  1. that would be a dueling ring, which could also technically work, but involves slightly longer run. Charged Glory usually go around 75-80k. Glory is also useful in a way that it helps in combat, ring of dueling cant.
  2. that would be YELLOW cape you are thinking about The reason, as far as i know about the Gloves, but not gold boots, is that Jagex made a mistake that they allowed the colored gloves to be on free (they didnt intend that at all), but they never corrected it, and left it as it is. So you can wear coloured gloves, but not color boots.
  3. So that you can teleport out. There is almost no way to make it off the island safely before you get the disguise other than teleport
  4. The general consensus that Having a D chain automatically put you into a higher class of wealth is completely and utterly ridiculous, because NOT every1 bought their D Chain, and even then not every1 has a lot of money left after the d chain. people think OMG D CHAIN! 500M B account!!! you only stake 100k?! LOL NOOB!!?11!11!!!111!1 No it doesnt work like that, having d chain only serves to prove that you have a d chain, it has no bearing on your actual wealth (other than saying that you have at least 22m in value), you can have a d chain and be penniless, and have a load of money but not having a d chain. Those who do think that wearing a d chain staking 100k is a noob is very much stereotypism, and is the root of 50% of all the problems on this planet. People NEED to realise that what you see is NOT always what you get!
  5. Jealousy is the most important part, since they dont want see themselves lower than anybody, so the verbally degrade the class of the person in question. Either that or else he has no regard whatsoever for another person's fun. Selfish person in other words
  6. World 91 is for nat running World 66 and 99 are for laws World 16 is for airs.
  7. The only way to get the Mahogany and Teak is either by the Minigame or from Miscellania, That's it
  8. bait is the Bait you use for fishing.
  9. Tell Jad that you need a replacement because your product is defective
  10. spicy worm, if i recall correctly, is used in the Fishing Contest Quest, and is obtained by Adding Spice to Bait
  11. go to each individual skill and search for the 1,000,000th ranked player, and look at their exp, if you go past that, then you will be ranked (most likely). The criteria for ranking, according to Jagex is the skill must be 30 or higher and must be in the top million. The highest low skill is farming, at lv 30 you get ranked 150,000's (or around that) :P
  12. For training, its ALWAYS Short on RAPID style. For arrows, pick between Bronze, Iron or Steel. I use steel personally
  13. the picture doesnt feel right for some reason, are you playing on low detail? That might explain it?
  14. since when was mage cheap??? +1, Mage is mega expensive kid (if done within a reasonable time frame). Since fletching ever went into being. one of the few reasons why yews are popular is because you can cut down on the cost of mage. Consider you buy all the things at the highest acceptable price (yew 300, String 200 and and nats 350, total 850), it is still less than 100 gp per cast, that means a little over 1gp per xp, which is much cheaper than any other skills.. Highest skill for me is fletching, then Mining 77. My most proud skill is probably 72 smithing though
  15. Implemented, except Canafis, which I will put into a "Area for consideration" page. Thanks
  16. a few times, the part where you need to take potion of courage to go down. fall damage is up to 40
  17. Iron ores are 100ea, iron knives are 35-40ea. rings of forging are about 5k ea maybe>
  18. barrows are unpredicatable anyway, thats why they are priced so high kill count only affects the runes you get from the chest, it doesnt affect the barrow item rates. And you have to kill the 6 brothers once each before you can fight them again. There will always be one that is a tunnel bro...
  19. This guide is specifically targeted at the new members, as per requested by Leesters on his Archive of Wisdom. This is still a draft and will need improvement. Any advice is welcome! Congratulations on becoming a member, I am sure you are thrilled to experience more of the game like I have. This guide is designed especially for those who just obtained members and need help in getting around, getting started on skills and all. Of course how you would enjoy the game is up to you, but you may find this guide a useful start. A. Areas you can explore immediately : 1. Camelot, Seers and Catherby : Camelot Teleport teleports you right outside the Camelot castle (the same Camelot as in the King Arthur and knights of the round table), and this is centre of commerce for non-world 2 worlds, as this place a popular place to train mage. To the west you will see Seer̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s, or fletcher̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s town. The reason why this city is popular for fletchers is because there are many trees around, from normal ones to magic trees, as well as the highly popular bow strings (the most convenient place to pick the flax and turn them into strings). Catherby is very well known for its farming spot and its fishing spots. If you remember how lobsert fishing is a nightmare, this will no longer be the case. The bank in catherby is very near to lobster spots. There are also a few quests coming in from these areas. 2. Castle Wars and Dueling arena : Castle Wars and Dueling Arena are few of the most popular minigames on runescape, and both can be reached by an enchanted Emerald Ring. Castle Wars is basically Capture the Flag Runescape style, and Dueling arena is like wrestling (:P). Due to the convenience of thse locations, you might want to give them a try. Immediately east of Castle Wars Arena, you will come to Yanille, which is where Mage guild is, and where members mine their beloved essence. The background music here is very nice, and is one of the first places I visited. 