  1. The problem isn't about the spells being good enough against people in wilderness, but against top-end creatures like GWD bosses. Magic can not deliver high amounts of damage in a short amount of time.
  2. A 99 is NOT a 99. People rate achievement capes for how hard to get or rare they are, as well as what they look like and their emotes are. And if you think about it, both these skills need a little bit money to start with, have very high experience rates and you can make some money training them. On top of all that, they are two of the least rare skill capes in runescape. So they are easy to get, common, and even look quite bad compared to all other skill capes. As for the primary reason- the flood of 99s in those skills started at the point jagex released achievement capes- every newbie takes the easy way out and gets two of the easiest skills to max, just to get the rubbish cape. Now the question should be, Why should we respect people that have taken the easiest route to their goal?
  3. Actually, for this rare things as sgs and ags, supply and demand doesn't fully cover the subject. The top end godsword market is heavily loaded with merchants trying to make huge profits by buying low from the ''hunters'' and selling high to well heeled players who wish to show-off. As a result of this, the prices have fluctuated a lot ever since they were brought to this game, there are quite a few selling threads on the forums, but quite a few of them have been fakes, just trying to raise/lower the prices. Unless this mad merchanting stops, it'll be very hard for us to determine the real price.
  4. Congrats on the level. Took quite long but you made it.
  5. Nice to see them back, too bad we can't use them. Minimum i got was 35 kB, so they should try to trim them down a little bit :).
  6. Maybe he bought stuff to max out rooms, perhaps? OT: awesome achievement, gl with others =D> Buying stuff into your house isn't really considered as training construction, as you don't do it for the experience. Kind of same as saying: I used up 550m to train 99 cooking, 560m on a blue party hat to look good and gained 10m from the sales of fish.
  7. Nice level, not that hard though if you've got the money. How did you spend 130m on it? sounds a lot like an overkill.(i used 80m from 80 to 99)
  8. Time = money. Barb fishing is about 50k xp h, monks 33k xp h, barb fishing gains fishing+agility+strength+cooking xp, monks gain fishing xp, the time you save fishing there you'll have ~100h to rc and make up the cash difference. Gonga_Jew (rank 27 overall) and Zero_Max (rank 19 overall) are two skillers I saw racing to 99 with the Shilo Fishing Method. With my time fishing here, I've also seen the #2 fisher here (Drummer's Mom). :-k gonga jew was already 98.99 fishing when barbarian fishing was introduced. Barbarian fishing is not well-known, but it is well-known to be the fastest fishing method in the game. Also, if you are going to talk about recognition of new updates, why not talk about super restore pots? they were considered largely useless when jagex brought them to the game with briwhaven agility arena, they were brought to masses with the introduction of farming skill, but for more than a year they still sold for LESS than a prayer pot. Why? same reason some top fishers still fish in shilo. Same thing with herb seeds- i got all my snapdragon and ranarr seeds for less than 10k each- people hated farming, but now what? even the richest people in runescape go around to their seasonal herb harvesting trips.
  9. Time = money. Barb fishing is about 50k xp h, monks 33k xp h, barb fishing gains fishing+agility+strength+cooking xp, monks gain fishing xp, the time you save fishing there you'll have ~100h to rc and make up the cash difference.
  10. really stupid assumption. firstly you could buy feathers much faster from people than you can from shops now(50k gap per buy), and secondly fly fishing in shilo is far from being the best fishing method in runescape(theres a place where you need little to nothing bait and gain a lot more experiance).
  11. 5/10 people say they are the easiest 99s, because they ARE the easiest 99s. also combat level has very little to do with skilling stats.
  12. Username: 0xpx0 Country: Estonia 8-)
  13. Why are you giving him a 4? Cause its not 99? Imo, 99 Farming would be more like 26/10. Where 85 is 8/10. Im 49 farming, and im one of the few people who like it. Yes, its that hard! So stop being a little kiddy and give this dude the respect he has earned. Geez. I rate other people the way i want to, not the way other people would agree with me. There is no set pointers for rating someones achievement. For your little narrow-minded knowledge, i am 99 farming, and have been for many years, so i don't really see 85 farming as that big of an achievement. Why are you telling me it's hard? Your post must be the singe-most stupid posts i have ever read. Why don't you go to Bill Gates and say money-making is really hard? or teach Ronaldo how to play football?
