  7. Opeth - Blackwater Park (album) Some of SA's stuff is really solid power metal, especially Ecliptica and Silence. I don't think too much of Unia personally, but I'm not really into (later period) power metal anymore. Summoning - Between Light and Darkness Unia took forever for me to get into; I'm talking 6-7 listens. Now it's really addicting, but the last 3 tracks drag. And you liked Ecliptica and Silence more than Reckoning Night? Reckoning Night is my favorite Power Metal after Blind Guardian's Imaginations From the Other Side.
  8. I normally listen to buckethead, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, or (rarely) Liquid Tension Experiment. Anything with vocals completely distracts me though.
  9. Unia (album) - Sonata Arctica I saw them live with Nightwish on Friday, they were amazing. Unia also finally seems to have clicked as well, and I've been listening to it all weekend. If only the ballads didn't completely blow...
  10. You'll have to have it all added in when you pm it t assassin, since it would be his post and therefore you wouldn't be able to edit it. In this case, though, I think it would be easier if he just stickied the thread you already made.
  11. Megaman: Network Transmission. Or maybe I just suck at it, but I can't even get past the second boss...
  12. Look at some of the other ones that weren't destroyed by the rollback. I'd really be interested in the Smashing Pumpkins one though!
  13. Psychosocial was horrendous, I'll be avoiding this.
  14. Shame on you!!! Deathcore like that is for posers!!! Anyway, erm... I liked Dimmu Borgirs most recent album!!! Oh the humanity!!! You can't say that about someone when they already said they felt guilty about liking them...
  15. Rush - Moving Pictures (album) I'm really happy that it will be on rock band next week :D.
  16. I like Damnation best. Many people would disagree with me though.. (Woo for my post count) Damnation makes me cry my eyes out. It's so beautiful. My Arms, Your Hearse is Opeth's weakest in my opinion. Blackwater Park is their very best. Pink Floyd - Speak to Me/Breathe in the Air Yeah, get blackwater Park for sure. I think that their next best "heavier" album is Ghost Reveries, but Damnation is pretty freaking awesome as well.
  17. Even though there are all of these subgenres missing from this topic or whatever, Does that mean that all of them will be voted for? I don't really see the point of adding a subgenre to the list if no one is going to vote for it.
  18. Synester Gates is sorta average as fa as metal guitarists go.
  19. ...Why does it seem like every post of yours that I read is trying to start a console war?
  20. Does an m3real work as well as an R4?
  21. Prog, followed by Power, followed by most others, followed by death and grind.
  22. Their new stuff is horrid, but I actually like some of their older albums. I was told that "Whoracle" and "Colony" were ABSOLUTE MUST LISTENS LOLOLOLOL and I was really quite disappointed. They seem like a crap Dark Tranquillity. Oh, in that case, yeah, they're not IF U DON'T LISTEN U DONT LIEK MUSIC LOLOL albums, but I find Colony and Clayman to be enjoyable listens ever so often.
