most personally anticipated show/movie of 2008?
The Office and Scrubs. Indy 4 looks pretty sweet too.

Yep, that's the Americans for you. Too stupid to figure out sarcasm. :wall:

Bring back the music of the '60's, well just the beatles
Simplicity. And for the Beatles, it worked. And they sound GREAT. You can't deny the pop-catchiness.

~!~The Office~!~
I love the Office. Seems to me that if everyone likes the UK Office so much, and that it was so much better than the US version, then why have no episodes been created since '03? Hmm... :-k

Hitman
Is it directed by Uwe Boll? :uhh:

Akon
\ How does this make sense? You may not like him, but there's no denying he has a pretty nice voice.

My Problem With Rap Music...
No need to insult me here, you could expres your thoughts on another way. Anyway your first sentence got me thinking (DEFINITION IS NOT AN OPINION). According to the Van Dale (best and biggest dictionnairy in my language) the definition of music is: As you noticed I don't like rap, so I don't like that sound. Which means, accoring to the definition of Van Dale, rap isn't music for me. How does that definition allow you to have an opinion about a definition? That's a definition...you can't interpret your own special way. It doesn't matter what you think; the definition of music will always be defined that way, and even so, the person who recorded it must have thought it was music, so therefore it is music. You may not think it's music, but it really is, so there. When people can't look at the positive side of something, and they won't go out of their way to find good things about it, and then ridicule it, it just makes no sense, and it's people like this that will always be closed-minded, thoughtless people until they can grow a pair and do something they might not really want to do. Or just shut up.

Overall Game of the Year: 2007
Easily Super Mario Galaxy. I think we've seen the re-evolution of platforming in SMG. Close behind: Bioshock, and Mass Effect.

Guitar Hero/Rock Band Discussion thread
This time also could have been spent practicing REAL guitar... I'm sorry, that was too rude of me. Guitar Hero is a blast; something you can pick up and play, not like real guitar, which also costs more. In the long run, real guitar kicks a million butts. For a couple days/months/years, Guitar Hero kicks a couple butts. :D

Manhunt 2...Sweet Jesus.
I agree with the violence part. By allowing people who play this on the Wii to actually act out (sans weapons) the visceral killing and brutalizing of others will just give ammo to people like Jack Thompson. But, at least teh Wii gives the real experience. :?

The best and worst band names ever
Best = !!! Worst = Panic! At the Disco (absurb. just like the fact that all those bands (such as Fall Out Boy and P!ATD) have names for their songs that are about 15 words long. that's stupid. and the name is dopey too. disoc? 30 years too late...)

Handheld consoles
I know people are trying to decide over PS3/360/Wii, but what about the handhelds? I have neither, but I definitely have, and still cherish, my GBA from about 5 years ago. So the question is: DS or PSP? In my opinion, the DS is better. Sure it doesn't lay music and doesn't keep photos, but that's what iPods are for. :D It can play GBA games (that's a biggie), classic big N franchises, a slew of good games, and TWO SCREENS + STYLUS. Can't go wrong there.

Console life-span?
Agreed. And the fact that there are not even 10 great games out on the PS3. Well, maybe 10, but NO MORE than 10. :P

For Christmas...
I guess you're right...I never thought of myself as a spoiled kid though... Oh well, i'd never go through anyways. Besides, there's much better music out these days I could get, like that new Soulja Boy CD.

The player with the one word vocabulary:"noob"
Basically, when you want to insult someone, you have to build up to it, and then you come to what I like to call "the punchline word." This can (but should never be) racist, sexist, or against ethnicity. Usually it's just a hateful word. And what word comes to mind first in RS apparently? Noob, becuase it "stings", it's not bleeping, and it is such a powerful word.

prices are insane
I agree. It's like saying that I paid $50 bucks for a game, and didn't get $50 bucks back. HECK NOES!!!!

Should F2P get skill capes?
I would say yes. First off, capes really don't give people any "perks", just the ability to show that they got 99 in whatever skill they got 99 in... They are not worth $5 a month, but still, it's hard to get 99 in skills on F2P I think, and yet they don't get the capes?

For Christmas...
Hey everyone. Hope you all had a nice, filling Thanksgiving. :) Anyways, I've recently heard some good things about the Wii, and have read good reviews of its recent games (Galaxy, Twilight Princess (of course), Mario Party 8, etc.) and also looking forward to Brawl. However, I've found my interest in games are beginning to wean a little bit, and I don't want this to happen. So I guess my question is this: Is a Wii worth it? Should I just ask for some games for my 360? I'd also like to note that I got the 360 this past summer and I don't think my parents would be very keen on getting a new system this eearly after getting another new one... Also, I keep up-to-date with gaming news, so feel free to suggest upcoming titles or little-known titles too. I'll do anything for some VG inspiration. :

Best console discussion thread
I agree. Only, the SNES didn't innovate as much as the NES did. Much better games though.