3. Ardougne : Initially Ardougne is a fairly long walk due to your lack of teleport (you need to finish Plague city to use its teleport), but once you get here, it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a large city where thieves go to work. The market centre is very popular for thieving training and free cakes, as well as fast access to Brimhaven on Karamja Island. Once you reach here, you may want to consider finishing Plague city quest. The fastest way to get here is by first Camelot teleport, and then walking south-west from the castle. 4. Taverly : Located west of Falador, this is the home to druids, and the quest for you to start Herblore. B. Skill starters : 1. Fletching : To start fletching, all you need is a knive, which can be bought in most general stores. Shantay in Al Kharid sells them too. All you need to do to start fletching is using a knive a log to make arrow shafts, and you are on your way. For further details, please see this 2. Herblore : To start Herblore, you need to complete Druidic Ritual quest, which can be started directly north of Taverly. This should be one of the quests you start. Further details can be found here 3. Thieving : To start thieving, you need to pickpocket lv 2 man or woman, with some food. The pickpocket option is visible if you right click on the man/woman. For further details, please see here. 4. Slayer : Slayer is slightly tricky to start because it involves killing monsters. The skill allows you to kill monsters that require a slayer level to kill (most of these monsters serves as kill for loot). To start slayer, all you need to talk to a slayer master to get a task. While you are on a task, and you kill a monster that is assigned as the task, then you will get experience in slayer. Further details can be found here. 5. Farming : Farming is a bit hard to start, and I do not recommend doing any until you have substantial teleportation abilities. If you are looking at how to start, read this thread 6. Agility : to train agility, you have to go to the Gnome Stronghold and use their agility training course there. The stronghold is hard to get to initially, so I recommend finishing the quest required to get you there quickly before starting to train. C. Starting quests : You might find it hard to choose what quest you should do first, and what quests you need to wield Dragon Scimitar. Here is a comprehensive guide of the most important quests I found once I started playing runescape :# 1. Teleportation Quests i. Plague City : allows the access to Ardougne teleport, very useful ii. Tree Gnome Village : Allows the use of teleportation trees, and faster access to Gnome Stronghold iii. Grand Tree Quest : Allows the access of Gnome Glider, very convenient to get to Gnome Stronghold with this iv. Priest in Peril, then Ghosts Ahoy : needed for the Ectophial, a very convenient form of uninterruptible teleportation in case you got into trouble. v. Recruitment Drive : Strictly not a teleportation spell, but allows you to choose Falador as respawn point rather than Lumbridge. vi. Watch Tower : Faster access to Yanille 2. Equip Quests (quests that allow you to wield certain equipment) Unfortunately due to quest and skill requirements, you probably wont be able to do most of these quests until later. i. Lost City : Allows the use of Dragon Long Sword and Dragon Dagger. Easy, fun and both are decent starting weapons. ii. Monkey Madness : Allows the use of Dragon Scimitar, one of the best Dragon weapon in the game iii. Hero̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Quest : Allows the use of Dragon Mace and Dragon Battle Axe iv. Legend̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Quest : Allows the use of Dragon Square Shield v. Regicide : Allows the use of Dragon Halberd D. Teleportation Methods : Below is a list of Member̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s only teleportation spells and items. These will prove valuable as most will allow you the access to bank when in urgent need : 1. Ring of Dueling (enchanted Emerald Ring) : Teleports you to either Castle Wars or Dueling Arena, your choice. Destroyed after 8 uses. To Teleport, right click on the Ring, and select "Rub", and then choose your desitination. 2. Game Necklace (enchanted Saphire Necklace) : Teleports you to Burthorpe Games room. Burthorpe is located north of Taverly. Mostly used for access to Hero̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Guild. Destroyed after 8 uses. To Teleport, right click on the Necklace, and select "Rub", and then choose your desitination. 3. Ectophial : Teleports you straight to Ectofuntus. I call it Runescaper̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s panic/eject button, as it teleports you to safety. Needs Ghosts Ahoy quest, and is depleted after 1 use. You can recharge it immediate at the Ectofuntus by just using the empty phial on it. To teleport, just click on it. 4. Amulet of Glory : the most frequently seen Amulet, it teleports you to Edgeville, Karamja, Draynor Village or Al Kharid. Depleted after 4 uses, recharge at Hero̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Guild (need Hero̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Quest). Very convenient teleport item. To Teleport, right click on the charged Amulet, and select "Rub", and then choose your desitination. 5. Enchanted Lyre : Teleports you to Relleka, and is also uninterruptible by combat. Needs Raw shark/Sea Turtle/Manta Ray to recharge. Needs the Fremmenik Trials to use. To teleport, just click on it. 6. Ardougne Teleport spell : need Plague City to use, teleports you to middle of the market place in ardougne. 7. Watchtower Teleport : Needs Watch Tower quest, acts like Yanille Teleport, teleports you to top of the Watch Tower in Yanille. 