  1. the creatures do not have to be low level.... with a divine, regen brace and phoenix necklace i'm fairly sure i could afk on a level 70+ creature for 6 hours straight until my rol teleports me to safety. Using force doesn't solve this problem- it goes deep to the game engine to crack this nut. Poop, cheating? How can you be sure? that kind of reports get yourself banned.....
  2. It's immature children like Guitar God that are the reason Jagex can't use words like "[wagon]" and "damn" in quests because of the response. Grow up. It's not like jagex wants or allows us to use the grammar we want- even in normal everyday speach half the words are hidden... Also i don't understand people making sutch a fuss about what guitar god said- Jagex didn't put that text in there for no purpose(why would they write the words with no gap?) but to be intimidative and to be honest, they did succeed. Also, not to be racist(though i'm not saying i'm not) he did make a fairly good joke about it. It's all about those countries being inhabited by black people that always demand everyone to be politically correct, nothing like living in a free country, tbh...
  3. We got that item 6 years ago. It's called the cape of legends.....
  4. But that really would be illeagal. You can not be forced to talk to any mod if you don't like doing so. In the intrest of the company, that is not a good solution. Omali, I too would like to see Jagex actually enforce some actual rules. I've seen plenty of people get away with some acts that are clearly against the ToS/EULA agreement, and other people get banned for simple stuff that is not even on ToS/EULA. Ex. Glitching/botting is still extremely prevalent. Just check out the GE prices. Then, while there are autoers out their collecting my resources, an actual paying, playing member is suspended for bypassing the filter when the word wasn't even that bad. And to xpx, if you want to see legal, I suggest you read the EULA. Think you just bought yourself a new item? Wrong. The EULA states that Jagex owns everything in your bank, inventory, PoH, etc. You're basically paying them for permission to work hard to achieve the level to use their items. And you think it would be "illegal" for them to require an answer from us... ;) You guys have to remember, when it comes to administrative decisions, unless you're part of the administration, you're input doesn't mean jack. All you can do is report the user and go about your business. Internet privacy laws- as they don't own us nor our time they can not force us to do anything.
  5. For a super rucksack? extra rewards doesn't remotely seem promising.... berserker iumbed seems like the only worthwhile update, but at the cost- playing a deadboring, short-minded minigame, it'll not be used much.
  6. You'd still have to eat whilst using prayer potions. And when training healing aura scrolls should rather be used as refrance.
  7. To everyone saying the shields are too expencive- maybe you are not a good enough player to own any of them yet? They are the best shields in the game, dropped rarely by the strongest boss monster in the game and don't cost much more than the blue partyhat. As for the usefulness, as i own all of the shields, they are defenitely all worth it, but mostly the divine, as it makes you as near as invincible against any one foe.

  9. I say you are a murderer, please, prove otherwise. The point of that statement: Jagex ought to have the power of a god if they were to enforce the rule. Jagex rules are not a law. By "illegal," I meant against the rules. I assumed you guys could infer that on your own. You should be more aware of the terms you use(otherwise why read what you write at all?). But, you still havn't answered the major fault in your system- why make rules, that can not be enforced? How can anyone be oblidged by the rules if they have no authority? This is much like law losing all of it's value and people going around saying: Killing is bad, you shouldn't do it. But if it doesn't bring any obligation and people can not be brought to justice for their deeds, they will still do it. Jagex made the rule without any thought about what the terms mean or how they are going to enforce it without breaking the actual law. What does at the computer mean? What does away from keyboard mean? How can jagex tell if you are or are not at the computer or if you are away from keyboard or not? Unless you can find an answer to all those questions there is no point reporting people using this training method or counting it out as abuse.

  11. well....i'm actually considering getting 200m mage xp with the method- it's 104k xp an hour with fire waves and sc armor(125k if you charge every minute) and only 4,5 gp per xp with the least of efforts(excluding sc armor).
  12. not the whole problem? you are sure to get a good job in cambridge then unless you make all creatures up to level 70 be immensely weak to magic it wouldn't still solve it, and that in turn would make magic too powerful.
  13. You must understand the problem before finding solutions. There are really 2 problems- there are monsters that can not kill people(which can not be solved) and there are armor that permits you to fail every spell cast(also nearly impossible to solve). i understand this, and where does making lumby cellar multi-combat not solve this, hmm? Where does it? are level 3 spiders the only creatures that can not kill a level 138 in full armor? or do you mean making the whole of runescape multycombat? and even that wouldn't solve it, because there are places rarely visited.

