I am at uni now for the social thing, simply because my degree isn't teaching me enough about the things I want to learn about. So I'm going to do a masters straight afterwards. It seems like this degree is more of just a foundation to continue learning in your chosen area.

No one's alone at university. If you're sociable and want to go out all the time then there are plenty like you, if you're quiet and want to stay in and socialise there are plenty like you, if you don't want any friends and just want a darkened room all to yourself there are plenty like you. I was in a different situation when I first went though, my long term girlfriend was going to the same place. This helped because I got to make friends with her friends and vice versa.

Show me proof because in my research, the Earth is the only habitable place in the universe. I think you'll find that given the overwhelming (if not infinite) size of the universe the burden of proof is in fact upon you.

Seeing as how every university's course structure for any given degree is different, how do a million other people have the same one? Your post does sound like it was made by someone bitter about not having a degree...

From my experience on a computer related degree: Don't expect a degree to teach you everything there is to know about your subject. Expect to skim the surface of a dozen topics but to not go deep into any one. You are expected to do that on your own if you are interested enough.

I've had this game a fair while now, found it on another forum and have completed around half of it. It's a truly excellent game, the sort I'd even be willing to pay money for - yet it is available free and you don't need a fancy system to play it. If only there was more innovation like this.

10 years and they are barely halfway through their sentence? For killing cats? I find that hard to believe, considering the average time served for MURDER OF ANOTHER HUMAN is 12 years in the UK. I state that statistic because you say you are Irish, I don't know how it is in America if you mean you are just of Irish origin.

Maybe it was your toaster. One thing I think is pointless are the small packs of Warburton's toastie bread - the slices are no thicker than normal... I like to have smoked salmon pate on Warburton's super toastie. A pack of bread containing something like 10 slices it's so thick.

Some peoples' parents have more money than sense. Either that or they're trying to buy love :D
