Point = you spent millions more to get something with the same defense... I don't factor the hammers into torags set, they stink. I use a whip, much better. Millions more? i think you are exaggerating. Dharok's Body and legs costs almost the same as torag's set, and torag's helm is like 250k anyway, so if you get that, you wont have a problem of trying to sell the torag's set if you get more money to be able to afford Dharoks or something. No1 can use a full barrow set in CW, the point is that the set pieces have the best mage attack AND melee defence for mages, making it perfect for CW Hey, no offence but Guthan sucks the dirt..... It is horrible for training.. Only controlled attacks? wth is that about? Mine is Dharok, great looks, great def and great max hit..... No1 uses Guthan to train, they use it instead of FOOD when training, so they can stay there longer. Most ppl just use whip and rune def till they are low on health, change to spear, heal with the whole set, when full health, switch back to Whip. easy. Dharok's is GOD slow and GOD risky, i prefer dragon scimmy when training strength. I cant hit jack with Dharok's set.

Guys, here is the correct one: Helms: Torags and Guthan's Helms have the same def, Dharok's inferior by 10 in all melee and ranged defence state, and Verac is inferior in ranged by something like 5 (certainly less than 10), but has better mage defence and prayer bonus. Bodies: Dharok's, Torags's AND Guthan's Body are exactly the same stats, Verac's is inferior by about 40 in all catgories, except Mage Attack (which is just -6), ranged attack (-2) and mage defence (0 rather than -5) Legs: Dharok's Legs and Torag's Legs are identical in stats, while Guthan's Skirt is inferior by 10 in all melee and ranged defence. Verac's skirt has identical melee def to Torag's legs and 6 less ranged defence, but has 0 mage defence (as opposed to -2) and +4 prayer bonus.

The charge and the seed are seperate, so if you recharge first seed for 900k, your next seed recharge (same whether it was the same seed or not) will be 720k.

I have been doing barrows since before and after the prayer update (in fact before AND after the prayer drain rumour). I have noticed zero difference in drain rate in prayer (both of the cases my equipment and prayer level were identical). I used to always watch my prayer when i am hitting dharok, but after the same number of casts, my prayer level was left at the exactly same level. There i conclude that prayer drain rate has not been altered in anyway. This is unless +5 prayer bonus resulted in the prayer drain to remain the same before and after the update. If it were true however, it explains why prayer drain faster at low prayer bonus levels, but at high prayer bonus it should drain SLOWER.

gauntlets dont work with monkfish, Jagex said that themselves. The no burn level would be somewhere close to shark's no burn (w/ gaunts) level i'd imagine

Well we all know that the newest one is like Adamantite so following along with that we could guess Alcolyte would be Rune and then supposedly Partisan would be like Dragon. But that doesn't make sense because Jagex has constantly said "Dragon is the most powerful armor that does not require upkeep" so I'll bet Partisan will just be a level 50 defence. I'd want it to be a level 70 defence armor that's similar to Barrows. It could have a connection where a Temple Knight actually killed the Barrow Brothers and was working with the Evil Wizard who imprisoned their souls and whatnot. The armor could then be very strong but require an upkeep just like Barrows armor. Would be interesting to say the least (Bonus to fighting undead perhaps?). Considering that Dragon has to stay the best, Jagex won't change that, they may release Dragon full helm, kite or plate along with Partisan so that Dragon is still the best, I would expect full helm as Kite or plate would make half shield/chain drops worthless. Also if you read the Crumbling tomb, the Barrow Brothers were on SARADOMIN's side, why on earth would a Saradomist kill a member of their own? It sound more like a Zamorakian.

COMPLETELY FALSE!!!!!!!! A jagex mod confirmed that was untrue. Also, I did a study (a small one) comparing drain rates to a record of drain rates that I had a long time ago, and they were EXACTLY the same. That was a rumor that was spread on the runescape forums. It is completely false. Prayer is the same as it has always been. Jagex posted the prayer rate increase on the main page, and your insane if you cant tell the difference, my prayer drains a LOT faster now. I must be insane then I was doing barrows before AND after the Prrayer drain rumour was out, and all i noticed was this : NOTHING. My prayer drain rate remained identical with the same prayer bonus (I.E. the same 20 prayer drain after killing dharok). NOTHING has changed. There was no update saying the Prayer drain rate was increased, and a Jagex Mod CONFIRMED that the prayer drain rate was not altered. It was the same speed since i became members.

Few hints: 1. The Higher Defence Level, the better (saves money on food and p pots) 2. The Higher the mage Level, the Better (ESPCIALLY true for Slayer Dart, its damage increases with Higher Magic Level) 3. The Higher the Prayer level, the better (43 being the minimum, while I suggest getting it to 60's) 4. The Higher the ranged level, the better (Ahrim drops faster, 50 ranged being minimum, 70 recommended for Karil's Top and Bottom. Black D Hide is a cheap alternative, though has less mage def)

speaking of which: The old Initiate Armor has the same stats as mith armor except prayer, I think the new armor has the same as Addy armor (need confirmation). Maybe the next one has better prayer and same as rune armor?

by the way, the skirt is heavier than the legs by 1kg. i wonder if it is the same for all skirts and legs :(

you dont need the skill requirements to have the access to the fairy rings.

unless they are your personal collection : 1. Go back to the warrior's guild and get multiple rune defenders & throw away your addy defender 2. unless you are selling them, cut your uncuts. 3. ogre bow (you can buy it from rantz again if you decide to go for chompy hunting, since you dont have bellow, you are gonna have to visit his cave anyway).

Most expensive altar you can build in your house. using bones on the altar with incense burners (or better) gives 350% prayer bonus on the bone over burying.

Jagex said thet KC will NOT affect the chances of you getting a Barrow Item from the chest, however it will affect the other drops. If you do not kill any rats etc., you will not get anything bar deaths, chaos and minds (not too sure on 1/2 key and D med, but i doubt they will drop at 6 KC). Any higher kc can let the brothers drop bloods and bolt racks into the chest.

and to add on to the fairy ring suggestion, ONLY the Leech (lv 41) is worth killing, the others are a big waste of time. There is a respawn point for 41 very near the ring that the Guardians and walkers do not go near, just kill it as it respawns (dont worry, it respawns in seconds, literally) Also the Abyssal Demons in the fairy ring abyss are not aggressive, no need to worry about them,.

some ppl complain for the actual sake of complaining. They seem to forget that Jagex are ppl, not robots, and the complainers seem to want everything perfect (by perfect they mean give everyone party hats, which there would be complainers). Compared to other games like Diablo 2 or other MMORPG's, updates roll out like a roll of red carpet! (even then ppl complain they want yellow carpets -_-)

correct except the last part about def. It has no effect on the damage done to you.

Bank markers, and also if you keep your addy def but lose your only/last rune defender, you can just carry the addy def to the cyclops room and your next def will be rune.s
