Any theories on how onyxes lost a third of their street, and the gems are now around a crown (instead of 1.5)?

Drops from pvp are 10x better than they were in the old wilderness. Quit yer bicthin'
-
They are better, or else you wouldn't be complaining about how much better they are at killing monsters.
-
I guess red h'weens are crashing now too.

Reasonable melee exp and reasonable k/h

Could kill hand cannoneers. -
I guess Rex and Armadyl. To whoever said it's good for saradomin solo, obsidian is better because you pray magic and only take damage from the ranger.
-
Just as many bots now as there were in 2006. They're just better, but I still don't care.

Not to be an ass, but OP knew bloody well he would lose it if he died. Yes it sucks and I empathize (I can't even get to 80, I'm at like 67 or something still >_< ), but really, your argument is horrible. I made 100m coins, took me 25 hours, and died by a dragon. Shouldn't I be "entitled", by your argument, to get that 100m coins back? I already worked for it. Oh yeah, and everyone who has anything I don't in runescape MUST play 10+ hours a day? :-k

I'd say that how a player acts says a lot more about whether they report innocents "willie nillie" than a silver crown. That being said, there is a weak correlation between that type of behavior and those fancy silver crowns. There's nothing to do about it, deal with it I guess since you knew (or should have known) you would have to put up with that behavior if you became a moderator.

Support, no irony.

Stomp = ranged attack No stomp = magic attack I always pray mage, and if he stomps I switch to ranged, then back to magic again once he hits me.

Ice strykewyrms and blue dragons are faster with fire surge. Just not chaos rune spells <_< Ice wyrms yeah, and yes Rex is faster with magic, but I guarantee blue dragons are faster with melee.

I'd rather throw the xp at something else. But then again I'm well over 99 slayer. -
Which Money Sinks Would Help Runescape Economy?
Bladewing replied to NukeMarine's topic in General Discussion
There is not a strong incentive for anyone to play a lottery which has an expected return of 0.5 lol. It's interesting, but as morionic said the incentives need to be strong to get players, who are rational contrary to common belief, to participate. -
If you are buying, you could probably buy an onyx for around 90-100m, then use that junk to sell 3-4 sets of battle robes easily, if the junk is awful. Could probably sell it all with 2 sets if you get a lot of stable junk in the initial trade and sell that 50/50. Off-topic but you are a fool and the prayer drain is almost unnoticeable, it's much less prayer drain than someone smiting you.

As long as you are at your computer it's not afking. And I couldn't give a [bleep] if someone AFKs, just like I don't give a [bleep] if someone bots.

Quote ran along the lines of "Get bigger [than them], or get out." Again, you don't own the spot just as much as the 122 or whatever doesn't own the spot. If you can't compete hop to an open world (which at kalphites I GUARANTEE there is an open world). 40 seconds boohoo, you're obviously willing to spend 40 seconds to write the OP, so you can afford to hop.

And only a fool uses combat to train magic outside of barrage.

Medium fuse does throw them faster. But supposedly it affects their accuracy. A short fuse is most accurate on nearby opponents (e.g. when you're chinning), medium on medium range, and long on long range.

Needles aren't worth it, and helms aren't worth it. Hammers are worth it if you have low incomes (we're talkin like 2m or less), but for the most part the people getting 99 construction and smithing have better incomes than that. I regret using hammers to 99 smithing, and I deeply regret using needles for part of 99 crafting (better of 8m xp or so).

1. One of the best places to train combat is armoured zombies. You will need to do the Defender of Varrock quest to access them. If you find that you enjoy slayer, that's an okay (read as not fast, but possibly more enjoyable) way to train combat as well. 2. One of the best ways to train ranged as a member is to cannon monsters, and at higher levels using red chinchompas is the best way. Some good ways to train magic are: superheating concentrated gold ore as you mine it, using high alchemy (only good at lower levels), Plank make, String Jewelry (expensive but low focus requirement), and bursting/barraging rock lobsters (if you're looking for charms for summoning) 3. I would argue that runecrafting is useless, but yes it is much easier to train it. You can make fire or smoke runes using rings of duelling (good at lower levels), nature runes using a spirit graahk (basically only good for money, if that), or use ZMI (the fastest rc xp) 4. If you can make over 600k an hour (which you can) a dwarf cannon is technically efficient for slayer. It is also a great way to get through those lower ranged levels. However in practice you may not enjoy using it or making the money for the cannonballs. 5. Not sure on the agility question. 6. For herblore, at this point I would focus on cleaning herbs and training with penguin points. I wouldn't invest money in this skill until you can afford to train it to 88 or higher. 7. [hide]There are a few options I would recommend right now. Green dragons can be okay money, as can killing snakes on Mos Le Harmless. If you want to make money without combat, you could pick mort myre fungus for roughly 800k an hour, or you could make unfinished potions for up to 1.5m or more per hour (be wary of price changes). You should also get started on farming herbs and investing money into your kingdom after doing the Miscellania quests.[/hide] 11. Eventually the best way to make money is merchanting (usually flipping is best) in the grand exchange and killing strong bosses (godwars, corporeal beast, tormented demons).

Maybe it's just me, but I always buy potions, even ones I don't plan on making extremes like brews or prayer potions, as (3)s out of habit because they're easier to buy. If today, unaware of their inflated and crashing price (theoretical), I wanted to buy brews to kill some bosses, I'd buy (3)s. Therefore I recommend selling as (3)s, especially if they're already (3). -- Here's a little musing: Onyx ring for a while has been worth 2 crowns plus cash. But now that 2 crowns have almost surpassed the GE value of onyx ring, onyx ring will become a better store of "street value". Will that increase demand, and cause their street to go even higher? I'd guess yes, I've already seen many players trying to sell pumpkins and partyhats for onyx rings + cash, whereas two weeks ago they'd be selling for crowns.

Dragon > Rune > Adamant > SC

It's outdated. When it was released it was quite good money.
