  1. Had it happen to me, I've planted all 4 fruit patches at the same time (given the time it takes to get to each one). Went back around the time they should be done, the first and last ones were done, while the 2nd and 3rd weren't. The 3rd one finished in a little under 2 hours later and the second one wasn't done until about 6 hours after it should've been. Yea, the times are just approximate times that it will take to grow. They aren't meant to be taken too literal. Usually whenever I plant fruit trees because of that (with super compost and farmers watching), I don't even bother to check them until at least 24 hours later.
  2. Try this thread: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=470 ... t=designer
  3. I'm going to say go with the first one. While you could raise your mining with another 11-12k coal by using a normal furnace, the time it would take to mine it yourself probably won't be worth it if you're looking to raise smithing fast.
  4. I used a safespot right as you come down the ladder. On the south side of that cave are 2-3 rocks you can position yourself behind. With that one or the other one mentioned you should have no problem.
  5. But that's where you would actually wear vambraces, covering your forearms and wrists.

  7. Actually the full grown flowers in there protects the plants, not just growing them at the same time. But to the original question, in my opinion, if you have what the farmer wants without too much effort to gather, then pay them. If you're going to spend more time gathering the payment than growing the tomatoes, not really worth the bother.
  8. Moved to the Monster sub forum for you. \
  9. But with the tele to the house then to the pub in Canafis, it is a great way to do barrows (to make back all those millions) without having to be on ancients (slayer dart ftw). Add to that the costume room to free up a LOT of bank space. I wouldn't give up my house for twice what I've put into it already. (around 7-8 mil so far, with tearing it down and rebuilding 3 times so far :XD: )
  10. Because it's like FEEDING the leechers on your body. Only in this case, the leechers are the brainless baffoons or eight year olds that really should not even be playing the game. The more they PROTECT them, the more they will want to play. But that's jagex goal after all, because they have such a wide range of young players; financially this is the best move for them in the short term period. In the long-term run, the game will be dead within a few years unless they do something to fix it. Please, just because someone is naive, doesn't mean they are 8 years old. I work with people that have never played an mmorpg, they could fall for something like that if they played no differently. Not knowing that there are people out there that would actually want to steal imaginary items. Just because someone has experience in game and knows the scams, doesn't make them smarter, just more knowledgeable about the game. RS, in my opinion, is a beginner sort of mmorpg. Meaning that most players first game is going to be something like RS (because of the F2P aspect). Why shouldn't Jagex try to educate players that have never played this type of game before? As for the "leeching" or catering to the "fools". No, it's actually teaching them the same lesson, just without the loss of items/account aspect. EXAMPLE: Player uses "helmet" as their password. They like to talk about helmets. So everytime they type that in, they get the message "blah blah blah, said your password, account security blah blah blah". They then LEARN, to use a less common password as they won't be able to talk about helmets until they change it. And they'd see that changing it to another common word would do the same thing. End result, they figure out to make a more secure password. As chris1216 said, with this, there will be more time for CS to get to other reports faster. Which will benefit, the "non-fools".
  11. As it looks like you're mainly looking to buy bones, this would go more into the Prayer Marketplace where you can buy bones.
  12. Way to go on the intelligent, factual argument you've presented for discussion. Happily Jagex is currently busy tailoring their updates for players just like you. Sorry, but Baron speaks the truth. On the Update thread, there's about 2-3 posts on the first page complaining about the "noob quest". (didn't go past page 1, once I start seeing those kinds of posts, usually turns me off of other peoples opinions about the update) You know what the secret to pleasing everybody is? It's to not try to please everybody. Jagex does an update that is for some people this week, and next week an update that is for some others next week. There hasn't been an update in the 2-ish years I've been playing that hasn't been complained about. I don't see how, anything else they could have been working on, would've been any better. Maybe it might have been something you wanted/used, but I'll guarantee that there would be some people to complain about it.
  13. Actually the whole sentence would be blocked, so Player B won't see anything but *'s
  14. So what if they are trying to help out, more naive people? The only people it will affect is: 1. The "foolish" who fall for these things 2. And the ones who use it against them. If you're not in either category, then why does it matter what Jagex does to safeguard it's players?

  19. Actually, this would belong more in Player Made Guides. You were right, this is for asking for tips and advice, rather than just starting a thread to give them. Going to lock this.
  20. Exactly, quality over quantity. Just posting to raise your post count usually leads to spam (and will probably be removed) which won't help your post count anyway. As for the double posting, it's considred spam and could lead to actions against your account here. A slip up every now and then is understandable. But if you think of something else to say in a thread and your post is last, that's why there is an edit button.
  21. As everyone else said, probably they meant cannonballs. Going to lock this as it's becoming a spam magnent :anxious:
  22. But most of the "overdone" threads have been made into stickies, which never leave the first page. Yet, there are still plenty that get locked for not using the sticky. And if someone comes along in 3 months and has a rant that might have been posted before (and is no longer there) can post a new thread. Nothing forces anyone to contribute to it if they feel it's been "done to death". As a matter of fact, not replying to it and letting it go will result in it being forgotten and falling off faster.
  23. Locking, as has been posted, Jagex owns the account. So it's not stealing. This is just going round and round now about whether or not they can/do lower skills. Which they may have in the beginning (but I doubt), but they don't do it now.
