  1. Hey everybody! Recently (1-2 weeks ago) I've been getting 2 consistent errors that pop-up at specific times. Here they are: 1. At Start up - I get 3 consecutive errors telling me that 3 specific .dll files are missing (one error for each .dll file). I don't know what these .dll files do and where they belong but I don't know how to replace them. 2. Everytime I open my downloads folder I get a error from Windows Vista that says COM Surrogate has stopped working and the problem was caused by DivX. I haven't tried uninstalling and re-installing DivX yet but I can try. If anyone knows what the heck is going on here please post. It's annoying getting random error messages. Other than that my laptop runs fine. Cheers
  2. Yah, the triangle sweeping thing is taking me forever. Any hints?
  3. I saw them perform Human and Spaceman on SNL and I enjoyed both. The Killers have had a special place in my musical heart since Hot Fuss. I really enjoyed Sam's Town too. Them returning to a Hot Fuss sound is a good thing to me.
  4. Way to blow it out of proportion on the guy's part. In MapleStory if you die you don't lose items you just lose a certain % of experience. This has fail written all over it.
  5. How hot do you think that room gets...then there's the whole playing hours of WoW to achieve his goals = mass BO. Gross. There's nothing epic about this other than time wasting. I want 1 of his monitors. There's no way this guy has a day job.
  6. The original Dark Knight Teaser/Trailer was just the Bat symbol slowly fading into frame...sometimes a movie trailer is supposed to leave a lot to the imagination. The worst movie trailers are the ones that are a solid 5 mins long and at the end it feels like you've already seen the movie.
  7. One album that immediately sticks out for me that has a little bit of both and does it well is: Neon Neon - Stainless Style Amazing Album.
  8. [hide=Picture Here!] If no tie, unbutton top. If a tie, leave it buttoned. I think it's fine. [/hide] OMG Koalas, watch out! But in all seriousness, for future reference I think Semi-formal includes a tie and a long-sleeved dress shirt. If they tie has a pattern then stick with a solid colour shirt and vise-versa. Of course dress pants and dress shoes but if you're the kind of person who can pull off formal attire with sneakers without coming off as a jerk then go for it (good dress shoes are expensive and you don't wear them that often). Never button your shirt up all the way if you're not wearing a tie, it just looks weird. I'm guessing this is all too late but you can't say you didn't learn something.
  9. You can't super heat coal. You should be more specific as to what kind of bars you should be making. Also, the cost. Pretty good first try.

  11. It's not propaganda. Federal Governments (in Canada and everywhere else) get millions and millions of dollars in tax money from both alcohol and tobacco sales. They're required to say tell you the negative effects by law. It IS bad for you. My dad has been smoking for over 25 years now and every morning before any breakfast/coffee hits his mouth he has a cigarette. He sits for about 5 minutes coughing up all the crap in his lungs. Everyone's body is different. Just because your grandparents haven't been negatively effected (which I'm highly skeptical about) by tobacco doesn't mean no one else is. I understand what you're saying about fear tactics being used and I agree with your opinion but you need to get your facts right about what certain drugs do to you body (you are clearly misinformed and hence the point of the topic). I agree with you that teens/children should be given all the information about drugs (not just the negative statistics but what exactly a drug when it enters your body and why it's bad. Essentially, give everyone the science of the drugs which can be simplified so that it's easier to understand). Scare tactics are used all the time with young children because they're so impressionable (e.g. religion - heaven & hell). I don't remember who said but there's a quote that goes something like this "Give me a child at 10 and I'll give you the man."
  12. I've been wanting to learn bass too but I can't afford it with all the tuition I have to pay. I play my friend's bass every now and then. Here's a helpful webpage/forum that you can read through http://ultimate-guitar.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6 I always enjoy hearing about people trying new things. Good luck and stick with it!
  13. Just saw it last night with group of friends. Every second of that movie was amazing. Heath Ledger did so well, I prefer his Joker over the Jack Nicholson. I will definitely be either seeing it again or buying it on DVD/in a box set.
  14. It sounds like something Enya or Sinead O'Connor would sing. I'm working on that YouTube video right now hopefully that last hint will help. Here's the Video it's my little sister and niece... http://youtube.com/watch?v=9UhuU9S5M0g
  15. Okay this is going to sound ridiculous but there's a song out there that I cannot identify for the life of me. I've asked a majority of my friends and they're familiar with the song and they've heard it but they don't know who it's by or what it's called. All I can describe it as is an adult contemporary song (it's the kind of song you'd hear on a radio station that plays Phil Collins, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston etc.) So, here's the only thing that I know about the song and it's really hard to communicate using text but I'll try my best The chorus goes like this: doba doba dup dup dup ahhhhh.... I know it's sounds ridiculous but I can't describe it any other way. I really hope someone can help me out it's driving me crazy. If my description/hints aren't doing it for anyone here I'm sorry. Thanks for your time. \
  16. Mother Mother have an amazing CD. Catchiest song: Verbatim. Highly suggest everyone give it a listen.

  19. Guitar Hero III for PS2 and my hard drive crashed. One I asked for the other one...not so much.
  20. I'm a huge fan. My friend introduced me to Absolution and I fell in love. Went out and bought it and later bought Black Holes and Revelations. Soooooo good. Their early stuff is awesome as well. I've never had the chance to see them live but I've watched some videos and they're amazing. One thing though is that I wish people would stop saying they're Radiohead wannabes. I think there's a huge difference between Muse and Radiohead's sound.
  21. I can relate as well. I'm also Lebanese so I was pleasantly surprised to read this post. I've lived in Canada for 15 years but I still speak Arabic with my family members (mostly my mom and dad) and a majority of my family (my grandparents, almost all my uncles, aunts and cousins) live in Lebanon. People can't tell that I'm not Canadian and are usually really surprised when I tell them that I was born in Lebanon. I've also noticed an increase in racism towards middle eastern groups. We've all been categorized as terrorists and it's getting out of hand Up until 9/11 I never felt targeted by racism but we seem to be the premise behind a lot of jokes now. It's pretty ridiculous to assume that anyone born in the middle east is of Islamic faith. Both my parents were born into Christian households  .
  22. There seems to be a range of experiences so I guess I'll have to see which one I fall into. I've got an appointment on the 27th to get them checked out. I wonder if I can last that long?
  23. So I've been having trouble with my wisdom teeth. They are definitely getting compacted and are starting to hurt. I'm sure by Christmas I'll have to get them taken out. What horrible timing. Has anyone here had them taken out? What was it like?
