Ok, to make a long sobbing sotry short: I need stews to get to my extremes, and I am at the point where I need to have my cat catch 8 evil rats or sth. Atm though I am totally pissed off, angry and just totally fustrated with that catching the rats [cabbage]. I tried catching the evil rats for like 15 mins, no luck, then went on to do the ratcatchers quest, hoping that would speed things up a bit. - now I've been in the frikin sewers for a solid 30 minutes and the little bastard has managed to catch 1 freaking mouse!! Aside from regular questing, that must be the most annoying stuff to do on this whole game. I am seriously considering on buying herb 91 because this [cabbage] is just ridiculous. SO my question is, am I doing something wrong here?! Any tips on how to catch the little bastards would be highly appreciated! (need to catch like 8 of the hellrats, and at the speed of what I am getting regular rats now.......well I can make enough money by pickpocketing men for herb 91 before I can catch 8 of them damn rats) I have a kitten if that is of any importance.

Hi everyone! Ok, so my goalis to get to overloads eventually but first thing is just getting to extremes. Now, I am gonna hit 84 with my regular pots and effies. My main question is about the stews, I'm fairly certain I'll be able to stew my herbing up a bit with help from the tip.it website, but I've read on the forums, that there is some kind of trick to keep the bonus up from the stew for longer, so how do I do that? PS! Should I make my 4,5k super energies into spec restores as well or sell them and make some other pots?

I rarely use combat familiars anymore. I'd say that if you Piety then combat familiars without a scroll don't really have any use, except maybe Spiritual Mages, but you kill them so quickly anyhow.

By the time you got slayer 93, you have what 3k points? I know I had like 3,2 and I only did smoking kills at slayer 82 or sth. So, get the ability. I mean 2k points' money value is at 4-5 mil? (slayer dart) which is kinda 1 SOL, and I hardly think you can or want to block so many tasks that you use up all of your slayer points.

+1 for that! I got my SS at slayer 93 Definetly above all else - get 68 summoning.(except for Smoking kills quest and a slayer helm, that should be your number one priority) I have charms for 88, but not getting it yet, putting money into herbing because a bunyip covers all my needs for slayer. Just my 5 cents - always train supper potted, and if in need of cash do clues, if not in need, don't do them - distraction from slayer, slows your xp.

Heh, toally messed up, sorry. If you're serious about slayer use Duradal for sure, larger tasks = more slay xp.

There is no difference in the way you look at it on the ground. You have to pick it up and, in some cases, read it, before you can know whether it's elite. [cabbage]...gonna pick every one up from now on a read it...

Yea, I do have slay lvl to do all the best monsters and I do the tasks as well, with the exception of steel drags. And I don't pick up regular clues at all... OK, sorry for hijacking the topic, but does the elite clue say something different than just clue scroll? Because if it does, I haven't gotten any, but if by looking at the drop on ground, you can't make out the difference....then maybe i've gotten a bunch and just didn't know it.

And I have done like 1,3 mil slay xp since they came out, and I am yet to receive an elite clue. I'd say the're pretty rare.

Just play the game and keep the F off other people's business. I LOVE my Ranged cape, I'm gonna love my Trimmed HP cape even more, and yes, i am gonna wear it everywhere. I'm probably gonna wear my slayer, att, def, str etc etc, capes even more. Don't rain on other people's parade, just because you don't have one.

I always use a combat familiar there as well, maybe it's just me, but if you can save time even say by 20 spiritual mages for the whole task, that's definately time for a herb farming lap, which is always nice. I use an obsidain golem, cause my summoning is low, I set the quick option to call and every time I engage a mage, I call my golem (otherwise they tend to get stuck pretty easily there, depending where you're kiling them), and they do hit sometimes, so it is nice, per task i use 1-2 golems.

Haha :D Well the truth is, sometimes I do need it, sometimes I dont, but it's nice to have it just in case, i usually fill up on herbs, runes, rune items (tasks of 200+). I mean a terrorbird is 500 gp....you grab one kwuarm and it's all good + you don't have 2 leave your cannon there. I mean really, 500 gp, cant hurt can it?

Barrows has not worked for me... :) But I always do items that are traded a lot, food items, raw materials and such. Been making a constant 4-6 % on my money, except on the barrows... didnt buy, finally got them, now they wont sell :P.

Traverly dungeon - you can do a task in an hour. Definately cannon, eagle eye and range with either darts/knives/shortbow. If you go into the tunnel then in the southwest corner is a big pillar, you can set your cannon up on just the west side of the pillar, so you'll be safe from most black demons (if you move around, some will pass through). Range pot up, collect the charms, effies and such and let it rip. I usually take a terroorbird pouch which I summon when my inv is full.

There's a really good guide in the AOW in the general guides section which is ofet overlooked. There's a great video there that sums up exactly how to go through the waves. - How and when to safespot etc. And yea, like said before, you can prob do it easily with like 6 brews and the rest either all restores or restores + pray pots. With my stats I get 6 brews, 7 restores and the rest pray pots. I have a laggy connection but i get to Jad every time - where I also die every time. :D So, check out the video how and when to safespot. (if the 90's spawn with the 360's always eagle eye and take out the 90's first, you can even do it while running from 180's but you usually get them out in 2-4 hits, before the otherones get to you.)

I've done pures and main, I'd suggest keep your main with the money and stuff, you're gonna need a money maker skill on your pure as well, prob the best bet in f2p would be mining (or that's what I do on my pure anyway). So whenever you get lonely you can work on you main, I have a pure in f2p and a main on p2p, works out great. :)

Mageing them is a pain and it is also slower. with your stats definately melee and use best pots and prayers

You don't get 50 herbs per run and at your lvl you know that. The guide says 30 herbs... and I average between 27-32 per 4 patches when no herbs die. BTW, great guide! I always turn back to it whenever I take up farming again, one of the best skill guides I've seen, if not the best.

Got to Jad very easily yesterday, then he just came and ran over me while I tried to lure him. I have never used sounds on RS so I couldn't really figure out what attack he was gonna use, it all sounded like Magic to me :D + I lag a little. Anyone have any helpful tips? - I'm gonna start the caves again now, and be4 Jad I'm gonna come through here to see if anyone had some ninja tips for me. :P [bleep] my crappy internet connection... my fight cave log so far: 1. panicked at Jad, got killed 2. lagged on wave 62 after taking a break, put on wrong prayer died 3. lagged on Jad got wasted omfg, i hate it when I cant complete a goal in RS! And it's not that i can't because I dont understand, its the [bleep]ing internet. FFS

Got to Jad easily with like 18 doses of brew and 34 doses of super restores left... Then didint understand which sound was for which attack at all, and just got run over by him... [bleep]ing [cabbage]. Now I'm too tired to keep going, popped some 13M into flipping and gonna go hit the sack. I'm gonna do fight caves now with your guide, about time with 93 slayer.... I'll let ya know how I did. It's my second time trying, first time was ages ago, only got to the first 360's had no idea what I was doing. :D
