  1. Errm, that is not a BTS, that is a whole new game you are designing. Seriously, as much as i appreciate your boyish enthusiasm, you don't want to make the game better, but rather completely change the old one. What isn't broken, shouldn't be fixed, adding a number of those updates to the game would surely cause havoc and bring out much more problems on a larger scale.
  2. Legit outfit? there are tons of people who could easily beat that, but this topic was to find out the most expensive outfit all-around.
  3. Where is the surprise? Everyone knew they would, the question was just when they would, and reaching 11m is quite an achievement for items that would normally sell for around 1m ea. Can't really say it was a good thing they did, because having masks in the market meant buying and selling over/underpriced items was made much more convenient. I myself got full 3a melee thanks to them and cashed out the last masks i had left over around a week ago. As for 3a prices- this update only makes 3a more desirable- 3a is now times harder to buy and this further cuts the ring of people who can conceivably afford it(only bh trades or pvp/shield/phat junk trades). Also the fact that partyhats are already showing signs of recovery means 3a is likely to skyrocket in near future.
  4. Way to make assumptions about the greatest RuneScape classic player of all time for no reason. Huge respect for those classic stats. So because he didn't want to continue playing the up to date version of the game(and perhaps get banned) he is now the greatest rsc player of all time? you are such an idiot that it's unbelievable- almost as unbelievable in fact as his account being legit. Nothing special tbh, macroing for 4 years and you still haven't maxed the only stat that matters(all other stats had been maxed in rsc by other people before him).
  5. An extra tip.it mod to clean up stupid threads, even though rs economy would suffer much because of it.
  6. Hasn't bothered me much, mostly though because i don't use barrows- guthan is useless now, and bandos is much more efficient to use compared to melee barrows. Karils is weak compared to armadyl and I rarely need to use ahrims, though it's the only useful set atm. Also my repair cost is 50% :D
  7. +50% is NOT 2x the experiance. I see those gloves being most useful for agility, hunter and melee, all things you could already train well in the wildy(4x compared to 1.5x is the key to these gloves)
  8. What was the saying again? You give them your hand, and they take the whole arm? Jagex, just stop the pleasing part and announce f2p to be complete and never to be updated again. The more you give them updates, the more they will bleed for more and more. If you don't pay, you should not have a right to ask for anything, but still they keep coming out and asking for updates...
  9. You could already hit atleast 77 with ags spec in duel arena before the update so 3 hit u is wrong(no surprise here tbh). No need to count cw brace- it's impossible to use it on a pvp world.
  10. 3a examines have been like that for ever so there really isn't a point in speculation of that.. we can not craft white dragonhide. we can not smith silver armor. we can not enchant armor.
  11. the xp you gain is basically directly proportional to the damage you deal. So if you do 5% more damage you gain approximately 5% more xp. Therefore you gain 5% more xp every hour. It is safe to assume that: 1 - (100 / 105) ~= 5% So a 5% increase in xp is roughly the same as a 5% increase in speed. Not exactly the same, but you can reasonably assume so. I'm not quite sure what game you are playing, but in a game called "Runescape", which we ought to be talking about, attack/def/str prayers effect the corresponding level directly and maximum damage, frequency of damage dealt to you/by you indirectly. Where was i thinking a 6-year old could figure this out... [/hide] Lol. Use a max hit calculator and see how a 5% strength prayer affects your max hit. I was surprised at this too, but for 5% and 10% prayers it raises your max roughly ~4.5% - 5% and ~9% - 10% respectively. (WITH the assumption you have 99 strength... I'm not sure if this assumption works with lower levels) You still assume way too much and have nothing to prove those facts. Also if you are right, +10% strength IS +10% max hit IS 10% experience. But then +10% attack should be +10% experience as well which would add up to +21% experience(or even +50% with piety). The maths for these prayers really aren't as simple as you might think they were, and it isn't useful just to assume things. Focusing on only maxed out players really doesn't help either.

  13. Ok, so prayer is not as easy as cooking, but what most people compare prayer to is, well, prayer, and particularly the old-school way of training it- and in that sense you are talking absolute crap. Compared to praying bones gilded altar is 3.5 times cheaper and 2.5 times faster, and compared to the old ecto, altar is 10 times as fast and still a bit cheaper. If you say your fingers got numb getting prayer up with using the gilded altar then that's just ridiculous compared to what most oldschool prayers had to go through. um....i would gladely switch places with a oldschool. Cause quite honestly? i wouldn't mind burying Dragon bones all the way.... But i am not oldschool: and oldschools had advantange of getting the levels up as they were there in the beginning. I also used 6m+3-5 days on getting construction level to make it as well. So old school can get the hell lost. This is not OLD SCHOOL AGE....so rather going back on "Omg back then it was so hard!!!!" take a break and realize: the game has been updated. Was there one singe point in the whole piece you wrote? I argued that prayer is actually dead easy now and you start telling me to never remember what was so good about the game most of the prayers used to love. I'm sorry but you and your overworked wrist(which isn't very ethical to be talked about on these forums) should accept that talking about the old is never bad- it helps us to remember and learn from the days far gone. In this situation for example, comparing the old and new versions of training methods helps me to explain why you are wrong in thinking that prayer is a hard skill. Oldschool can get the hell lost? With no respect to those who have been before you, who is going to value your opinion?

