I managed to fix my sound problem and my freezing problem by getting a new sound card lol. Celebrated by tribriding. Both EBG and Shadowking died from being overconservative with prayer on prime lol. Both came back. EBG missed a seers, and Shad misssed an axe. edit: shadowking pointed out that he died because ebg accidentally lured prime onto him. oops lol.

@Grade - It takes 75k each day, and gives you items in return. I get about 225k each day. I'm braving the computer freezing to get 99 hitpoints today, it'll be World 99, my house, 6:00 pm GMT. Bring a ring of dueling if you're coming.

That certainly doesn't mean we should make getting guns any easier, as the bush administration has done. I think we should do everything in our power to make guns difficult to acquire. No matter how many times you cite how essential it is to have a gun for self defense, they really don't help you much. If you get mugged on the street and a guy is holding a knife to your throat/pointing a gun at your head, it certainly isn't in your own best interest to pull out a gun of your own. If a man breaks into your house and you notice him before he notices you, and you shoot at him, the fact is he's going to shoot back. You're no safer than you would be if neither of you had guns. You're hardly safer than you would be if only he had a gun because he is going to do the same thing, no matter what your armament status is. Sure it would be a long shot to get every single gun out there, but I think making them hard to get is a decidedly smarter decision than making them absurdly easy to get. :roll:

Not going to make a quote wall, but to address you points in general: I'm sure that guns do save lives. However, I highly doubt that this compensates for the number of lives that they claim - as I pointed out, people eager to defend their homes aren't the only people who use them. Grand Theft Auto is a video game, while target practice generally is done with real firearms. I've had no problem with a target practice video game, although it would kind of suck lol. And I'd just like to point out that South Park is not always an accurate representation of the world at large. :P The only way a dictator can come to power is by winning the people of his country over to his side - not by waging war against them, which is the only thing guns would help us to do. If the people aren't behind the dictator, they aren't obeying him. And if they aren't obeying him, he's not in charge of the country - he's just a person who says he is. So I don't see how guns would help at all... not to mention that this whole scenario is wildly unlikely.

Thanks Zel :) @Dwarven - Sorry, but I can't. I've tried every damn thing in the book, including putting my old video card back in lol, and RS still crashes 1 or 2 times every hour. Soo I can't monster hunt at all, and everything else is a pain, basically. It's incredibly annoying, so I'm going to stop playing RS until I manage to fix it. It may be in a few days or it may never happen, but obviously I'll try very hard. Kinda sucks that I'm like 70k from 99 hitpoints lol, but at least I'll have a nice coming back present. I don't see any reason why it's necessary for a civilian to own a gun. And there are a lot of reasons they shouldn't. Self defense, target shooting, hunting, collecting, investing, and the preventing the overthrow of democracy were mentioned. In regard to self defense - I've never once in my life felt threatened enough to need a gun, and I certainly don't live in the best part of my city. For one thing you'd have to carry it around all the time in order to have it on hand when you need it - something that very few people do. Keeping it at home isn't going to help you when you wake up and there's a thief pointing a... gun... at you. I see no reason why target shooting would be necessary in a country where civilians cannot own guns. I consider my right to not get shot to be more important than your right to shoot squirrels. I'm sure there are plenty items one could collect/invest in that are not deadly weapons. And as for stopping a dictator from taking over America... you forget that all presidents must be elected. The same is true of senators. Military headhonchos must slowly climb the ranks, where anyone who shows interest in overthrowing America's government would in all likelihood be weeded out. Even if one crazy person managed to become commander-in-chief and ordered the burning of the constitution... do you think anyone would obey? Of course not.

Thanks, I'll go with you guys sometime. But this stupid RS freezing thing is keeping me from monster hunting, even from playing at all. Got 92 ranged awhile ago from slayer, but missed it because rs froze. Went on a mass bandos trip with some friends, and managed to get 2 drops, despite RS freezing twice. First pic was boots lol. I just can't play with this, I'll be pretty much off RS until I can get this problem fixed. Been trying out my pony with slayer for the last few days, it's pretty good. :P Although I've decided fruit bat is probably better for wyverns lol. Went 75-76 prayer by burying bones on task. As you can see I'm finally playing in HD, compliments of my new graphics card. Unfortunately the card has a few negative side-affects: my computer has no sound whatsoever (I'm working on this atm, should be able to fix it), and every hour or so runescape just freezes, and I have to x out of whatever browser I'm in (I've tried firefox, swiftkit, and the official runescape client... seems this bug isnt specific to browsers). This is bad when monster hunting, so I can't do that anymore until I get it fixed. It gets hella annoying when I train slayer. It would suck really badly to have to go back to my old graphics card. :| I don't know what I'll do.
