Ok that sounds great! I think tracing someone will help keep me motivated, although I won't go crazy trying to win and burn myself out! :P I'm exactly like that and I also needed a little motivation. =P It seemed like a far contest to me (besides you're waaay richer.) I don't think I'm that rich, the only thing that kept up my bank value was the red mask and I don't have that anymore. I hope that my drops and clues become more expesive because I need that cash! Runecrafting will get me enough for Herblore and Crafting, maybe even all of my Prayer. Should be fun. :D

85 Slayer and 1800 Total with no 99s. :

I am level 106 combat and I give this update 80/100. I think Jagex did an awesome job by adding the high level bosses, some which have to be killed using a team. I think the graphics and gameplay of it are immense, I don't think there was a single bug or glitch. I was a bit disappointed about the dragon boots though. A new dragon item is supposed to be something big, but I feel it was overlooked by the sheer volume of the update. I think the graphics of the boots in the inventory was awful as well. :P

Working strength to 85 now. :)

I'll get 85 Defence a bit later, I have relatives around for lunch! :o I will aim for 85 Strength after I get the Defence level, so I am taking my scimitar down to my Greater task with me. Wish me luck! :D

Heh I didn't play as much as I thought I would which is good in itself. I hit 1700 total which was a good milestone for me. :)

Yeah. A very long way to go indeed... Today I was struggling to find a reason to play. It felt exactly like the time before I quit, like nothing was fun and I should just give up and hand out my stuff to people. I seriously considered quitting again but I know I would just come back. I thought about making new goals. Maybe an item goal, like a dragon fire shield, would please me. Or maybe something like 80 Construction! That was so versatile and raising the money for the different things in my house was fun. I still want 1800 Total though, really badly. As well as 85 Slayer. I don't want to be one of those people who are always giving up on their goals, but at the same time I don't and can't be the guy who sits at a screen for ten hours a day melting their eyes out on a single skill. I have come up with a clever plan to help me to keep shaking things up. Here is the plan. As I see it, their are twenty levels to go until 85 Slayer. If it were Thieving or Fletching I could be done in half a month. However, it isn't. I have decided at every slayer level to stop and raise some non-combat skills. I have worked out how exactly how many per slayer level I should get, so, in theory, when I hit 85 Slayer I will be at or beyond 1800 total. I've decided to start Slayer immediately. :o I've been anticipating it the most and I can always switch back to skilling if I get bored. I am very excited! :D

I think people who rant like this after every single update are incredibly sad. Jagex do an outstanding job with all their updates; people have to realise that not every update works for them. This is one of the first updates in a while I haven't been able to do because of the difficulty. Do I complain? No! It is something I can look forward to doing when I get more experienced. I think it is also stupid to complain if something is an update aimed for lower levels and you find it easy. Jagex can't just focus on one combat area otherwise the game wouldn't be as versatile as it is, people have to realise that.

Keep it up, or I'll set a cat on you in the middle of the night. Trust me, it isn't nice.