  14. Kind of.... A forth of the total xp done, keep going. 4/10 for now.
  15. As you wrote, it's 104 essence per super energy, but the first time you calculated 52 essence per energy, so it makes about 503m. Otherwise, pointless topic really, you could make a lot more money these days with various methods in less time(and less monotonous). Also, why post FFL? it's useless now.
  16. If you are focused at making speculative economy reports like these, please, do get the facts straight before writing anything. For your knowledge, onyx stone with karamja gloves costs 260,000 tokkul, chaos rune sells for in the shop for 9 tokkul ea. 260,000/9 is 28,888, not 26,000. so for calculations: 28,888*140=4,044,444 gp. Fury prices to fall? probably not. Otherwise, nice report, most of should be true, but all we can do is wait and see.
  17. i don't really understand why people get so exited about vials. infinite stock for unstackable items is largely the same as it was before the update, so the update update only benefits poor players or people who want to make money without skills- wf vial prices will only drop about 100 gp. Time is money. The buying stackables is ok, but the effects this might have may be catastrophic.
  18. Took you quite some time but you finally did it, very nice achievement. Stats 8/10, always can be better.
  19. 4/10. Very poor stats apart from combat, also, 94 hp? i think we all know what that means.
  20. not true. but the problem would be, runescape could not exsist in 4 years time lol. anyway, good luck on your goal, sounds nice.
  21. Well, as for the Addy Gloves: I was the only character with all quest requirements done for that quest, and got them on the first day of release, I posted on MM with a pic and they said it was "fake" and "impossible to get addy gloves at 20 def". First pure ever; I only state Bettr Than U because that was the only pure to my knowledge when I was playing RS, I am most likely wrong on that fact unlike others. A rulebook, yes. Jagex (and I) believe that... Classic: 1 Magic, 1 Prayer (ranged = Att + Str / 1.5) RS2: 1 Prayer (as this is the only non-fighting stat what raises your combat) I never said/state I was/am still Pure. Accomplishments in rs2 that are not featured in the hiscores can not be counted on on the sole reason there are TOO MANY players around. No one can claim being the first person to get a dark bow drop, no one can claim they finished RFD or any other quest first. How can you claim being the only pure having all the quest requirements? You are the only pure that POSTED about having the requirements and getting the gloves, but posting about it can not be considered an achievement. I agree, there were few enough people around in rsc to record those achievements, but it's impossible to claim anything like that now. I suggest sticking with achievements that many people can prove, not just things that the poster thinks to be true, but no one can prove. As I'm sure you know, when something new is released (ie: drop, or hard quest) Jagex Mods are there doing it too, and congratulate people on being the first to get their so called goal. mods on every world saying: he or she got the drop on world x? Jagex has stated that they don't have logs on who gets what drop nor who finishes x quest at what time. Those things can not be proven. Id understand if the list said: First pure to post and provide a picture about getting addy gloves: 3 hit u, but you can not claim being the first unless you provide us with proof of extensive research trough all hiscores.

  23. 3 hit, as interesting as your facts may be, they seem very nerdy and can not be relied upon. Those facts only include people that want other people to know their stats, and if you claim being the first person to get initiate or addy gloves then again, where did you get those facts? as I'm sure anyone knows, you couldn't prove any of those facts. First pure ever? is there a rulebook on what is and what is not pure actually? i would understand proper straight facts of iron pure, black pure, mithril pure, addy pure and rune pure, but going on with finishing legends is an outrage. I mean, some people even call themselves barrows/dfs pure, with nothing really pure about them by the sence of rsc.
  24. rsc combat system: (hp+str+att+def/4)+(prayer+magic/8)=combat level as prayer was needed for any kind of pure warrior, rsc community agreed that it wouldn't be classed as impure if you trained prayer, but 99 att str hp mage wouldn't have been classed as pure. As now pures do not gain combat levels training magic, it really doesn't matter.
  25. Actually, if you look in the highscores, Eve340 is ranked 9th in cooking, whereas Uloveme is ranked 1. Since they both have 200M xp, and everyone else in-between does as well, this proves Uloveme was actually the first to 99 cooking. why post when you know obviously nothing about the subject?
