  1. Can you elaborate? What are you trying to do? What exactly happens that you don't want it to do?
  2. I took swimming lessons as a child for about 4 or 5 years, I know how to swim, but I don't really do it much anymore...
  3. Lol he meant did you use a graphic tablet like you know that one thing where you have the tablet and use a pen to draw "Lol" (to use your words which were so well-chosen..) Kane was saying that he didn't use a tablet, that it may look like he had, but it was drawn in Illustrator, using a mouse.
  4. Not too bad, your form seems decent, but I think your perspective is a good bit off..
  5. Nice fake! Was the rock there, or did you edit it in? If you edited it in, impressive. :) What did you use to make it? Next time try saving it as a .gif or a .png, the JPG lowers the quality a good deal and is larger..
  6. Sledge, and especially Nadril, don't spam. nk6, use a PM next time, and certainly don't triple-post. You can personal-message somone by clicking the "PM" button at the bottom of any of that person's posts.
  7. sorry for the double-post, added a new version
  8. That's not the right perspective either, Keiphus. I think the angle of the screws is throwing you off.. Now you see why I've had such trouble conforming the text to the plane of the wood...
  9. Batteries Not Included I don't know how popular this was back in 1987, but I know of hardly anyone now that has seen it. That makes it sound more lame than it really is. Really, watch the movie. Short Circuit Again, I don't know how popular this one was, but I don't know many people who have seen it today. It's not got the best acting, but it's a great movie nonetheless. Short Circuit 2 Sequel to the above, again, not great acting, but it's still a good movie. Flight of the Navigator Yet another late 80s sci-fi movie... This one again, doesn't have the best acting, but it's still cool! Toys One of Robin Williams' most underrated films. He's the eccentric son of an eccentric toymaker who dies, and leaves his factory in control of his militaristic brother (robin williams' character's uncle). Fortress In the not-too-distant future, population laws are in effect. You can only have 1 child. A couple breaks this law, and gets nabbed trying to fool the government. They get put in a supermax prison owned and run by a large corporation. The acting .. more or less sucks .. but the concept and overall movie is fairly interesting. There's also a sequel to this one, but it's not quite as good. Those are all I can think of at the moment, except for The Goonies, which has already been mentioned.
  10. I haave... *pulls out calculator* On MirageOS: Avalanche Battleship DuckHunt (like the one on NES) FireTrack2 (like Phoenix but with insane graphics) Fast Tunnel Gold Phoenix (Phoenix with slightly improved graphics and a couple other changes) Nibbles JezzBall Mars Patrol 3D Maze (actual 3D, like, first person shooteresque) Phoenix Tetris Puzzpack that includes Dino Puzzle Pegs BlockDude Puzzle Frenzy And, MegaCar, a fun little racing game. I got most of mine online. If you have a computer link for your calculator you can download lots of games and a bunch of other fun programs from ticalc.org .
  11. Version 2 added.. Thanks for the comments! I'm still not entirely happy with the perspective on the text, but I think it's better. What do you think?
  12. http://img163.exs.cx/img163/3386/screw5kf.jpg Was bored, so I took a couple pictures of some hardware I had lying around... http://img166.exs.cx/img166/5043/screw3da.jpg New version.. New version..
  13. I would get a CRT monitor, they're better for the same ammount of money. That is, you can get a good CRT monitor for the same price as you could get a mediocre to average LCD> What's your budget? What are you going to be using this for?
  14. While that is a very cool animation, it's very old news.
  15. It's extremely anime-y...anime-y drawings are a dime-a-dozen. If you really want to draw, don't even think about Anime.
  16. Double-click the big ball that controls movement, it'll open up the render options dialogue box make sure "anti-aliasing" is checked you should have it on normal for most of the time, you can put it on superfine or even higher if you want even more quality, but it will greatly increase render times feel free to pm me or add any of my IM contacts if you have questions about the program. questions on how to use a feature of the program, mind you. I'm not going to give you tutorials on how to do abstract or something..
  17. Wait, since when can you beat games without cheating? Did they have a meeting while I was in the loo?
  18. The vibrancy is I think what makes the original so great. Without it, it's a rather [garden tool]-hum dime-a-dozen naturescape. The ripples give it a great stylized unique original cool *insert more adjectives* feel to it ..
  19. Sorry I let this sit for so long, I completely forgot about it..doh.. As for actually coding it or just designing it..either, I think. Although we'd have to agree on an app to skin. If it was something large (like an entire visual style or something) then just some concepts would be acceptable.. Matt, I don't need help with anything, I was just curious.
  20. It's almost like "Joseph's technicolor dreamcoat"..but...Joseph is a Moose, and the dreamcoat is the light bouncing off the water...and I've never actually read/seen Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat so I really have no clue what I'm talking aobut...
  21. I'm guessing it was a photomanipulation..
  22. I liked the original version more, so I shall comment on it.. I love the moose, and the treeline behind the lake, and the water. It's just got a happy stylized feel to it. The colors in the ripples make for a very nice contrast to everything else, and make the moose more of a focal point, in my opinion... I guess the only thing that I would change would maybe be to make the bushes? or small trees? a little bit less uniform. The large, bare trees have a maybe similar problem. Very cool. EDIT: I'm looking at the original again, trying to put into words why I like it so much more.. I think it's that they obviously draw your eye, but the direction of the lines and the ammount of lines just shoot your eyes up towards the moose. It's makes a fantastic movement...
  23. I remember you, Sub_Division_of_Lame I think the real reason that you're sitting out though, isn't because nobody knows you, it's because you haven't done anything in over a year and you stink now. I'm right, aren't I?! Are you gonna start posting now?
  24. I don't think he did it from scratch, I think he brushed at least the person using a photograph as a reference. Is still nice, though.
  25. Useful info only plx Thank you for that absolutely lovely bit of hypocritical spam.
