MMORPG's - The drugs of today?
I just realized that I've been wearing sunglasses more often than normal, and until about 6 months ago, I hardly ever wore long-sleeved shirts... I guess I should get some help . . . The thing I've found with games, though, is that I'm "addicted" to them for maybe a month or so, until I've beaten them, or almost beaten them, but then I just stop, and go back to life as normal.. I'm the same way with books, although it's more like a few days to a week instead of a month.. Should we start touting books as drugs, as well?

Woah, you're QTIP? I haven't seen you for ages.. As for the sigs.. Well, they're pretty plain, they need a focal point, and the typo needs some work.

Trillian
I've been using Trillian for about 6 months now.. Before I started using it, I used the programs seperately, I had even tried Trillian more than once, but I didn't like it. For some reason when I tried it 6 months ago, something clicked, and now I love it.

Neopets! :D
Hm, says my account is 45 months old.. That's just the one I played most-often, though, I'm sure if I could remember my original account it'd be at least 6-10 months older.. I used to play a lot in middle school, but, I got bored.

Screwy Sound
About a week ago I installed a CD Burner in my grandmother's computer. Until just yesterday, her sound wouldn't work at all. All the speaker connections are fine, I can't find any broken drivers or anything, nothing's muted, nothing seems to be the matter.. Yesterday, like I said, her sound came back. It was back for about 10 seconds and then cut out again for about an hour, but now it's back almost full-time. She says though that every once in a while the sound will fade out for a bit and then come back in. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking it could be that the speakers are shot, but, I dunno..

Are you seriously considering going into a graphic or media-related industry? Are you seriously considering pursuing art as a hobby? If not..don't waste the $80..

Morality of "adblocking"
I, scarily enough, scaring myself included, agree with Dark Tigra on this one. As soon as ad companies become moral themselves, I will return the favor. But until then, I see no amorality in protecting computer from intrusions, and myself from the mental anguish that results from pop-ups, and especially annoying, repetative noises. I wonder if any of these companies realize that a lot of those sound ads will make people less likely to want to visit their website, let alone consider giving them any money.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
It's really difficult to say whether or not I liked it.. I was dissappointed that a few of my favorite jokes were left out of the movie. Things like Marvin talking to the police ship and it killing itself, and the actual dialogue from the "happy doors", for instance. I also didn't like how Marvin was portrayed. He looked like a fat aibo. I imagined him sort of the same, but much more thin, a smaller head, and shiny bright stainless-steel-like. The Vogons, I thought, played too much the role of the villian. Part of the reason the Vogons were so funny was they showed up when you'd least expect it, when you'd forgotten about them. I suppose they had to do that for it to be a good movie for the masses, though. I did, however, like a lot of the things they did. The expansion of the "sneeze cult" was rather amusing. John Malchovich's character was great. I also did, despite not liking the vogons, enjoy their trip to the planet, simply for the flyswatter things at the beach. That was one of the most full-out funny parts of the entire movie. Mos Def as Ford was, as Pete said, pleasantly surprising. I didn't think he would be good at all, but he pulled off the odd, quirky, alien part very well. Many of the things he said/did were high points in the humor of the movie. I'm conflicted on Zaphod, I think in the movie they made him out to be much more of a sort of shallow, ladies-man, moron, whatever, than he was in the book. Though the "thinking cap" was funny. Ford and Trillian's romance thing is also something I can't really decide if I like or not. I think it fit in well with the movie, and I think that it's something that would have fit in well in the book, too, if Adams had simply chosen to write it that way. Marvin's dialogue was funny, but ultimately I think he was underused and ill-interpreted. He could have brought up the entire movie. One final note: Douglass Adams did indeed write a screenplay for the movie, but he obviously had no say over the final product, and the writers, from what I've read, changed it fairly significantly. I think Adams' original screenplay held much more truly to the books.

Songs you hate that you love :)
Good Charlotte - Lifestyles of Rich and the Famous I know it sucks, I know it's inherently insipid, but it just sounds so good. :(

Sig question
Your signature privaleges were disabled because you had at least a couple of inapropriate sigs. However, I think they should be back. Submit an account problem report using this page: http://forum.tip.it/account-prob.html

What do u make ur web pages on
You were correcting the wrong thing there, Futurama. You can most definitely "make" a webpage, but hardly anyone makes it on anything. If you're any kind of a serious web developer you make the graphics and hand-code it. My advice is that if you want a good webpage, learn html. Maybe php, too.

Headphones
I have a set of Acoustic Research wireless 'phones I got for $100 USD. Sound quality is pretty good. It's not fantastic, but it's fine for me. I'm no audiophile, though.

Another Vector *more serious* .. COMMENT PLZ!
I wasn't saying it was neccesarily exploiting women..just that using that kind of a stock for this style had been done so many times..

Another Vector *more serious* .. COMMENT PLZ!
I'm guessing you traced a stock? Maybe try something besides a chick. Unless you have some specific use for a vectored woman, do something more interesting. Everyone does women. It's lame. As for this one, though, looks good, mostly. The hair could be smoothed a lot, though.

New Sig! ?
Nobody has any opinion of it?

New Sig! ?
I know I've used several incarnations of that tree element, but I've yet to find a use for it that I really like. This is going to be a contender, I think.

First try at a semi-realistic vector..
I know it's a poor excuse, but, I was bored, so, I tried my hand at creating a somewhat-realistic vector. It was done sort of slip-shod in about 20 minutes, but I'm fairly pleased with the results..

Have people lost it?
Or, just, redundantly unneccesarily stupid? :) I suppose this is amusing, if they were serious, but I think a lot of it reeks of purposeful absurdity..

Worst cut-scenes for a video game?
The cut-scenes for the guild-wars preview event(s).. The character's mouths didn't move, the voice acting was terrible, audio didn't sync... need I say more? Don't get me wrong, though, Guild Wars is a fantastic game, otherwise.

Wht program is the best for all dif types of sigs!?
You are not only ignorant, you're an idiot. If you hadn't called Kane an idiot I wouldn't call you one, but, since you did, I'll return the favor. There is no such thing as a "brush-based program". Photoshop is a raster graphics program. Raster graphics are bitmap graphics. That is, they are made up of small colored squares called pixels. You may be thinking you can't "pixel" in Photoshop because you know nothing whatsoever about Photoshop. You can, in fact, use brushes that aren't feathered, and create "pixel art". Now, just for your general information, so perhaps you won't embarass yourself somewhere else. An example of a vector program would be Adobe Illustrator. Vector graphics are made up of vectors; vectors are mathematically-defined lines that can be completely and fully scaled without any destruction, which is why they're used so often in commercial applications. If you'd like to learn more about Photoshop, or the difference between raster and vector graphics, check out this site.

top 5 cancelled cartoons according to me (again..)
If that counts, that is like the best cartoon ever. It was so cool. It changed to look, New Beast Wars or something, but I don't think they ever finished the original story. It was such a good story, amazing fights...Awesomeness. The new one was beast machines, and it didn't have any of the charm of the original at all. The story sort of just went to nothing to make room for more fights.. I mean, the original was pretty much just fights too, but at least they were fights to acheive some sort of goal that had something to do with the storyline, instead of "Hey, they're evidently our sworn enemies, let's battle them for 20 minutes!"

top 5 cancelled cartoons according to me (again..)
In no particular order.. Rocko's Modern Life Ren & Stimpy (Not counting Adult Party, that was AWFUL.) Mission Hill David the Gnome - best kid's show ever. Futurama - much better than the simpsons..
