  1. Why are you people so grim, I'm pretty sure the end of the world will never happen in our life times and even if it does (I don't mean to sound ignorant here) who cares? I mean at least its everyone's world and not yours that's coming to an end. I say, whatever happens, happens. As long as I die with no regrets.
  2. Well, I have a friendly compromise rather than internet war. What if eBaum was forced to credit the websites he steals from rather than plagerise. In the end eBuam's website would just be a sort of archive of random sites where all their stuff is held. I dunno, it's kinda hard to force someone to stop stealing when they're already gotten so good at it.
  3. Crash is pretty good both movie and soundtrack. Most of the songs are composed by Mark Isham and a few by Sterephonics but overall it really sets this mood that I can't reallly describe. Just watch the movie and you'll get what I mean.

    King Kong

Overall an excellent movie. I loved almost everything about it except 2 things distracted me from enjoying it completely: 1. Jack Black: okay, don't get me wrong, Jack Black is an excellent entertainer but seriously the entire movie I couldn't help but laugh at everything he said. The friend I went with told me to pretend everything Jack Black said was separate lines for a soundboard and I cracked up everytime Jack Black said something. Other than that I give props to Jack for doing an excellent job. 2. The Tribes People: Usually when I go to a scary movie of some sort I usually get kicks as to how predictable everything is. But seriously I was honestly, and truely frightened by the Tribes People, even when they weren't hissing or cursing the crew. (And for any smart bum who wants to call me racist, grow up).
  5. Okay, so I didn't start this thread to get a storm of "woohoo Stairway to Heaven!!!!!" I know it's an excellent song but honestly Led Zeppelin has greats that are pretty high up there in my books that I just can't get enough of. My favorite of all time is "All My Love" on their In Through the Out Door album. I really like "No Quarter" and "Boogie With Stu" Oh ya, I've also noticed a lot of people not only on this board but in other areas spelling it "Led Zepplin" I mean honestly....
  6. Wow the same 2 artists Death From Above 1979: Romantic Rights (25) Bloc Party: Like Eating Glass (24) Death From Above 1979: Cold War (23) Bloc Party: She's Hearing Voices (23) Death From Above 1979: Turn it Out (21)
  7. okay, I love Final Fantasy 7 but seriously have you ever read through ever line and realized how lame it sounds. The story is great but the dialogue is cabbage.
  8. I think everyone should just take a deep breath here and realize that nothing is going to happen on June 6th, 2006 other than a movie called The Omen: 666. The original starred Gregory Peck and it was sweet. Now, can we all pretend for a little while not to care about the "apocalypse" everyone is trying to predict on no basis whatsoever, like that Da Vinci Code book, but that's a different time.

  10. I always thought my forum name was pretty unique...but that's just my opinion...it's pretty low on the coolness level.
  11. I'd say I'm pretty open especially in big crowds. I guess it's from being in band all through high school and preforming piano. I'm okay with embarrassing myself. For example in my grad year I "sang" Britney Spears in front of 300+ people for a pep rally (it was into one of those foamy microphones). Uhh, well I'd say I'm pretty funny and I've never really held a grudge with anyone my entire life except for 1 time during Grade 7 but taht was 5+ years ago so ya...I'd say socially I'm doing A-OK.
  12. I stopped playing Runescape about a year ago...since then I have: Gotten a job Quit that job to go to University Went to University Studied a lot drank when the time was right (Halloween, Reading Break, Thanksgiving) Studied even more Studied for my finals In the Process of doing my finals Drinking after my finals Going home for christmas, other than that Runescape really wasn't anything much but a commercial break for when I wanted to take a breather from doing normal stuff. (yes, playing runescape is not normal).
  13. I haven't seen a topic about this yet and well it is the time of the season so which Christmas Carol (or some kind of remake by a popular artist) is your favorite? For a Traditional Christmas Carol I like almost any version of Drummer Boy I don't know why, it just sounds good. As for the more "pop" cultured christmas song it would have to a song Queen did about Christmas can't remember the title of it but it was pretty good nonetheless.
  14. I don't know if anyone has heard of them: Madison's Panic- British Columbian band, haven't made it big yet, you can sample their music at http://www.madisonspanic.com Bloc Party: Don't know if they're main stream or not but it seems if I ask anyone about them they don't know so maybe. Eagles of Death Metal: Don't know if about their "undergroundedness" etc.

    DCFC fans?

