  1. Do you admit you didn't have the common sense to not do it in the first place?
  2. dragonst0rm, how thick do you have to be to quote all the pics again AFTER someone else has had their post edited by a mod for it and been berated by 2 other users.
  3. FYI: Reinstalling windows != formatting. You can reinstall windows and not lose all your data. However, you do have to reinstall most programs.
  4. Pff they're ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã40-50 here...
  5. Not difficult when they already look like jokes in comparison to the vast majority of games.
  6. Why did yhou quote ALL the pictures mixand... What a stupid thing to do.
  7. I don't need a Wii, I have just been for one.
  8. It certainly is. It's the first MMORPG that 'normal' people have really taken to. You can go to a party with normal (and by normal I mean not just computery) people and chances are one of them will have played it.
  9. For the amount of entertainment you get it is worth it. You will get much more than a normal single player game.
  10. Are you kidding? The PC is filled with games made for PS2. What about: All the recent NFS games Almost all recent Star Wars games Splinter Cell series All Tony Hawk's games Any film game They are all major games, the sort that some would consider a reason to buy a PS2 should they have only been available for it. In fact in 2005 there were so few decent PC games, most were PS2 ports (here I call a PS2 port something that was designed down to the PS2 specs then a version compiled for PC). You may say that these weren't 'ports' because they weren't on PS2 first then brought to PC, they are still one game that was made for both. The point of this post is that they weren't unique to the PS2.
  11. Indeed there will, with Windows Vista which is expected in 2007. That will have been THREE YEARS it was exclusively on the Xbox. Flagship titles on the PS2 (citing the example of the GTA series) have seen PC releases a year or less after their debut on the console. So basically his argument that all Xbox games are available on the PC is wrong.
  12. You are a fool. What game's logo do you have as your avatar? What game is only available on the Xbox and is one of the system's flagship titles? QED
  13. It isn't immersive though. It is breaking the game down systematically so you can beat it by exploiting strategies you have worked out by knowing the mechanics. It just makes the game so clinical and mathematical that it isn't immersive at all.
  14. It's good fun from 1-60, but after then it gets boring thanks to how serious people get, and how you can't do anything worthwhile without a large group.
  15. Then they have decades to have their innocence proven and get monetary compensation when it is. Hahaha! Methinks you might mean Escargots...
  16. How the hell can you compare with something that doesn't exist yet?
  17. I don't believe in medicine or hospitals, they suck.
  18. Actually the United States does control/own the internet since it originated here in 1983 at a University (forget the name of it). http://usinfo.state.gov/eur/Archive/200 ... 5-499.html Do you know what the internet is? Evidently not. That link is a US source and is therefore unreliable, the US just thinks it should control the internet because, well let's face it, they want to control everything. They don't control/own it because the internet is not one thing. It is millions of machines all over the world which aren't owned by the US and aren't in their jurisdiction. The concept may have originated there but to say that that is a good reason for them to control it is like saying that Guglielmo Marconi invented the radio therefore Italy should control the world's radio transmissions. Your point is further flawed because if inventing the first packet switched network gave the US the right to control the internet, Sir Tim Berners Lee would have complete control over the WWW, which is what this thread is about.
  19. It is indeed excellent using dual monitors - especially when your desktop is almost 1m wide :P It's very useful for any serious editing program - Photoshop, Visual Studio, 3DSM etc. as you can have your work on one screen and the toolboxes on the other.
  20. This isn't bumping an old topic, it is adding to it because creating a new one would be stupider. Here's my room: ... Tiny room, student accomodation - I was the unlucky one out of the four. Bigger room next year.

That machine has integrated graphics so no, you couldn't play the game.
  22. For reference, in the UK it costs approx ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã500/week to keep someone in prison.
  23. So waiting several years on death row, unsure of when you're going to die and having no control over your own future is a walk in the park? You know that would count as cruel and unusual punishment in most places, it is a form of torture to give people such uncertainty over their fate. However, that's not the reason I object to it. I object to how it works now because of the chance for error. I think that the death penalty should only be administered when there is DNA evidence against the defendant and no question over his guilt whatsoever. Only in a situation where it can be guaranteed that a mistake has not been made, and such a situation may never exist.
  24. Are you discriminating against those who discriminate against racists?
  25. ...So of course it is beyond scrutiny.
