  1. Obviously they can't destroy a piece of software that is held on millions of computers worldwide, I'm not sure how their network is maintained but that's what they'll try to shut down - making it so you can't connect to anyone.
  2. It 'accured' to me, but in the majority of cases (and for a strong atheist I have heard a surprising amount of christian music) this obviously isn't the case. Either that or it is still preparing them several years down the line.
  3. Read the topic before replying. I already said that they are neither interested in doing that nor capable of doing it.
  4. ...You're trying to accuse me of implicitly saying all music with a foundation is good...by my asserting that the opposite is not true? How does that work? It is possible for neither to be the case you know. It is not true that all music with a foundation is bad. It is not true that all music with a foundation is good. There is no conflict between these two statements. Try taking logic & common sense 101.
  5. All you seem to be focused on is accusing me of saying things which I never did. I also never said that if music has a foundation it is bad. Why are you trying to put words in my mouth again? Because you still don't seem to be able to get your head around it. I didn't say "if the music is bad", I said "if they are not musically talented". "If the music is bad" is all-encompassing, the musical talent, the background and the composition. "Not musically talented" only covers the musical talent surprisingly, not the lyrics and depending on how you think of it, not the composition. I also didn't bother saying this, it is you that added this part. Why would you ever need to clarify that?
  6. Yes - Magnification
  7. My god, are you even incapable of following a simple line of discussion? My first post: "The reason why most christian music is bad is because I think they set out as christian first, music second." Your reply: "Why would that be bad? Is it so absurd to have a foundation?" My second post: "it is to do with them not being musically talented" The christian bands that are bad are bad because they are not musically talented, yet try to make christian music. You must be incredibly thick to not understand that I was replying to your post. It astonishes me that you purport to be 18+ and yet lack the comprehension and discussion-following skills of a 12 year old (and yet you call me ignorant?). All my text that you have quoted just backs up what I am saying. I have even said that not all christian bands are bad, and that MxPx and FIF are good.
  8. Yes, why wouldn't I? Anyway, what the hell has a monkey got to do with any of this? Yep, you do. But I didn't say that. If you read my post you'll see I said most; not all. Damn right, what about things like Jupiter by Holst, or indeed The Great Gig in the Sky as How2PK mentioned. READ MY BLOODY POST, I NEVER SAID THAT. MxPx is good, as are Five Iron Frenzy. Idiot. Fathobbit is also an idiot for posting all that trollish stuff about christianity. This is a topic about christian music; if you don't want to talk about that then don't post.

Using sound effects to bolster your library should be considered cheating! Average track length here is 4:41, a pretty big difference when you consider that that means I should have 20,000 minutes more than you.
  10. The quality depends on what dot size you use. I created a 3'6" square image which I'll post in a little while using 5mm dot size, it looks decent. Generally the things scale up and don't look pixellated. Edit: here it is, poor quality camera phone image though.
  11. It's got nothing to do with having a foundation, it is to do with them not being musically talented.
  12. Yes, if you look in the program it asks if you want to put cutout lines around the printed part. Just cut the printed part out and stick that on the wall. It is just by chance that I only posted pictures of those with the borders still on.
  13. Err, MxPx started out as a christian band. The reason why most christian music is bad is because I think they set out as christian first, music second.

    That isn't juice, smeghead - it's squash/cordial.

Update: "Apple Battery Recall Official" Looks like I was right about it not just being Dells that got recalled.
  16. Also I think a high powered rifle will cost a fair bit more than $1,200. As for dealing with neighbours - those people saying 'fight back' and those saying 'ask them to stop' are wrong - people like that cannot be reasoned with. If you fight back they will just get worse, but their retaliation knows no bounds. If you ask them to stop they won't care. The only way to deal with it is to involve the authorities.

If they were identical twins and twins A & A broke up, perhaps B would sometimes let A take his place :-$

20,875 songs / 115GB / 1632 hours / 2 and a bit months / 68 days The difference between Oy's library and mine is that I have lots of prog rock tracks, 10 minutes and longer - hence the longer total time and larger total filesize. That, and a large proportion are over 240kbps, along with plenty of lossless files.
  19. McDonalds? I think you mean either the dole or prison.
  20. http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/ ^ That's the online version, if you follow the link there you can also get a downloadable version with no filesize/resolution limits (freeware). What this is is a program which will take any image you give it then convert it into a PDF with loads of pages, each of which is then printed out on A4 paper and stuck on your wall to recreate a massive version of the original image. You can opt to cut the paper so only the printed parts are showing (hardly any printers can print up to the edge of the paper) or you can just have an interesting divided image which actually looks pretty good. With this program you can make images up to 20m in size to stick on your wall using an ordinary printer, however I'd suggest you go somewhere like a library to print it out because the amount of ink used will be insane. When I get back to uni I'm going to be using the laser printers there at 5p per page - ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã1.50 for a 4-foot square poster? Not bad. Some examples from the site's gallery:

  22. I haven't read any articles on this particular case, but if it's anything like the Grokster one that's what they're trying to do. Check it out on wikipedia for more info.
  23. Big words :?: :?
  24. Some 13 year olds can work with computers, sure. But how can you be a car person when you aren't allowed to drive? There's no age limit on using a computer (unfortunately).
  25. Interesting how the topic author (badly) edited his post to make it look how he wasn't contradicting himself when he'd previously posted about how bad the device was but he still wanted it.
