  1. Kill the blood snails (found near the place you fight dessous). They drop fat snail I think. They did for me.
  2. Chealdar has good assignments for ranging, and bloodvelds are one of the best range training monsters in the game. Never complain about bloodvelds. When you get assignments repeatedly, kill a couple and then drop it. Not sure why, but that seems to work. Happy slaying. :)
  3. Just train slayer, all my good drops have been from things that Chaeldar the axe-wielding fairy told me to kill. Slayer gives a greater purpose to combat training too, and the variety makes it more enjoyable.
  4. Alching is your friend. Make something alchable and alch it. Steel plates/2h, mithril/addy stuff, and maple bows or higher are best if you get your own materials. If you make your own nats, almost anything works. Happy maging.
  5. I may use these to teleport groups of people to waterbirth some time, and will use the magics (that I can) to support defence at the upcoming castlewars madness. I'd just like to know if there's an abyss rift to make them, or if you have to do it conventionally. I'm only making 500 or so.
  6. He's trying to say that you'll be better off ranging. I disagree. At your range level you'll nickel and dime him to death and he'll teleport like crazy. Melee him with the heaviest weapon you have, that means a d mace, long (for specs), battleaxe, or even some sort of maul. I almost got owned doing this quest at level 75 or so. (Enchanted lyre ftw! \ ) Still haven't bothered going back... Thanks for extending my "to do" list...
  7. There is a spot near the jail where you can melee an archer monkey from the long grass next to it. Worked for me.
  8. I had all three done at your level. Did underground pass with 27 agility, took forever  . Just get the necessary levels and you'll be fine.
  9. A Pacifism skill! lvl 1 - You can no longer wield bronze/iron weapons and normal bows. lvl 5 - You can no longer use steel. lvl 50 - You can no longer use magic bows. lvl 60 - You can no longer wield dragon items. lvl 70 - You can no longer use barrows equipment. lvl 75 - You can no longer use fire wave. lvl 85 - You can no longer slay abyssal demons. lvl 90 - You can mute annoying people. All worth it I say. (Yes, I know I can't slay abyssal demons anyway.)
  10. So you would rather have a ranarr seed than a half-key, dragon sq left half, or d spear (trolls)? It's not like any of those drop enough to affect the drop rate anyway. even with the ring of wealth. If you've got it, wear it.
  11. Get superantis if you can. The resistance to poison was great when I did it.
  12. Neither. You're better off with a whip/d scimmy and a shield. Of course, if you just love big 2-handed weapons to mangle your enemies with, get the d2h. The barrows weapons aren't all that great without the full set. Plus the axe is unbelievably slow, needs repairing, and has no special, and costs a bit more if I'm correct. Don't quote me on the prices though.
  13. Or wear this: - No helm/ Something cheap - Any disposable amulet (not magic) - Rune Plate - Rune legs/skirt - Dragon/Rune weapon - Disposable Cape - Family Crest Gauntlets - Climbing boots AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - Dfire shield Carry an ectophial, lyre, or tele if you want. Not many mages pk there so tbers are rare. Don't get skulled and you're good. Happy slaying.
  14. Male - Guthan, even though he's dead. Female - Guthan as a woman? Other - Guthan as the kbd... Or as a cat... EDIT - The "girl" outside the heroe's guild is actually a guy i think. One of the postbag from the hedge letters calls "her" a him. The one from the blue dragon i think.
  15. Try this, and this guy was one of my friends: (My Friend, Lvl 50ish guy with no armour.) - I need help with killing, and I'm an expert. Me - Killing what? Him - Chaos elemental for d2h. Me - You'd die very fast, and you only have 50 attack anyway. Him - No! I soloed the kbd 5 times! And I bet I could own zezima! (I looked him up, his prayer isn't on the high-scores...) Me - You couldn't own zezima... Him - Yeah I could, I owned the kbd and got a d med! Me - Why don't you have rune armour then? Him - I got hacked. Me - If you could beat Zezima, you could beat me. Care to duel? (I was 78 cb with 75ish mage.) Him - Ok, can I borrow a dueling ring? Me - Sure. Would you like to be meleed or maged to death? Him - Lol I own you noob! Me - Maged it is. Well, I took him to the duel arena, trounced him (I only took 5 damage, hit 15 each spell generally.), and he hasn't talked to me since, except to pull me out of a slayer assignment saying it's urgent and ask for free armour once I got there... Oh and he's claimed to have been hacked 7 times since then too... Rs should display people's IQ's to help you make friends...
  16. If it has a +1 prayer bonus it's a white knight migic staff. Don't ask me why they have them... :-k
  17. Agreed. Turoths are great for (mid-high level) herb, special, and bush seeds. Plus lvl 3 clues and white mystic robe bottoms are a perk too... Best way is to bank anywhere the tele is close to the bank, use enchanted lyres to get back. Just consider it when you're levelled up a bit. *NOTE - Don't waste your time on the big ones, they're only good for extra slayer xp during assignments.
  18. Worked for me. However if you have an excess of dueling rings, you can use them to bank at castlewars as well to further hasten the process. And the medium pouch will carry 5 extra ess (6 while taking up 1 space itself), not 3. Happy runecrafting.
  19. I like the scimmy, but I keep a battle axe for the special. Use it with attack potions and you will kill very quickly.
