someone certainly sounds like a party-pooper... if you want to get HYT's, wear the cape... but otherwise... sure dont wear it or do whatever riff-raff... but it is a way better RS experience if you have some friends/people to talk to... and that included fellow Tip.it-er's :D :D Most Tifers can make friends without having to wear 'special' capes.

How am I "dumb/poor" for getting 99 range before this method came out? I got 99 range "the old fashioned" way and have done the 4M experience after that. I just dislike the method - spend a load of money and get nothing in return. On my way to 99 range I earned myself three party hats, purely from ranging. Before chins came out there were probably only 2000 99 rangers, if that. Now there's over 10,000. It's just become a less "respected" skill and it also annoys me how some people assume I used chins to get to 99, I spent hours on end at greaters and my "achievement" has been "downgraded" thanks to the chinning method. I don't hate chins as much, if people earned the money for it (Not by getting lucky at GWD...) or got the chins themselves then fair enough. It just seems every man and his dog has 99 range these days and 75% of those used chins to get there. Both of these quotes really exaggerate the point I was going to make. Both parties can't accept each others method and each believe theirs to be superior. Those who have chinned to 99 might think that people using an MSB or whatever have 'wasted' time whereas the other people may think chinners are wasting cash. In the end it all boils down to fact that people can't understand that other people enjoy different aspects of the game. So what if people go to GWD and get rich fast? If they enjoy it, then who should criticise? And hey, if somebody wants to camp at Fire Giants with an MSB and steel arrows, that's ok too!

Great guide, would it be possible to start smaller using the techniques you described to accumulate more wealth?

This should be useful, but as a tip fight Black Demons in the Chaos Tunnels because they drop more charms in there. ;)

It is a bit of a strange move by Jagex, this method has been around for a long time now and it seemed to have been accepted as just another training method for the rich by most people. What's next? Reducing the amount of oak planks you can use in an hour? Fair enough if Jagex made the change a few days after it was discovered and claimed a bug, but I feel sorry for anyone stuck with a lot of chinchompas now.

Right, I cancelled my subscription through my Dad's card and started paying through my mobile (which is more) and I still get penalised? That is a load of bull, why should someone that pays via credit card not be affected by price changes? It can't be a loyalty thing because I've been paying via mobile for over a year. :?

This is a great guide, and it is pleasing to see one so fully detailed after the release of the point system. I am looking forward to using this and seeing it fully completed, but I had a few questions: *Black Demons are suggested to block in this guide, you mentioned the low drop rate. Unless there has been a change I am unaware of, the ones on the Chaos Tunnels drop crimsons really frequently, something like a 40% drop rate which is pretty good. Blocking tasks is personal preference of course, so opinions differ on everything. *Guthans is also not recommended in the guide. I am 99 Defence, and often fight with over +300 melee defence but some tasks still hit quite hard so I need Guthans as a back-up for my Bunyip. I don't own an SGS so I'd be eating a lot of food otherwise, I still think it holds some value for certain tasks. Thanks for the great guide and good luck finishing it. :D :thumbup:

It took me the best part of ten minutes just logging on, I don't have the latest Java installed though so if that would make it run faster then I will definitely play on this setting more. :D

My blocked tasks will be Kalphites, Steel Dragons, Hellhounds and Scarabites.

Good guide, I might try it sometime but with Armadyl I can solo four a trip and the hilt is more expensive. Is there much competition for solo worlds?

I personally like it quite a lot, but maybe just default clothes would look good as well because the beige of the trousers doesn't match the white of the elegant, but a nice idea and well executed. :)

Heh, I am still playing mate maybe we just keep missing each other. ;) I am still slaying, currently about to finish my 30th task (3rd Duradel bonus), so not long until I hit 50 tasks done then I can do the "proper" way of slaying all the way without worrying about nasty tasks. \

I can't see much difference from what it is now, might just be me. #-o

Dragon boots, Berserker/Warrior are much better than what you've put and a Dwarven Helm/Neitiznot should be worn off task, definitely not an Ahrims hood. Attack bonuses > Defence bonuses at Waterfiends. Other than that, great guide. :)

I can type faster and type something useful so it has no use for me at all.
