Piracy isn't theft. Theft is taking the original copy without consent. Piracy is taking a copy of the original and leaving the original still intact. Physically taking a CD from a store without paying for it is theft because you're removing an actual item from the store, so nobody gets it. That is a bad analogy and doesn't really fit.

I don't really think piracy is as big a deal as the industry makes it out to be. I pirate music, but it's not like I was going to pay for the album anyway.
