  1. The reason for blocking great tasks like greaters, kalphites, and hellhounds is the crowds. Personally I'm removing steels, wyverns, irons, and black dragons... the slow ones (LOL, and every single visage dropper apparently  )
  2. Those are some really good points. One thing to keep in mind is that barrows did cost much more when it was released, which was much longer ago than both 3rd age and bandos... but still, you're absolutely right. *stocks up on barrows in preparation for imminent price rise*
  3. Inventory space is not the only thing summoning influences. Summoning makes you more powerful in combat, and as such raises your combat level. Combat has been buyable for a long time between prayer, chinning, cannoning, piety, and ice bursting. It doesn't increase you're respect, maturity, game intelligence, niceness, honesty, or any other genuine traits that you see from legitimate high levels that have determination and can actually comprehend these people/social skills Precisely. Err what are you talking about? There were tons of stupid high levels before summoning. Hell, there were tons of stupid high levels before pest control. Maxing prayer or strength doesn't increase your intelligence or maturity any more than maxing summoning does. Anyone who says summoning is a worthless skill has obviously never taken any amount of time to look into what the familiars actually do.
  4. Not when cannoning new specs.
  5. In most intelligent circles summoning is not looked down upon at all. ;)
  6. it says there's 347 people playing despite the fact all worlds have 0 people in them
  7. I think everyone except me is making a new blog haha :P good luck with 99 farming, although at this point you don't really need it...
  8. Warped terrorbirds are good xp, and rune drops pay for p pots used. Bandos spiritual rangers aren't bad as they are quite weak... only advised if you have bandos armor already though. Duradel doesn't give turoth anymore. I'm doing steels/irons for sure, maybe black dragons too as I cba soloing 70 kbds. Not sure.
  9. subSilver... the dark makes me scared :anxious:
  10. That's what I said. :P IF and only IF gold farming costs more than the membership revenues of the groups jagex screws over provide, then any attack on gold farming is economically justified, which is generally the only sort of justification a company needs to do something. And jagex has no obligation to share their plans with their players. On top of that I'm sure they believe that they ARE right. I don't see your point. (also see the post I made a few above yours). Too many other posts to quote, but... @Tallest - It's not a lack of caring. If I only liked one aspect of RS, and that aspect were removed, yeah it would suck. I'm sorry for the people who spent long boring hours maxing accounts they no longer can do anything they enjoy on. But that's not at all that this topic is about. This topic is about the removal of burnt food from the grand exchange, and whether this sets an alarming precedent for removing things that the general RS population actually buys from the grand exchange (I think it doesn't). @alphaq - he meant pick up shrimps that other people burned. #-o
  11. Trailblazed even faster than I thought I would, so moved the party accordingly. :P 99 Cooking [and maybe 1800 Total] Party Details: Where: World 33 Cooking Guild Who: Everyone who can. :P What to bring: Cooking capes if you've got'em, I wanna see the pies fly :P When: Sunday Jan 27, 6:00 pm GMT. Got up to 99 even faster than expected and don't wanna wait lol. I may be able to get my total up to 1799 in time, but I also may not haha.
  12. SNOW@@@@@@@@@@@ it's not much, but it's probably the most we've had for a year or 2 lol (last good snow was 4 years ago) and I'm out of school :)
  13. I'm getting 85 ranged today, bring me along
  14. SURPRISE! guess what pic the noob missed lol Decided to get 85 ranged at aviansie and 85 magic at barrows. Since both of those earn money, and use prayer, I figured it would go well with the theme of rounding off stats to go ahead and grab 75. Cost 3.2M, but I have a surplus atm anyways. Also got 18 summoning haha... actually not funny that means I'll get 110 combat with 88 hp (which will be shortly after 85 ranged)... sorry thiesje :( :P
  15. so how does the wakkinator feel about the new skill several orders of magnitude slower than runecrafting, and more expensive than construction? :P
  16. That has nothing to do with this update
  17. the general store sell them
  18. Lol that is the general point. But what did f2p lose? :-k
  19. Got 107 combat with the defense level. Then proceeded to do the new quest and train the new skill. The reward charms got me to 16 summoning, which gave me 109 combat (woot I can 1 click healers next time I go in the caves). My opinion on summoning: It's a pretty cool skill - I'm not sure about how practical it is, or how convenient the bonuses it offers are to use yet, but that'll be discovered in time. That's the other thing. Time. This skill is not only more expensive than construction, it is slower than slayer. By a lot. You need tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of charms to get 99. And you have to get them all yourself. The best monster in the game currently drops 1/kill. And it's not a chicken. Hopefully Jagex will make the skill easier some time in the future. Until then I won't be straying too close to it again. What are my plans now? I want 85 range/mage, 88 hitpoints, NOT 78 slayer (cba with getting it to 80 to make it look pretty, not that anything would make my stats page look pretty now). After that I'll start looking into some skilling, and hopefully summoning if Jagex makes it possible to train.
  20. I think it's legal. Man + Man = Wrong. Sorry, that's just the way it is. Notice how men and women "fit" together and men and other men dont? Men were not made to, and should not have sex with other men. It isn't right. Now don't get me wrong, I don't have any problem with gays. Just as long as they don't have sex with/make out with other guys. And I wouldn't take blood from a man who had sex with another guy. Even if it would save my life. Well that's slightly bigoted. EDIT: @ the post above me - I don't see anyplace where Captain says that's his own thoughts - he's just explaining other peoples'.
  21. Why not? Just ask the guy/girl if she's a homo or not. If they're really proud about being gay, which apparently they should be if it wasn't a choice and they want equal treatment, then they can just mark it as 'Gay' blood and store it elsewhere. And bob, can you go read the FDA's report? You're acting like a completely uneducated fool when you refuse to read the evidence that was already provided. (Check page 2? trytos, I think) In regard to my first point, I apologize for posting without sufficient prior knowledge. However, it happens that my second comment was sarcastic - of course you can, and I think it's absurd not to. HIV is the virus that causes AIDS (a syndrome).
  22. Before you start throwing statistics around I'd like to know exactly how much more likely gay people are to have HIV/AIDS. Further to that, it's not like you can store blood from gay people separately and use it only in times of shortage
  23. what the update means is that hackers can't waste all your appeals for 3 days and account recovery is faster
