You need to use Fungicide on the fungi in lost city (while with fingicide and fungicide spray in inv), then kill them normally, i think. I never fought them so i wouldnt know any more details. But they are certainly in Zanaris.

My character will lead the Women's Elite Squad of the army, outfit would be Tyras Helm Steel Plate Body/Chain body (Chain Body if archer) Steel PLate Skirt!!! Legends cape (if possible, otherwise Saradomin cape) Steel Boots Steel RFD gloves Weapons a mix of: Yew Long bow Steel Scimitar with Square Shield Steel Halberds Steel Longswords/[] Oh yeah we will tear through the khazard troops like not tomorrow and they will know what fear truly is  -
They indeed are, hence the big hype about them.

1. To make the tablet you need to have 1 soft clay and 1 set of Runes required for the teleport spell (staves can be used) 2. You can only make them in your house, and the Lecturn dictates what tablets you can make. 3. they are 1k ea as standard price.

If you consider the average to be one item in twenty runs then the probability of going 350 runs without an item is about 1 in 3.6 million. :) Back to the original question, I haven't done any barrowing just yet but this thread sure is making me think twice about it :) Thinking Twice? For long term money making maybe, but you should always try all minigames see if you like them (whisper in ear : you havent played Trouble brewing yet chen!). After all, you play the game to play right? I enjoy barrows so much that I can stay there for weeks (even tolerating the walk from Ecto to Barrows). Try it. And once you get good at it, you are guarenteed to make money every trip, even if it is just runes.

nice idea about the silver bolts, i really wanna see some of my 13k silver bolts actually put to good use. About the altar in space or something, i dont think it actuallt matter where the altar is positioned, because most likely people will get in through the abyss anyway, because it is most likely 10 minute stroll to the altar. -
Lately my barrow runs seem extremely strange. If i dont get 3 itens in 10 runs, i get nothing for at least 30 :-s

archive of wisdom has also some excellent guides on barrows.

Barrows For Lower Levels - ed 25 Oct 2006 (AOW discussion)

1. Drain is every 15 seconds or so, its roughly equal to 5 spell casts per drain. And yes it is 8 + (number of brothers killed this run) per intervals. 2. For speed, Melee to increase Kill Count is the best, mage is slow and bit wasteful 3. If your prayer level is low, then i would suggest it. Otherwise (60+), no. I have never personally used Holy wrench myself unfortunately because it didnt really matter to me. Try it first for a few runs, then run another few and see if they make a difference. -
Absolute Best Mage Outfit for the purpose of Mage Attack Bonus Alone: Head : Ahrim's Hood (~400k) Cape : Any God cape (free) Neck : Amulet of Fury (~4.7m) Right Hand : Master Wand (~4m i believe) Body : Ahrim's Robetop (~800k) Left Hand : Mage Book (~5m i think) Gloves : Final unlocked Gloves from Recipe for Disaster, aka Barrow Gloves (130k) Boots : Infinity Boots (~800k) Ring : Seer's Ring (~1m i believe?)

Not quite possible, KQ has no problems in landing more than 3 30's in 3 attacks. And KQ's attack lands FAR faster than Jad's, making it impossible to change prayers (which is the KEY to defeating jad). Most ppl who solo kq takes 2 trips. 1 melee gear to knock her out of the scarab form, then bank, range to finish the second form.
-
they are, But thing is that Combat level is about the strength (the damage that the monster is capable landing on you, the defence, hp level and the accuracy), not really about the attack styles of the monster in question. Of course KQ only hits in the 30's, but Jad, being twice the combat level, can hit up to 90's. The catch here is the differences in their attack style, KQ attacks are rapid enough that you dont have time to change prayer, but Jad is pretty sluggish Other things must also be taken into account : Jad is fought after 62 waves of tough monsters, and can only be reached there by that method, but KQ is close to bank and has drops.

When I Barrow, i can do 16 trips in about 4 hours (without ever hitting the bank). When I am lucky, I make 12m a day, but i usualy walk away with over 500k profit after the end of 16 runs. Thats about 125k an hour for me, not much, but I do enjoy barrows very much so as long as it is income, i dont really mind

Or can you? :shame: No actually you can't. Knitting certainly uses 2 needles, cant be done with only 1.