  15. As most of people have already said, they are afking mage, but few grasp that what they are doing can't be punished by jagex rules- firstly, unless you can prove they are not within a certain distance from their computer screen(and jagex has not defined the term ''being away from keyboard'') it's not reportable or punishable, thus the large number or reports and small number of bans(only way to determine is to watch their progress over 72 hours). Why are they doing it? cheap magic experiance with little conveniance.
  16. Or they could make additional spells that benefit both the attacker and the attackee- for example, spells that can do a maximum of 50 damage but half of that is taken from yourself, or spells that cost 10 prayer/defence and do a maximum of 40 damage. But as it is, jagex must find a way to make affordable and powerful(or just accurate) maging an option for boss monsters- combat isn't only pvp.
  17. muggiwhplar, it's all true what you are saying about magic being very powerful and can outlast any other class- but that itself is it's greatest weakness- yes, sure, if other people do agree to fight to death it might work out, but what most(if not all) pkers rely upon is taking your opponent down before he can use all their food- hitting above 90 is possible for both other classes and that really limits the mages powers- the fight will only end when the other player has consumed all their food, in which time the other player has had many opportunities to take down the mage. On the amulet subject- it's a welcome alternative and can be effective when using range as it's supposed to, but as a whole it's not a big step forward and with much less power than ought to. Jagex ought to have consentrated on magic and making it a relyable source when training combat or killing boss monsters(why not?).
  18. As much as i hate people getting wealthy very easily, it actually creates alot of ''dumb'' money and endless opportunities for merchants, thus actually being beneficial to those smart enough to take advantage.
  19. They will keep rising until the demand starts to go down and people start to sell because the price got high enough. They won't crash though, this time they'll remain the top money holding item in the game like they used to me. I'll give you a blue partyhat(well, transfer enough money to you) if partyhats never crash again. Not crashing? everything crashes. EVERYTHING. Because, funnily enough, crashing makes money, and money is what people are after. Partyhats, as a jagex'es genius plan, are a very bad investment- top merchants could make much more than the louzy 0.5% percent by trading other items, and thus partyhats are bound to crash, but go around in very large circles. They won't crash and be terrible junk like they were after the GE was released and what not. They will drop after they start to stablize but they will forever be an item to hold GP because of the 2.147B limit which a lot of merchants have already. Also the percent per update is 1% not .5. Your right that everything will go down but whether it crashs hard is a totally different thing. Hard crashs would be like 3rd age which partyhats won't do. Partyhat prices do not update every day, so the 0.5% is an average of change for all of them. And yes- with 1% price changes, it's hard for them to become really terrible junk, because, lets face it, losing 1% a day is much more convenient than losing 5%. As an item to hold money in? there are much better items for those purposes that can be transfered into money more conveniently at all times(partyhats are not spots of money- they either are bought out or junk, both conditions meaning no fast money). For the whole, considering any item that has been bought out is bound to crash, they will never be stable(stable as in atleast 70% controlled by people who do not merchant).

  21. Don't make misinformed guesses of how the ring works. The notion that it ''improves''(makes it rarer) the drop even if you were to get a whip does not mean your whip droprate is decresed. On average, because the whip is more rare than an average rare item from the demons it's droprate is still improved by the ring, just not the full potential of the ring. As an upshot of this, you can assume that it decreses the droprate of the least rare drop(most likely uncut sapphire) and improves the droprate of the rarest items at the maximum percentage(something like left half from barbarians). The droprates of all other rare items are both reduced and improved, and the overall differance being determined by the position of the item on the rare item scale.
  22. So you are practically mixing up the questions of ''does god exist?'' and any relevant question that a pupil would answer ''It depends...'' to... This is not a discussion, it's just another speculation over the game engine, divine physics(or the complexity of a childrens mind, what ever suits you best) and particular context. There is no real answer to your question(also, to even try to answer it, the understanding of ''rare'' should be the same for both of us, which it most likely is not).
  23. The items that are affected by the ring do not have to be rare, they just have to be on the list of rare items that jagex has put up. For example, an uncut sapphire is in no way a rare drop, but it is on the jagex'es list of rare drops, hence the droprate of the item is affected by the ring. Also, as stated by jagex, if you get a drop marked ''common'', the ring doesn't further affect the drop, but if you were to get a drop marked ''rare'' it might make the drop better. What is rare? it all depends on the toughness of the monster, it's overall drops and the items in the list of rare. To find all this out you'd first have to find out what drops are considered rare(by comparing droprates with and without the ring) and then adding them up and dividing by the amount of monsters killed. As an estimate, rare drops are given by every 20th gwd boss, so only those could be affected by the ring.
  24. What's the point in boasting about maximums when the stakes are this low? on average, if you buy 20% of all the lottery tickets, you'd win 20% of the time, but since the stakes are that high, even a singe ticket can win to make the discussion valid. Getting 22 herbs from a patch is good, but on average, useless. Also when considering this topic, you'd have to take into account how bugged farming used to be when noone liked to farm. When I was around 87 farming I banked 5 times when harvestring a toadflax patch at caterby, with my average free inv spots at the time being around 13.
  25. Errm, not to break your bubble(in which you obviously live in) but what should the rich players do then? Give their money away? oh wait, we can't do that. Put money into skills? oh wait, all my buyable skills are already maxed. Hoping that people that are more successful in a game than others would get shot is simply the most idiotic thing i've ever heard. Being rich doesn't automatically mean you are greedy, and as far as i can tell, being a tip.it mod doesn't automatically mean you know anything about runescape.
