  1. The sport already has a name with less hypocrisy. It's called gridiron.
  2. One effigy per 36 minutes? Doubt it's possible, otherwise everyone would be doing it. Deyan, that's what i thought, and it's not like firemaking costs a hell of a lot.

I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that the Magic longbow spec was designed to always hit. EDIT: It's right here on tipit. How nice, a one line statement on a fan-made site with no proof to back it up. I won't doubt the MLB spec is 100% accurate....if you show me proof. Until then, the safest bet is to trust the KB. So chaotic crossbow is +100 range attack and the staff is 15% damage? right... If you trust the KB, then, i'm sorry, but you are very stupid. In any case, it would be just as impossible for me to prove it to you as it would be for you to prove i'm wrong. Also, the KB does not specify if the hit is 100% accurate or not. I knew you'd bring those up. You see, the difference here is that it's actually been proven wrong. There is no proof ANYWHERE that says the MLB spec is 100% accurate. So until then, what am I supposed to trust? A fan made 1 liner? A person who doesn't even has a source? Sorry but no, until proven other wise, I'll be trusting Jagex. Are there any other specs Jagex have gotten wrong? If not, why should they mess just this one up? (the Chaotic crossbow DID have 100 range attack btw) It's strange, I see so many people around here asking for proof on topic of real importance, and they actually get good answers, yet I ask for proof on such a small thing in the game, and get called stupid for trusting the makers of the game. I'm not stupid, I'm just looking for proof. Last I checked "a greater chance" doesn't mean "You'll always hit" I can think of two monsters that this would be perfect to test on. However, I do not have an MLB, nor plan on wasting time trying to prove/dis-prove something that doesn't even matter. Yes, you are very much stupid for trusting the makers of the game. Anyone with half a brain knows that jagex doesn't actually know much about the game, which is why fan-sites like tip.it are very much popular even now, much after the KB was released. The fact that there is proof that the stats of chaotic items are incorrect just proves that the KB is not always correct, thus can't ever be used for reference(like you are doing right now). In any case, the KB doesn't specify if the special attack is 100% accurate or not, it just says it's more accurate than normal, which, for all we know, might mean it is infinitely more accurate than the normal attack. For testing, proving something like this, it's factually impossible(you'd have to use the special attack for infinite amount of times, and never miss), and even then, considering the knowledge of RS combat system, hitting a 0 doesn't always mean a miss, so it's sometimes impossible to distinguish between hits and misses. As it has been said before, not having MLB/sMLB/MCB is not really an argument for you not to test it, me not being a member, however, is.

Spend next to infinite amount of time trying to miss? how does that work?

  6. sour grapes are...sour grapes. If you'd seen the amount of stupidity about how different people think frost dragons should be killed, you'd probably have written a guide yourself. Also, the time the guide was actually written should be taken into account, at which time less than 2k people could actually access them. The major part of detailed ranging has been under construction for a while(but you'd have known that, having read some more) and thus isn't completely up to date, though i have given alot of extra information in the replys on the thread. As for brushing your teeth, you'd be surprised how difficult it actually is, and how many little details you should know to do it well and effectively. Anyone can talk, getting others to listen to you is the hard part. As for overloads, they are more than worth it to use on frost dragons. Couple of points on them: offer around 10 more kills an hour added defense makes a big difference in reducing clicks(ss flicking) added ranged level makes a nice difference for cannon accuracy allows for much longer trips

[/hide] Dark Bow and Korasi says hi. He said the dark bow at the end of his post. There has been a 100% accurate weapon from almost the start of rs2, from the time special attacks were released- magic longbow. Though yeah, SGS spec is anything but 100% accurate. "This attack uses the full power of the longbow and will have an increased chance of hitting your opponent" Taken from the KB, I didn't know 'increased chance' meant 100% no comment needed....
  8. I agree, calming down would definately help. I am finding one more good side on broads vs rune bolts - broad bolts require much less money put in the bolts in the preparation phase. Especially if you use broads with accumulator. That might be a helpful thing for him, considering OP probably doesn't have as much money as xpx. I'd go with rune bolts, though, but I can agree some people rather go with the easiness of broads. It's not that big of a sin. He needs 250m for an ELY and doesn't have ~10m? kk, you are getting off without a snarling flame, but that was a bad comment. In any case, as he has alot of lag, runite bolts will be further ahead of broads than the numbers from my tests because he can't lure properly, causing the primary range weapon to have a larger impact on the overall damage.

