    This is getting disgusting.

Apparently it isn't just Dell's laptops the Sony batteries were used in, so we could expect more recalls. I'm surprised they only just did this now, after there have been reports and videos of them bursting in to flames for several months.
  3. It's hard at first but it is part of life. Most importantly it's not the end of the world.
  4. Because he wants to build strength... To do that you should use low reps at high weight. High reps at low weight tones the muscle, removes fat around it.
  5. There are a multitude of reasons which I end up recanting every time I post a picture of my room: - I am not doing graphic design; I'm doing Internet Computing which does involve using lots of programs at once but it is just generally helpful to be able to have an IDE on one screen and a reference website on the other. - I like to have lots of desktop space. I have FF on one window, trillian, winamp, my system monitor and process explorer on the other. - As you may have noticed there is a second machine sitting behind the desk, it runs SUSE 10. The monitors I have are dual-input, with a button on the front to switch between the two inputs. I have got both the outputs from my main machine and the SUSE machine connected to it so I can switch at will. I also use a KVM switch for the keyboard but I like to be able to have the SUSE desktop showing whilst having control of the main machine so I run the output directly to the monitor. - Finally, why not. It's just handy. Everyone I know who has tried two screens for a while has come to wonder how they ever managed with one. At a time several years ago I used to use 3, but when I got bigger monitors which could do decent resolutions that was no longer necessary.
  6. As far as I know, no, you can't. You will have to check with the manufacturer though, or in the manual. At least in all the laptops I have had experience with the video output is a mirror of the LCD screen for the purposes of presentations or just if you find a large screen more comfortable. If you want another monitor for it though you could go the other route that I mentioned, attaching a second machine to the second monitor and running that program whose name I still don't know on it.
  7. There are no magic pills that will make you big. I'd say that a decent diet would be just as good as taking protein supplements - you could have a few more eggs than normal perhaps. The main thing is just working damn hard. I'm hardly a bodybuilder though, I just like to keep fit.
  8. Run Spybot S&D - it looks like you could have some dodgy things there.
  9. First - does your laptop support output for two monitors. As far as I know, almost no laptops do. They have an output for a monitor, sure, but this will only show what is on the laptop screen - it is used for connecting to a projector or other device for presentations normally.
  10. It depends how you are doing it. If you wanted to have two screens both using your laptop as an output then you'd need to have a GPU capable of this - as far as I know almost no laptops are. The output on a laptop will show what is on the laptop screen. However, if you were wanting to use the laptop screen as an extra one, this can be done with some program which allows you to do exactly that over a network. I don't remember the name of it though.
  11. Another thought is that mine is for a university, so it may have a more complex structure. I think that they have 10 credits per module because some modules elsewhere in the uni might be 5 credits, or 2 or something. Or to allow for expansion like one did in BASIC with the line numbering.
  12. My room at uni last year was absolutely tiny - barely enough for me to live in, let alone entertain guests in. This picture has a strange effect, the keyboard, monitors and case all look normal sized together - this is because they are all really large. The case is a stacker, the monitors are 21" each and the keyboard is a massive one from the 1980's.
  13. You need to show a full list of processes, that doesn't show all of them. FYI: Lag is not an acronym, it doesn't need to be capitalised.
  14. Worry not readers, I have contacted AQA, OCR and WJEC to try and get him tested for performance enhancing drugs.
  15. If you had any comprehension skills whatsoever, you'd have gathered from my first post that I got my AS results several years ago. I don't actually remember what I got at AS, but I got ABB at A level. Not exceptional, but enough to see me on my way through university and enough to be pleased about.
  16. Oh well, life goes on. I hear tell that Pete_the_Viscous got 4 A's and 1 B in his A-levels today. Doing 5 A levels was biting off a lot, but it seems he had the mastication capacity to deal with it.
  17. Your second suggestion would be much better, Cruiser. The first one would make it so admins have to chase up users who either aren't particularly active, don't read their PMs or are just bad people.
  18. Perhaps he had a momentary lapse of reason?
  19. Tried reinstalling?
  20. I don't think that the burden of remembering signature info should fall upon the user, not the admins. They have enough work to do and making backups of everyone's signature would just double it. On the other hand, instead of removing an image from the signature they could just remove the IMG tags from around it, thus preserving the link.
  21. When I got mine all those years ago, I remember some of my friends had received a letter the day before from their first choice uni saying they'd been accepted. Needless to say their results day was less stressful than most.
  22. I hadn't even read all the first post ;) However, this just reinforces that anyone else reading this thread should get process explorer because it is just generally great. As for the WGA crack, we don't talk about that sort of thing here for fear of getting our bottoms smacked. I don't have it on my machine because I haven't installed SP2.
  23. By giving out jail sentences to those who get caught. That would act as a strong general deterrent. It doesn't mean to say that is fair though. Damn, nothing gets past you. Perhaps he said it in jest?
  24. License services generally do, including the WGA crap. I've not read the rest of the thread but: Get Process Explorer from http://www.sysinternals.com (under process tools) and have a look to see which process is using the CPU so much.
  25. A "respected man and a legend"... ...Who went on 'celebrity' big brother? i.e. Big brother for washouts?
