okay i'm gonna reclarify some stuff cause my post got kinda blown out of proportion and context [hide=a bunch of quotes] [/hide] i definitely know i wasn't addressing das, his posts seemed very well thought out and applicable, particularly liked this bit he wrote: one more thing i'd like to address: there's a difference between slightly off topic tangent posts and the cancerous trend of twisting every god damn thread into "how mean the efficiency people are" and "how stupid the inefficiency people are".

well you already have the charms for 79 summoning. so i'm going to assume you are considering getting more charms for 88 - which is about 8000 more crimsons. with your stats, you should really only be choosing between waterfiends and bursting lobs. off task i'm going to estimate that you would get about 100 crimsons per hour at wfs. you ought to use piety, and not bother with protect from ranged. you'll approximately break even (technically profit, but it's such a small amount that i'll disregard it). so it would take you 80 hours to get the crimsons, but you'd also get about 1.7m xp in each attack/strength defence - that would bump you up to about 89 attack/strength/defence. bursting rock lobsters. due to the additional golds/greens, you will only need to burst for about 5500 crimsons. you get about 160 crimsons, 100 golds, 50 greens per hour bursting. you also get about 110k magic xp per hour by using about 600 casts. so it'll take you about 35 hours to burst all the charms, at the cost of about 20m in runes (about 9m if you use full battle robes). you will also gain about 3.8m magic xp. summary: wfs - 80 hours, 0 loss, 1.7m each att/str/def xp lobs - 35 hours, 20m (9m) loss, 3.8m magic xp i would recommend bursting, since magic xp is a bit more valuable, and the 45 hours you save will be plenty to recoup your 20m (9m) losses. edit: pouches to make golds - use all on barker toads greens - use all on fruit bats and then scrolls, using baskets of bananas blues - save crimsons - after using all your greens and golds, use on the following familiars 64 - stranger plant 74 - granite lobster 83 - spirit dagannoth (depending on hide prices) 85 - swamp titan

once again, tip.it has twisted the topic to "efficiency clowns" vs " 'nice' people"
-
i'd only buy karils if you are going to be doing ct waterfiends
-
as of today's mid price, and using a pack yak to offer 1500 bones per hour: frost dragons are best if you make 6.4m or more per hour dagannoth bones are best if you make between 2.4m and 6.4m per hour dragon bones are best if you make between 1m and 2.4m per hour baby dragon bones are best if you make less than 1m per hour

it still doesn't make any sense to be mad or offended by what strangers on the internet say to you -
1) What is it? maximizing slayer xp/h 2) Is it better than regular slaying? objectively yes (that is disregarding personal taste) 3) Slayer is renown to be very profitable, but is power slaying more/less profitable than regular slaying? per hour, more profitable 4) If you power slay, do you do clue scrolls after the task or during the task? after the task, if at all (some people do not like them) 5) Does it have high costs? As when it comes to power training, it usually applies to maximum efficiency that comes proportionally with cost. higher accounting costs, but to not powerslay has much higher opportunity costs 6) Pros/Cons of Power slaying? pros: faster slayer xp faster melee xp ranged xp from cannoning faster charms faster effigies faster drops more engaging, fun cons: takes more focus requires the use of more supplies (non-powerslayers do not use prayer pots, cannonballs, and sometimes not even super pots) can be discouraging to see "so much money" go towards supplies 7) What stats would be best to power slay? 99 all here are the levels at which i would recommend starting slayer: 80 attack (rapier) 80 dungeoneering (rapier) 70 prayer (piety) 70 defence (verac's)
-
i assume this is for slayer? i'd say: berserker ring amulet of fury z spear (once you get rapier, you will only use it for waterfiends tasks) karils (when you are below 95 summoning and have either 95 prayer or 88 summoning, you could temporarily sell this since with unicorn or soulsplit you can live with black hides. once you get 95 though buy it back since it's off to the chaos tunnels with an iron titan) dragon claws bandos ahrims (useless for slayer until 93)
-
every task except black demons and ice wyrms is fastest with melee. so yeah you should use melee. i'd really recommend getting a rapier if you are going to get really into slayer. once you have it you'll thank me.

no way you are going to get a phat for a mask set + cash. phats do indeed sell for billions. a purple partyhat usually goes for around 1.2-1.5bil, depending on the junk. if you don't want to flip your 600m to the 1.5b or so you'd need for a phat + junk trade, i guess your only other option is to buy 1 fury kit at a time and dispose of the junk through trading. you would need to repeat this until you have enough fury kits to trade for a phat. edit: actually the second method could be preferable since you would only be sitting on like 80-120m junk at a time instead of 800-1000m at once.
-
for slayer you should absolutely always be using fire cape if you are 95 prayer oh and berserker prayer is never worth using, just saying. you need to repot every time your stat drops 1 for berserker to be worth using instead of bringing more pots to repot 13% more often. should that situation arise, overloads are better anyway. also if you have soulsplit there is really no reason to pray melee on metal dragons
-
efficiency: the time required to earn money to cover additional cost of using method b over a vs. the time saved by doing b instead of a if the former exceeds the latter, stick with a; conversely, if the latter exceeds the former, choose b.

[bleep] me, why does this thread have to rear its head every god damn week?

brews are 1.5x'd junk

orrrr you can get tassets and bcp and stop penny pinching on prayer pots which only cost like 50k an hour anyway, lol. edit: managed to mother [bleep]ing quadruple post, top that, [bleep]es

at top speed (that is cannon tribrid i believe), on task, the average profit is like 4.5m/h or so.
-
in my opinion, the title applies to all of runescape's holiday events
-
or you could cannon tribrid - it's faster, easier, and less risky.

it is OBVIOUSLY about you caring. the sane majority of scapers don't make a rant or qq everytime someone says something offensive, MUCH LESS when someone asks why they train a skill past 99. -
above yellow, below red. in other words, still very high.