8. Trollheim Teleport : Need Edgar̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Ruse quest, teleports you to top of the Trollheim Mountain 9. Ape Atoll teleport: need to save Awowogei in Recipe of Disaster, teleports you to the altar in the Temple on Ape Atoll. E. Interesting member̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s features : 1. Treasure Trail : while slaying a few monsters, you may be lucky enough to encounter a clue scroll. You are lucky because you have just started the treasure trail minigame. Treasure trails will vary in difficulty (lv 1, 2 and 3), and the treasure you find in them will also reflect that. For details, please refer to here. 2. Ancient Magicks : If during your adventure, you see a mage casting a spell that you have never seen before, such as casting an Ice spell, or seeing a lot of purple boxes from the sky around a person, then you have seen someone with Ancient Magicks. This is a reward from the quest Desert Treasure, and is designed to increase the power of a mage in combat. They succeeded at that as you can do up to 270 damage total in one cast. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s expensive and the quest is pretty tough. Further information can be found here 3. Abyss : This is one of the most important features of membership, since it is a very popular money making method, and is based on the skill of runecrafting. To use it, you must first head to Edgeville, and head north into the Wilderness, and around the Steel mines, you should see a Zamorak Mage. Talk to him, and he will tell you to talk to him in varrock. He will be waiting for you near the altar south of Aubury's Shop. Complete the small task he asks, and he will grant you access to the Abyss. The Abyss is a faster, but riskier access to the Altars. You will be able to access the altar of your choice by exiting the abyss through the designated exit, more details can be found here . However be advised that, since this place is in the wilderness, there would be many Player Killer's (PK's) waiting around the route to the mage. The way they get their kill is by Teleblock/Entangle Combo. Entangle holds you in place for 15 seconds, while teleblock stops you from using any sort of teleportation for 5 minutes (spells or items, they will both be disabled). During this time, you will be unable to move anywhere and the mage will then run up to you and kill you pretty fast with a few Dragon Dagger Special attacks. Be careful with them, especially because you probably will have no prayer and skulled. 4. Barrows : This is another one of member's most popular features. This game is based on "Kill and Loot" concept, except the kill bit is quite difficult for those who are unprepared. The idea is that you go through each of the crypts that the Barrow Brothers are buried in, and kill them. One of the brothers will be in a tunnel, guarding a treasure chest that is to be looted. The rewards for this minigame include runes, cash and if you are lucky, Barrow Items. Barrow Items are the best items in the game, even superior to that of the legendary dragon items, though they need to be maintained by cash every now and then. Below is a list of guides that will help you in playing this minigame, but READ EVERYTHING before attempting these. They do not come without a cost. Tip It's Barrows Guide Satenza's Low level Barrow guide 5. Mage Arena : One of the few less popular minigames due to the decline in popularity of the so-called god spells (Saradomin Strike, Claws of Guthix and Flame of Zamorak, all lv 60 magic spell), but is also the only place where you can get the god capes. God capes have the best magic attack and defence bonus for a cape in the entire game, and is freely replacable when you die. Take heed that this Arena is in lv 55 wilderness and is thus susceptible to pk'ers. The best way to get there is by a lever in Ardougne (west near the large gate), which teleports you quite near to the Arena (BRING A KNIVE). Further information can be found here F. Precautions and advises : 1. Prayer : You would probably have low prayer level due to its difficulty in training on free servers and the lack of need for them. However in members, prayer is an EXTREMELY important skill to have, as frequently you have to fight monsters many levels above you, and the only way you can survive these is by using prayer. Learn to use these prayers both in game and in person. They can mean life or death of 500k worth of equipment. 2. Teleportation : always carry some sort of teleportation (preferably uninterruptible ones) when going into some unknown lands. It will save you walking, and sometimes save you actually. 3. Wilderness : When you go into the wilderness, you must assume that you are prepared to lose everything you have on your possession. Wilderness is a much more dangerous place on members than free, because of its increased population as well as Mage (teleblock/entangle, which will stop you dead and you can't get out). A good counter measure is to train your defence and magic up so you are more resistant to attacks. At any rate, you MUST assume that you are prepared to lose everything, otherwise AVOID it. 4. Account Security : I know you heard this one before, but it is even more important for a member̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s account to be safe. Make sure you read the security guides to increase your security of your account, and your money! Other than that, I have nothing else to say for the moment. I hope enjoy your stay and hope you enjoy your new game! EDIT 1 : Minor editing changes EDIT 2 : Added Barrows, Abyss and Mage Arena and implented a few changes Credits : imaerehw14
  20. precise place would be on top of the food shop, there are 2 lonely archer monkeys, put on your ranged prayer and own them, their bones work perfect
  21. the mage page didnt have a scroll bar before, the last spell on the page was charge, and that was probably when maging was quite bad (best outfit being zammy robes...), when mystics and teleblock was introduced, that changed. abck on the topic, i cant recall what spell was added that induced the scroll bar, though i think it was bones to peaches
  22. I am not totally sure if you actually need to have those skills for the lyre to drop, but, although i have the skills (just didnt bother), i killed some fremmy guys for the lyre. i think i got mine after 6 kills. its worth a try