  10. Have i claimed to be famous? not really, but it's your problem to be arguing with me, not mine. And, for your information, i've had a LOAD of people recognize my name due to the guide while dungeoneering, most of them people who don't post on these forums. How ironic is it that your knowledge isn't top notch, and you haven't read my guide?
  11. I posted the data a long time ago, not my problem you haven't read it. I don't think my reply was actually offensive, rather it was a fair reply for you second guessing me(which is a stupid thing to do on this particular subject). And really, should I really tell everyone posting stupid advice why their advice is stupid, rather than just telling them they are wrong? Have you heard of the saying: ''One idiot can ask more questions than a hundred smart people can answer.'' I think it is fair for me, one of the most knowledgeable people on this particular subject on these forums, to give advice on the subject and not to be second guessed. You, on the other hand, should think before posting something, otherwise you are bound to be flamed.
  12. It's not really about your advice being wrong, it's about you not admitting to it even though your knowledge was only based on theory, not actual testing. I understand you not knowing about everything, but as i'm more or less a specialist on frost dragons, i have no idea why you'd be in doubt of my knowledge.
  13. No, i'm smart and you are theoretizing on something you have no idea about. With runite bolts, you have no option but to use accumulator, which gets back around 75% bolts, without picking up, you'd lose around 200 bolts. With broad bolts, you have the option of using either accumulator or sw cape, with accumulator, the loss is around 200 bolts, with sw cape, the loss is 800 bolts, either way, you'd be losing money with broad bolts. I have no idea why you'd try to argue with me on this subject, after all, i've likely killed much, much more frost dragons and done many, many more tests than you have on this subject.
  14. What the hell are you talking about now? Collecting bolts? there is no collecting bolts for any case. Just face it, you are/were wrong and gave advice you actually had no idea about.
  15. Broad bolts aren't certainly the superior option. The difference in KPH between the two methods is around 6.6, meaning the difference in profit is around 150k, more than runite bolt cost to use an hour. Not to mention the loss of xp.
  16. You are just good at giving bad advice, i guess. Using runite bolts doesn't mean that you'd pick up those bolts, accumulator already covers 75% of the picking, and until recently(with elite void update) it was better to use SW cape with broad bolts to save prayer potions and leave all the bolts on the floor. The thing you are forgetting, most likely, is that each frost dragon kill is worth around 23k, meaning that the minimal difference in the cost of bolts(140k vs 80k) is more than paid off by the number of extra kills. But ofcource, you wouldn't know this- you have not tested this and are just blowing smoke.
  17. Likely because you aren't smart enough to do so. I've actually tested this, have you?
  18. runite bolts with runite crossbow.
  19. Are you sure that one players leeches work for the overall defense of the monster? I'm not sure that is true, otherwise mass corp would be a joke(20 people- starts at 12,5% def, down to 0,3% with full leech). on topic- yes, piety is always better than leeches.
  20. Only that knives/darts are 50% faster...terrible for comparison. And for your information, a standard shortbow with bronze arrows both hits higher and has higher accuracy than the sling. Bronze arrows cost ~4k an hour to use with accumulator, not picking up, so assuming shortbow+bronze arrows is 4% better, you'd need to make 104k an hour for bronze arrows+shortbow to be better than the sling. lvl 3 men, as we have found out, are over 300k an hour. So, in conclusion, the sling is ****, and nerfing it further would be ridiculous.
  21. WHAT? Unless you are a complete newb, it's a terrible range weapon. Things like broad bolts and arrows are ALWAYS better at any level that counts, you just have to understand that the time you waste when using an inferior weapons is a considerable loss of money when compared to most other ranged methods. This is exactly why hand cannon, one of the most expensive ranging methods(4th behind onyx, dragon bolts and rune knives, actually, of the usable methods), is the best for frost dragons.
  22. Well, considering i can get around 140 kills without the cannon or around 110 kills with no combat class at all, you must be doing something wrong. All of the combat moneymakers(or any moneymaker at all for that matter, except for merchenting) are about keeping active and being fast so if you can't improve the KPH, you should really consider learning to merchant.
  23. Firstly, when maging or ranging, frost dragons do not do damage to you, which is why you'd never want to use blood barrage or soul split. Secondly, blood barrage is ridiculously expensive and hits lower than ice barrage. And thirdly, soul split uses much more prayer points than deflect curses, not to mention the damage deflection. Oh, and when he isn't getting too many kills now, mage would get much, much less. I meant like, use mage pray and switch to Soul Split when you need the hp. In my experience (using Void), SS tends to keep up and you'll end up healing, although yes, you'd use up a LOT of prayer points during this time, but seeing as you only need to heal 5-8 times per hour, it doesn't seem THAT bad. Melee with melee void? but that would leave you defenseless against melee attacks, causing you to use SS constantly. Mage and range shouldn't(and if done right, don't) need any healing at all. In any case, if you can't heal with SS, melee isn't the fastest combat class anymore and no matter what, if he is getting 80-100 kills less than he should right now, he is doing something very wrong.
  24. I could get 99 ranged with hand cannon and make 500M so... You being cheap has nothing to do with the fact that you'll be losing ALOT of money getting 99 ranged with the sling.
  25. xpx replied to TheAncient's topic in Data and Research
100% accuracy is not a guess, it's a purposely made flaw. At best, you could use 90%, but even that is pushing it. FSH is full slayer helmet. For most people, getting the stats for EEE is as hard as getting the 50m free money to buy one, and you don't actually lose any efficiency getting the stats for EEE being a well-rounded player. But aswell as saying that last quote, you could also say that there is no reason in getting SGS when you already have EEE since it is situationally much better, and never much worse(just like rapier over CLS).