By the way, super heating the ore will result in the message 'You are not sure what effect will it have.' -
Barrowing 24/7 for me, i pratically made all my money on p2p BY barrows (perhaps some nats and Super Res farming, but its far far from the 7 spears) Otherwise Skilling for me, I hate not being able to utilize something i come across often or is currently sitting in bank (such as d stones or Black Hides).

Dont try cannoning in barrows if its your first time, because it was mentioned it is hard to reload safely. Oh and you cannot use Cannon down in the Tunnel. I have seen ppl with a Cannon, I timed it, it took me 2 brother kills on mage for him to cannon kill 1 brother. Yes you are very safe from the brothers but your runs are twice as low, and cannon balls are expensive.

barbarian outpost until say 45, then brimhaven until 48, then use ape atoll till 52 (you fail a lot, but still faster xp than anything you have open). After 52, use Wilderness until mid 60's, then head back to ape atoll until desired level (the highest pratical one is lv 81, the Taverly Dungeon [bleep]ed Blade Jump)

Wear Black Robes when paying in Cash. Bring Noted ess, Cash, 26 essences. Wear Black Robes and Air Tiara, go air altar, craft runes. Annouce open. They trade you 25 Essence, you pay 25 noted and 2k cash. Confirm trade, craft. Lather, rinse and repeat. It is better to keep PM chat off while doing this so you get 'tr4d3 m3h pl0x!' messages. Also you tend to get some runners asking are you crafting. A slight side effect but hey, its cheaper than World 66 laws.

Barrows For Lower Levels - ed 25 Oct 2006 (AOW discussion)

Oh good. I presume this strategy involves keeping the same outfit equipped throughout hence the balancing of stats from different sets? Maybe mystic boots and gloves for the mage? I'm figuring spade, super restore (maybe 2), two ppots, MSB, runes, and the rest monkfish. Thanks for the help. I must see about sorting my house out with an altar and portals. Exactly. Now For the gloves, If you have RFD gloves better than addy, use it. They beat Mystic Gloves to death with it. Also keep your mystic Boots on all the time. You shouls still carry say a Black D hide on you though for the mage, so you kill him quicker. Change back to normal outfit after (i suggest praying on Ahrim if you just gonna carry black d body). Other than that Good Luck and Have fun :D -
Train your Attack, it increasing Accuracy (if melee weapon), Ranged (if ranged) or magic (Magic attacks)

7 in 1200 runs :D

Barrows For Lower Levels - ed 25 Oct 2006 (AOW discussion)

If I may shed a bit of light on this matter for you : 1. Your Stats are fine for Professional barrowing (Not praying 24/7 down in the crypts), though you could struggle a bit. What I DO Suggest though is that you wear barrow armor, but mix and match them. I'll tell you what I mean. Helm : Torags or Farseer. Torag's helm worth around 300k, and has same defence bonus as Guthan's Helm, which is over 50 in all of its melee defence (or thereabouts). Farseer helm is if you feel splash too much, and want to replace it with something else. Ahrim's Hood is a choice, but tad bit expensive for that purpose. Body : Any melee barrow armor : Torag, Dharok AND guthan provide exactly the same stats, and are priced very very similarly (1m a piece). another good choice would be Brassard, Inferior Melee defence but Good prayer bonus. Not recommended until you are comfortable with it. Legs : There is ONLY 1 choice here, and thats Verac's Skirt. It costs 400k max (making it cheapest melee armor piece next to torag's helm), has the same melee def as torag and dharok legs, and gives +4 prayer bonus. Perfect for barrowing. Looks might not be the best, but hey, barrowing is for the money right? (EDIT : This is assuming you will NOT be heaing down in the tunnels with Guthan set) Do not pray on Guthan or torag when maging in melee armor, only use food down there, they dont hit nearly as often as the other brothers. Use food to substitute. This should save you 2. Try ahrim without prayer to see if you are comfortable with it. If not, go back to praying. And lastly, the higher the prayer, the better. helps to save p pots and allows you save bank trips more.
