I didn't include it because I didn't feel a need to address it. Since you want me to, here's a brief explanation. The nominal value (i.e. how many coins it's worth) of the partyhats may fall, but their real value (i.e. that they are worth more than other items in the game) will only increase, since supply is ever dwindling. Making money will always be faster now than it was three years ago. Even if coins are "nerfed" and you only get 1 coin for every 100 coins you used to (e.g. a nature rune is 3 coins, an Armadyl godsword is one million coins) - which would cause "average" income rates to drop from 500k/hour to 5k an hour - the true value created (in terms of potential xp or whatever) will be far higher because we have new items that multiply our productivity. This is called capital. New teleports, better weapons, better armor, better prayers, better potions, familiars, and still others greatly improve what one hour of playing yields. If a purple partyhat drops to 10 million coins, I will guarantee you that your Armadyl Godsword will be less than 3 million, your Bandos chestplate will be less than 500k, etc. For more reading on this subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_versus_nominal_value_%28economics%29

Compared to other tasks they're very slow. I can kill 250 dust devils in 45 minutes, but killing 200 warped tortoises takes nearly an hour.

You can compare them, because both are functioning currently NOT as their "normal" use. Pumpkins and Easters both used to be about half the price of Santa hats, but now they have been assigned value beyond that normal scope. Eventually the house of cards will collapse and they will return to their old value. Correction: Rares will always rise in the long run relative to other items. It is FAR easier to earn the money for a partyhat now than it was a few years ago. It is conceivable to make 3m an hour, which if paying "street prices", it'll take you about 130 hours to buy a purple partyhat at that rate. A few years ago, you topped out at about 400k/hour (excluding 91 rc, which was around 900k/hour), which if paying the 90m a purple was worth at that time, would take you over 200 hours.

A lot of potions are at 20gp/xp right now, so if you don't mind the slower speed (slower than the new potions which are better xp but cost a bit more, 25gp/xp), it'll cost you about 200m.

Please elaborate why. Because you can use the Winter Storage ability to bank the bones while you kill. I woul've thought that would be pretty self evident ;)

You'll average one about every task you have in the dungeon, though. If you have a spare ring, use the teleports. When you're on your last ring, don't use them. Simple as that.

In response to halo: My observation is that yellow in particular is dropping a LOT. It would not surprise me if green reclaimed it's old position as more valuable than yellow, it's been rising in "value" for the last couple weeks.

Read, he said 25k/hour. So he spent 32 hours killing those dragons. Instead he could've spent 11 hours alching at nightshade, netting about 5.5m. The remaining 4m could've been spent killing green dragons for five hours. It took him 17 extra hours to do the same thing. But again, whatever is most fun :P

You can cannon them at the ice fortress near deep wilderness. But cannon doesn't work well on them I think.

You'd be better off grinding out the money at something like green dragons and then just buying the planks. Planking them yourself would be less efficient - leave that to the bots.

You could also play gnome delivery. For the time being, Mint Cakes have a street of 4-5m, and you can get one every 90 minutes on average (that's mine out of 9 cakes), on top of about 600-800k profit per hour without special items.

Purple is like 350-400m if you're paying pure cash for purple+junk, but very few phat sellers have that kind of junk. It's much easier to buy easter+junk and then trade the easter for your partyhat of choice. Purple + a few mints = easter + cash Green = egg + 30 mints + cash yellow = 2 eggs Red = pumpkin I'm not too sure on white or blue, as they're rarely traded.
