  1. 1. Verac's Armor has 27 less Mage Penalty over Torag's armor, so you can quite confortably fit +15 mage bonus in there. 2. Prayer Bonus. Since you are gonna be praying against quite a few opponents anyway, why not wear something that would help you in that regard too? Verac is good. What satenza is true. Slayer Dart is indeed affected by Mage Bonus. In fact if you let your mage bonus fall below -15, you will definitely notice the splash against even the melee brothers.
  2. to add to that jack, 1 more mage level and your darts hits 18  You would require higher melee stats to melee karil effective as previously mentioned, however 80 attack should be sufficient if you supre attack pot , incredible reflexes, 4 dds specials and finish with whip. Wear Melee armor against Verac, Torag and Guthan, so you dont hit as much. and dont worry, their mage is so bad that you can hit as well with +50 mage than -15.
  3. Reminds me of Day Star in Blade Trinity. Would be awesome idea though
  4. Its either all or nothing. Wear Full Melee armor, or full mage armor (i recommend the former STRONGLY, mage armor does next to nothing in barrows), because if you mix and match, you wont get enough of either. As Runescapefan said, Wear Melee armor (verac's armor is especially useful for this), and mage the brothers in melee armor. To further save money, do not use Blast or Wave spells, stick to either Darts or Fire Bolt with chaos guantlets. For the record, i use 1 Super attack, 1 super Restore and 1 prayer dose per chest loot.
  5. 10 or more, usually less than 20, depending on my guthan set
  6. updated the drop log for 3rd of September. May this day happen again albeit very unlikely
  7. not seemingly, it does give identical bonuses to defence as legs.
  8. Not possible without greegrees in the first place. He lost them all.
  9. and DO NOT pray on all brothers. Mage Torag and Guthan in melee armor (especially Guthan), otherwise you lose wayyy too much money on prayer pots. You should be making money every trip regardless of the chest rune drops.
  10. i found that i end up wasting food because i have to eat to pick up the runes, so thats why i made them empty. If i were to fill those, they would be super energy pots, for running to barrows without walking.
  11. NOT TRUE! Slayer dart IS affected by Mage Bonus, just not as much as other spells. I tried them on barrow brothers with -30 mage attack bonus and i splashed 20 times against karil where i usually only do max of 3.
  12. He genuinely hits lower when melee prayer is on, 15 is his max when you have prayer, but 20's otherwise. Melee armor is the best way to stop his damage. I also suggest you NOT to use mystic robes to mage the melee brothers, its a complete waste of prayer pots (especially on Guthan, you are letting him surviving 2x as long with no melee protection), and since your mage is pretty high anyway, your melee armor wont stop you from hitting brothers because their mage defence is also non-existent.
  13. For me, absolutely none. Not good enough as mage attack, neither for melee def.
  14. What is it you're wearing on your hands? Skeletal Gloves, a drop from Wallasalki's on water birth.
  15. Well If that is the case you can set your kingdom slaves at 100% herbs and make pots out of them. You would also have to farm your own herbs (ranarrs preferrably) and kill for them (al kharid warriors or flesh crawlers, chaos druids are nearly always crowded)
  16. their fireblast is baby fire blast, its more like fire strike, they do 8 max damage, not 16 (otherwise it is worth burthorpe trip)
  17. they are mage based. I tried using guthans set on them and they hit me almost every second hit. I use karils and can kill about 6 before needing to mage pray and guthan.
  18. buy harralanders and make energy pots until you can make super attacks, then irits until you can make super energies, then buy avantoes and make super energies. All of these pots are useful, especially Super Energy (i always carry a few around when i know i am gonna do some running)
  19. but its a LOT slower with minds, and you make less per ess (while they are roughly the same price), 12 ea would be good money.
  20. warrior guild bank is also very close to the guild.
  21. Lets say i am crafting glory, i know that you have to have 80 crafting to burn the d stone and gold bar together, but do you need 80 craft to STRING them?
  22. Well there are 3 Kinds of Dagganoths in RS: 1. The ones under the lighthouse certainly do not have them, because they are melee and ranged as well, so any melee safe spots are useless. 2. The ones in Waterbirth, where you get the Dagganoth Hides from (the hide that makes all armor), I dont remember seeing any safe spots down there. They will be hard to find if they are present 3. The ones behind the door in Waterbirth are ranged, so no safe spots there. In short, i dont think there is, you would have to pray them all the time.
  23. several methods: 1. Bwo Wannai Clean-Up minigame, when you hack the jungle, one of the events is a snake. Killing that snake yields 1 Snake Skin (the rest of the snakes on Karamja dont work) 2. The Temple Trekking Minigame, when you encounter a Giant Snake, kill it, and use a Knive on it, you will get several Snakeskins 3. The easiest but most running, and requires Cabin Fever : Go to Mos Le'Harmless, and into the jungle there. There are snakes there and they always drop snake skin.
  24. Huh? How was it worth it if you will never use it again? he was being sarcastic. Ranged is 100% worth every penny. Yes it might be painful to train initially, but once you hit 70, it rolls down hill from there because you can use crystal bow and go against some higher monsters that you might have a difficulty hitting otherwise, not to mention the ability to wear the cool and good black d'hide.
  25. i'd recommend buying the helmet, but keep your berserker. Helm has nice defence if you decide to level on higher level monsters.
