1. Verac set is only for high levels, for lower levels you still need to pot to verac them efficiently. 2. Magic Dart is the spell to use, because it breaks even with the chest (as long as you have around 10 kc), thus runes is not a problem there. Prayer pots isnt not too hard to buy in large quantities (100 lasts quite a while).

What is affected by kill count and what is not is yet to be fully analysed, but it has been proven that excessively high KC is not beneficial.

A few guys love the tablets, so i would suggest that to be included (needs a high construction level to make them yourself though) you could buy them, but right now they are a tad bit expensive. if one has the con level or has the access to the tome, it is strongly adviced.

Those who wants to level construction will reach it someday, and once they reach it, they will unlikely be spending anymore cash into construction. Those who thinks construction is a waste of money, they will continue alching as normal. Of course there is a money sink now, but the size of the pipe is shrinking the money making rate is making its way back up, until gain = drain. The prices wont go back to what it used to bem but it will be close to it, because Construction, though a money drain, its not continuous (only temporary), thus will only have a temporary effect. If they really wanted to do something about it, they should introduce very high level equip (for lv 80 or so stats), but much more expensive to maintain than barrows, as well as much more expensive to obtain (like i mean 5m per fix or something, but have definitely superior stats and effects than barrows).

go to the general p2p forum, there is a sticky called Archive of Wisdom by Leesters, check there, it has a lot of player made guides, including barrows.

thus we can safely conclude that in order for Blood Runes and Bolt Racks to appear, one must kill something besides the brothers....

The above are my first 14 runs processed so far The results, albeit small sample, suggest that the Kill Count links to the drop rate of Bolt Racks and Blood runes. So far (all 6 KC), none of these have appeared... I will do more trips to confirm.

the only thing that matters for a barrow drop is the number of brothers you have killed up to the point of searching the chest (what does the kill count actually does is still in the air, hopefully satenza's experiment will give us a clue). If you have killed only say 5 of the brothers, then the barrow drop rate will drop proportionally.

there are also a few things i am suspecting: Rune Drops has been reduced, i am getting MUCH less runes than usual, like it was taking me maybe 30 runs to get 1k bloods and decent amount of chaos, but now 10 runs, not 1 blood and all chaos rune has been lower than usual.... Maybe because of the Home altar and portal made the barrow brothers more stingy? :? can any pro barrow runners confirm this?

Is it just me or has the lesser melee brothers (Torag and Guthan) become more accurate than usual? I have been consistently hit for high in melee armor nowadays (while wearing the same armor before didnt have such a high hit rate) any help would be helpful

even when i do dangerous things, i have lapses of lack of attention. let's see... allowing my prayer to run out just before dharok died, and then his final blow landed a 56... and of course it was a draw, but it was in his favor... Though when i am in wildy, i pay full attention because i am usually transversing in the lv 50 area, so i wanna try and avoid the chaos elementals (not pkers, because they dont hurt as much, and i waste their runes =p)

one of the ways that have been mention before is use a lava staff, go to the mage training arena, and then to the enchantment arena with about 10k cosmics, enchant until you get really tired.. Either that, or switch back to normal magic and cast charge repeatedly, 180xp per cast. (i think you can repeat cast it)