I love everything they do. Plans is great and so is Transatlanticism (other than the fact that the song Transatlanticism is long and anti-climatic). They're great to listen to during homework time. It's like they're there but not obtrusive...Awesome music. Although most of my friends disagree and say they're a chick band...

    Emo

I listen to emo occasionally, I wouldn't say it's my favorite genre, but nonetheless I still listen to some. But if you took one look at me you'd never think for a second that I like emo. I've hardly ever adopted the stereotypical look that comes with music (if I did I'd have to change every day). I listen to a variety of music from rock to the occasional rap (although its main use is for mockery). I don't understand why people need to hate other genres, I mean hasn't anyone ever heard of musical diversity? Are people here so narrow-minded that we can't see that everyones thoughts, beliefs, and likes differ and no matter how much bickering and arguing we can never really change them. We need to learn to stop battling each other and accept, and respect each others beliefe rather than bashing them. In other words...Can't we just get along?
  17. I'd start out small if I were you. Find out if you're really gonna get into it and then upgrade, that way you won't be wasting too much money (although I hardly find buying an instrument a waste of money even if you don't learn to play it, it's more of an investment). Also don't go and buy a pro guitar that will be easier to play than a beginner one, learning to play the hard way first then buying a guitar that's easier to play is probably your best bet, that way you're actually learning. Oh ya, and try the guitars out, find one that's a good size for you, I have an acoustic and I wouldn't mind if it was a little smaller. You'll find that if you dedicate to learning guitar it has its pay offs (chicks dig guys that play guitar....period).
  18. Have you guys ever wondered how the telemarketer feels on the other side. I mean sure, some of them don't care but everytime I hear about someone hanging up on a telemarketer I remember that Family Guy episode where the telemarketer phones and the person on the other line hangs up and he starts crying. I mean they really are just people trying to make a living. As for a funny story I was once called by telemarketer during Final exam season last year and I was kinda short tempered so I decided to play with this guy. When I told him I was busy and didn't want to answer his survey he asked if there was a better time to call him back, I gave him a time and then said "Ask for Puntar Sanderfish" and he said okay. I was expecting him to call on Saturday afternoon but he never did.
  19. Thank you so much for posting this. I was born in Saudi Arabia and both my parents are Lebanese so most of my friends assume that I'm Muslim and I have to clear up that common misconception. My mom, however, was Druze (not sure of the spelling) which is supposedly a type of Islamic belief but her family never really practiced it. I especially enjoyed the fact that you cleared up the stereotype of all Muslims being extremists. I've tried to explain it to my friends and they still don't get it. I don't think I could thank you enough.
  20. Not enough Iron, take some iron supplements they won't do you any harm but I would consult a real doctor rather than trying to get advice from a forum.
  21. I don't know but I'm pretty sure it's the funniest thing on TV right now. I don't get to watch them often but when I do it brightens up my day. I wouldn't know if they got cancelled, maybe they moved it to a different time?
  22. I'm 18 and ever since I was 15 I could grow a full beard in about a week, I'm not talking like full shaggy beard past your chin but it gets pretty long. Long enough to really hurt if you try and use a disposable. Also, I'd suggest investing in a good electric shaver. Usually when I get lazy and I let my beard grow out I use my electric to knock it down a bit, but I prefer the razor shaving so I stop midway and start using my MACH 3 TURBO RAWR. Ya, I'm weird like that.
  23. This topic will never come to a close. In my english class my professor prohibited anyone from writing their final persuasive essay on it just because its impossible to do in a 1000+ word essay. Everyone has their views, some are more right than wrong. I have strong beliefs in Divine Intervention so the whole Humans punishing Humans kind of turns me off. "Let ye without sin cast the first stone."
  24. I don't know if anyone has seen this episode it was on this last sunday the 27th of November. Lois takes Stewie to a daycare and she realizes that Stewie doesn't spend enough time with Peter. Eventually, Peter and Stewie find a common interest in beating up Lois. One day Lois get Stewie in trouble and Peter doesn't back Stewie up and Peter feels pretty crappy about it and Brian asks if he needs cheering up and goes off screen and comes up dressed up as the Banana from that flash video "Peanut Better Jelly" and he starts singing the song for Peter. There you go, that's quite the detailed joke without giving away any of the others in the episode.
  25. Well, I'm in the last months of my first term of University and I'm kinda feeling jealous of all the people in highschool, lol. Ya, ya, I know it'll get better but right now better seems really far away.
