  1. My primary school was different compared to others because they actually put games on the computers. There was even a computer club, where you played games :o. Most of them were dos games, Supaplex, Keen 1 & 4, and Major Stryker (My favourite :D) where the most popular. I remember getting a PS1 back when I was 6 for Christmas, and playing the original Spyro, Crash bandicoot, Gran turismo and Colin Mcrae Rally. My bought a computer shortly afterwards, and I remember playing the incredible machine on certain occasions. How fun it was making exploding mice and sucking up the little man with a hover. So many memories...

I've played it, it's still only an alpha demo (version 0.3.020 still) , and being open source the next update is only going to be released soon. Though for a free game it's got great graphics (provided there's no bugs), and when it's done I'll reckon it'll be a good game. I'd wait for the full version to come out (although that could take a while), as the devs have stated there is going to be a total wipe when it is released, and unless you don't mind the server crashing every 1/2 hour it can get a bit annoying.
  3. Based on the tone of your post, you're implying that Bounty Hunters and the Duel Arena are collectively an adequate substitute for the Wilderness. Have you ever actually gone PKing? And known what you were doing? Gotten a kill? My post did not imply that it was an adequate substitute for the wilderness. I was mere saying that the facts were a bit biased on the first page, I doubt very much that the author took the time to think of the post properly, more made facts up on the spot. Yes, I have been pking (on another to the accoun than the one I use now) and gotten a kill, and I think removing the ability to attack other people is...well...a bit too much like giving in to the traders. I was merely pointing out that Player killing doesn't necessary have to be fighting in the wilderness, and that there are many things to do in F2P other than fights in the wilderness.
  4. Rubbish! Plenty of free players skill, there's still plenty of things to do on the free version of the game. Both the duel arena and bounty hunter allow people to kill each other (which is still technically Player Killing). As for the fact that 90% of F2P did PK? I think it was more like 9%.
  5. Not a chance that the drastic bits will be removed (although tweaks will be made). As Enzo Ferrari once said: 'The customer is not always right'.
  6. Games are best played if you haven't realised. True, you don't want to spend 10 hours a day on them, but there is a balance. Also, he took the time to register on a game fan site and complain. Unless you really had quit to do other things than gaming, I doubt complaining about the game you just left would be one of them.
  7. The point of randoms was to relieve the monotony in skilling as well as screwing up macros. Yes, they can be annoying sometimes, but it makes rs different from most other games. Stuff like the genie and the exam can also be incredibly useful you know. As for pure ess, it could be scrapped but I doubt that will happen. Macros will still try to sell stuff on the GE, they could easily find ways to abuse the system.
  8. I doubt people will be willing to give away their password for some RS gold, even if the seller will give it back. I can't see this catching on.
  9. Done all of those, anything else? It's not a waste of time, it's a game which means its a way to pass spare time. If you still think gaming is a waste of time, have a look at WoW. I'm pretty sure the average WoW player spends far more time online than the average Scaper.
  10. 'Bout time too. It's not many spaces, but it'll make a massive difference for free players. Nice to see this one go through :)
  11. I'm not going to quit because of the update, I like it. I do many more things than rs (which probably explains my low levels). As for yourself? Go ahead and quit if you want. I could use the extra space.
  12. Dracion1 replied to sct_snake's topic in Rants
I agree with you. As a mate of mine said: "If you want to quit, do it, it'll give me more space to play". However you don't have to read all the rants, it probably would be best to ignore them.
  13. nice stealing my pic off irc nab but yeah wtf is it :\ That's been there a while, don't have a clue what it's for though.
  14. I'm going to be controversial and say I like the updates JaGex have made. It's their game, and they have done a good job with it, I just don't see what most of the fuss is about. The one problem is for skill based communities who have shared banks, although there ways around this. I can see JaGex creating guild banks soon, and apart from that I'm happy with the updates. A much needed update. =D>
  15. Melee is alright in f2p, you just don't hit very high. (My max hit increased by about 8+ once I had most of the equipment available to use when I got members). Zombies or Flesh Crawlers are good training, or if you want more of a challenge try Ankous. I didn't do much ranging in Free to play, so I have no idea about that one, sorry.
  16. What client are you using? You can do a channel search for barrows probably.
  17. Yes, but so long as you credit me for it :)
  18. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7123582.stm I have no idea what's going to become of this. Either there'll be a new MMORPG which (knowing lizzard) will be extremely successful or they will make 'classic CD/DVD' games. Anyway, discuss.
  19. A nice idea, in my opinion. I like it.
  20. With the GE released, I find that price guides like zybez often become out of date really fast. This means that the only way to check the realistic price of an item now is to 'buy' it at the GE, but then cancel. I was thinking, what if there was a price check section of the main Rs website? You log in, then search for the items you want to buy. It would save time, and a trip to the GE. You could limit to say 10 items a day for free players and 50 for members, or similar. Discuss.
  21. No, for a good reason. Faster bot creation. It's also very useful, and it only takes 15 minutes, so why remove it?
  22. It's not huge, but it's still good for a free player. I congratulate you =D>
  23. 3/20 on extra large images? >_> Runescape may be the 4th most popular MMORPG (according to various different soruces) but it's not taking over the world. Even if you bias the results.
  24. On an old account, I went looking for something cool to kill. Wondered into the wilderness and was owned by a lesser demon :?
  25. Did the quest. Thanks for the help.
