  1. I love the English one but I don't see why they bothered making the american one, it seems to have such similar storylines. I don't particularly like the american one anyway, it seems too 'obvious'; not subtle enough by far.
  2. It is possible to recover data from a hard drive that is broken IN A CERTAIN WAY by putting it in the freezer for an hour. And it should only be done as a last resort. It does NOT fix the hard drive. It simply makes it temporarily usable (approx 10 mins), during which time you can recover essential data. Read: http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php? ... ht=freezer
  3. In that case I'm changing my mind.

It's interesting how 1/12th of the world's population that happens to have been born around the same time are all intensely physical people who need to balance it out with a more cerebral attitude.
  5. Dude my car is not where I left it but praise Allah we are not hurt.

No, they have been ambiguous enough to allow you to fit them to what happened.
  7. Here are some things that should help: - Use the words 'phat', 'sick' and 'rad' a lot - Wear your trousers so that half of your boxer-shorts-clad arse is sticking out the top - Remember - the more obscure bands you like, the cooler you are
  8. The Benchwarmers. Total. Waste. Of. My. Time. I could make a better film - and I've never made a film, and I probably wouldn't put much effort in. Actually forget that, my duodenum could make a better film. Eurotrip comes a close second. National Treasure a close third.

Horoscopes are an absolute load of tosh. The word is not accurate, it is ambiguous. If horoscopes were to be believed then half a billion people (assuming a world population of 6 billion with an even birthday distribution) would be having the same sort of day as each other.

Can you tell the difference between a man from France and a man from Belgium based on looks alone? How about Switzerland and Austria? Could you tell a Kenyan from a Nigerian?
  11. No, actually it isn't.
  12. I'll bet that's as legitimate as buying land on the moon.
  13. It looks like you chose well, especially with regards to getting a socket AM2 CPU. I personally would have gone for 2x 250GB as they're better value at the moment but it's all extra money which you may not have wanted to spend. As you said, the graphics card is an easy upgrade if you wanted another later.

Another point is that if your two discs WERE exactly the same and you were going to set up RAID 0 you'd have to move all your data anyway - you would have to populate the discs from scratch otherwise they wouldn't be striped.
  15. Muting it in there seems to only mute its output through the speakers, it doesn't affect it in VOIP etc. For example, my mic is muted in volume control but I can still use ventrilo with it. Try it.
  16. Mute the microphone in volume control.
  17. For me it isn't about intelligence; it's about courtesy. If you can't be bothered to make your post easy to read then I can't be bothered to read it. Making a post with terrible grammar is expecting your readers to do the work of making it readable so you don't have to - why should they?
  18. Anesthesia replied to SLR's topic in Tech and Computers
You don't need RAID. RAID would not help you. You would run into problems if you were trying to use striping and the two discs weren't the same as each other. There's a way of changing the user folder to another drive, but I can't remember how. If you can find the environment variables settings in windows then it should be there.
  19. Not even that, murdering someone is intentional! This ray didn't mean to harm anyone it was just a reflex.
  20. That's like saying "my father died in a car crash, I will get my revenge by blowing up cars". It is anything but productive.

The point is that all theists believe their god made up those rules, therefore only their rules are the right ones to follow and are totally 100% credible.
  22. That reminds me of the original Unreal Tournament - M-M-M-M-MONSTER KILL!
  23. The two that stand out in my mind are fighting the Cyberdemon in Doom and the Paris nightclub level on Deus Ex. Actually sod it, all parts of Deus Ex.
  24. For money & publicity. It's possible to go for well over a month without food, look at the example of the 1981 Irish hunger strike, particularly Kieran Doherty who went 73 days without food - without any preparation I might add.
  25. No, you said it yourself - a college IP. Chances are they have their own node, so will be detected perfectly as their traffic isn't being routed through an ISP's central link.