  15. Umm, just did a test myself- with 15 prayer bonus(which you suggested to be reasonable) my 99 prayer points were all drained with only piety prayer activated in 3 minutes and 50 seconds. Assuming that using piety saves 23% of your time, it would be useful to use it if you make more than 428k an hour. Oh, and your calculations(and mine for that matter) are completely meaningless(it would be stupid to explain why, but anyone with half a brain would figure out why).
  16. rs2 update didn't make it that much easier- the original grinding update and then construction were the main reasons why it isn't as respected anymore. But yeah- this update will not change the current situation much.
  17. Oh dear god, the whole scrabble(well, I'm not going to call them sentences) is complete horse manure... Cannon is ONLY there to kill the spawn and keep the beast in combat while you eat and not in any way to kill the beast. Armor and bonuses have never had any effect on what a cannon hits. On topic- yes, having seen the video of the best being soloed to 1k hp with sharks and melee only, i believe it is completely do-able. The guy could have used a cannon, divine ss, ruby bolts+running from claw attack, brews+super restores or even brought in a pack yak and dismiss it to get an additional 30 food. with all of those luxury's it will certainly be done soon, though i doubt it will be profitable doing so.
  18. Well yeah, i'd rate it as an achievement if there were any signs on your thread how you actually made the money, but for now, it isn't even achievement. If everyone posted things like that noone could find their way in the flood of stupid threads.
  19. Nah. For the next couple weeks, maybe... But you have to remember these ARE a coinshare item... Which means dozens will enter the game each day after people discover an effective strategy for killing it. Anything available through coinshare becomes saturated... And once it does, the price collapses. It's only a matter of time. If only people could actually eat their words... Elysian and Divine spirit shields, for the moment, are the two most expensive items in the game- both fetching up to 1 bil in street price(3a). Seems people actually understand that with 400 def bonus, +10 def isn't the same as 20%+ damage reduction.
  20. 3rd age kite fell around 125m when dfs came out so... yes. And also pretty hard.
  21. umm, why does everyone think the usefulness of these shields has any role in what the price of these items will be? Is 3rd age really THAT good? Are animal masks better than dragon med? The practicality is and will be for quite some time quite second nature in determining the pricetag- people don't buy them because they need them, but because they want them- they want a shield that is very special and needs 2 very rare drops from an unsoloable lvl 785 beast to create. They will probably sell for 3a quite some time.
  22. The GE updates are completely random and can happen at any time of day, the delay of an update ranges from around 6 hours to 36 hours(from personal experience). And yes, there are thousands of people already doing that, and have been for more than 6 months. For masks as an example, missing the update by more than 30 seconds(getting the offer in 30 seconds after price update) nullifies your chances of getting the item. Also the prices in-game update around a minute before than in database(to make the task even harder).
  23. Two things hit me reading this thread- God, Jagex are really stupid and can't understand where they are going wrong with their GE system. God, Tip.it members must be really poor and uninformed. Rich people are not greedy. They are not trying to ruin the market nor someones gaming experiance. What they are is smart, taking advantage of a flawed system Jagex stupidly forced upon them. Noone asked for them to remove free trade and restrict all trades, and it was unthinkable to presume they could make their updates work as they were supposed to. They did it, now they are paying the price. What they updated initially was low supply item price change amounts- big amounts meant 3rd age and masks rarely updated and high end armor prices were stable- small amounts(the new system) means 3rd age and masks update frequently but high end armor and weapons are easy to be merchanted off. Win-Win situation for merchants(slow update means more cheap masks/3a), but a definite lose-lose for the boys in charge. And Craven, your initial assumptions are wrong- BGS price only dropped so much because of jagex fiddling with their system and the snowball effect of selling dropping items. The right thing to do is to buy the items now and sell when they reach the top- everyone else is doing so anyway.
  24. What sort of an idiot thinks that trade removal would get all GE prices right? IT WOULDN'T! If an item is worth 50m gp and priced at 20m then there will still be no sellers, no GE updates. People think that junk trades ruin the GE system, but no, they don't. If people couldn't sell their items with junk, over 95% wouldn't sell them at all. Junk trades are just an easy way to still let these items change owners, but it doesn't have any effect on GE prices. If an item is going up in price, there is no reason to sell it. No sales, no price changes. The concept of Jagex'es stupidity. Merchants do not ruin runescape, they circulate the trade market by the basis that time is money. Without merchants everyone would be buying items at near market price and never get the things they want quickly.
  25. He does talk to you, and also accepts 5 logs to keep the beacon burning for a longer time. You probably need around 84 summoning(arctic bear pouch+10 levels) to talk to him though, because most people I've talked to say he only growls. Yes. I could talk with him (90 summoning). Oddly I couldn't understand the last line when I asked if he could watch over the fire for me. Same, but he still accepted the logs when i used them on him.
