Lava Staff = Lava Battlestaff. Normal Lava Staff does not exist, and they CANNOT be made (that includes both NPC and players) nor changed into or from, they are only monster drops. And they are not that rare, because they are at most 100k. Thormac only changes the Battelstaff versions of those to a Mystic One. He does not change the Element of the Staff. the bes thing you can make with oak planks is usually good bet. make sure it has the highest number of planks required and nothing else. Nails are also not needed for many of the oak plank furniture, dont know if its intentional or mistake
