To avoid getting lost, think a little bit. Room numbers are usally located with groupings. Such as Room 100 would in the same area as 108. Letters grouping also apply (J232 is near J254), and etc. But overall don't worry. I remember my summer before Freshmen year: nervous as hell. :P After some time you and your friends will sort things out on where and when to meet. Oh, and also don't expect to hang out with all of your friends at once. They usally get different lunches/schelules/areas. I would like the idea, but it would be quite difficult to program due to the vast number of different weapons... Even if they did it, I would rather the 'upgrade items', like enchanted gems and such, to be quite rare-ish. Not as rare as a santa, but not as rare as whips. Drops from many monsters could give you this item and random chest across RuneScape could hold them too (not as vauleable, but good for beginners).

People don't see the same fun. What might be stupid to you, might be fun to another and vice versa.

I've only seen two JMods: Mod George in Catherby and Mod Ash-somethin' in the SS Riot. I've seen various PMods, Got a few PMod friends as well. :) But I've never seen one abusing PMod.

It's a good skill, a bit boring to train, but a good skill noneoftheless. Only major problem is the cost for me, since I'm not a wealthy man. If I ever have a few mills to spend, I'll level Construction. :)

If we give them a hard time, the Gold Farmer bosses will give up and switch to another MMORPG. Is it attention that I get when I level mining from 85 to 86 and then tell no-one about it? You're still doing it unconciencly(SP) though. Not a whole lot of people have 86 mining, and even if you didn't plan it, people looking up highscores or look at 85+ Miners, they'll see you. Attention is just letting other peole know about you, which no matter what you do, you will. But this makes me rethink of the title "attention-seeker" to "attention-gathering". Getting attention doesn't HAVE to be planned, we're getting attention right now in this discussion. I know I'm not doing this for attention, and neither are you, we're just trying to prove our points. But we'lre still getting attention to ourselves. Not for everyone. Reaching a goal in a skill could be a means of earning money. After all, Yew chopping autoers didn't reach their levels to get "attention" As I said in an example in my post, it isn't always directly for attention. Well, your overall message appears to be something like "people level for attention" I think that many players feel that leveling is just what needs to be done to reach your goals. Um...goals ARE leveling, since you obivious need to raise levels to reach a goal. Regardless, you're still getting attention to yourself at reaching a goal. You might get this goal for attention or because it's fun. Even if you do it for fun, either a small part of you is doing it for attention as well, or peple will notice you and your new skill (such as a Blog) which brings attention to yourself. Perhaps to allow faster training. I'm sure that we both know that RS has a lot of skill grinding to do and buying certain raw materials can vastly speed up training. And again, why would you want to train skill? To get an 99? Goals? More money? I agree people play the game for fun, but don't you feel perhaps a small portion on yourself to get some attention? Yes? Then you agree with me. No? Then you're going to get attention even if you didn't plan it or want it. If you try to improve the game, people would reconize you. If you get levels for fun, then people will reconize you. It's not so much as 'attention-seeking' as I foolishly said before, but more of 'attention-gathering'. Even if you don't want attention, you're still going to get it. Paw said it pretty simply and nicely too, read his post too. :) And as Reb Drag the Science Guy said, people need attention. Soicalizing is getting attention to yourself, and we know humans can't live and normal life without socializing. But overall, people who say they don't want attention, you're pretty much trying to be an 'outcast', and thus giving you the attention you somehow didn't want.
