guthan is useful when you can actually HIT anything. KBD and Barrows have insane melee def so i wouldnt recommen guth for them, verac would be a wiser choice (the prayer bonus is also very useful)

get mage higher, up to near ranged level because it also provides (i think most of it) magic protection. If you have lv 25 mage, even if you wear dragonhide, you would still get hit quite often by higher mages.

to be really technical, the greater demons in the Gu'tanoth caves are the easiest monsters, because they literally cant touch you. be sure to bring some telekinetic grab runes so you can grab some of those clues and rune larges as loots.

though it is possible to wear dragonhide chaps and vambraces without any defence level (not the body, which need 40 def), just ought to let you know

i am assuming that you are entering a tunnel east of rellekka. Yes there are mountain trolls in that tunnel, but if you see them you are already going the wrong way. Once you go into the cave, the entrance is directly infront of your character when he/she goes into that tunnel. thats the entrance to keldagrim.

tip it uses the average hit xp (xp you would get if you hit 6 points of damage) it is pretty reasonable

from my experience, mining is a good way to go. get to 15, hoard about 1k iron ores and sell them 100ea on world 1. then get a rune pick, continue mining until you get to lv 60, then start coal
