My second char (purekilljoy atm), started out as a rune pure. Named it because ladykilljoy was such a legend in rsc wildy. Good times.

Stayed up all night on my summer holiday, must have been like year 2001 or sth. Was on karmija all that time. Clicked on fishing spot all night long. Dont remember if i banked or not. But training fishing as awesome. The ofc trading lobsters, swordies and tunas into certs at draynor village!!

As far as XP goes. I got from 1 to 81 in about 2 weeks. (only used 10 peng points, got most of my xp in w117) Granted there were a couple of weekends when I played like 4-6 hrs. I'd say that DNG gets faster at around 70-75, the first 50 lvls are just grinding and out right painful. Keep an eye on DG Sweepers chat after you get over 70, sometimes they do low floors and you can expect to get 2-4x the xp that you would get in w117. Read through the DNG guide in AOW, it'll help you a lot. Make sure you take time to learn the basics, the thing that pissed me off the most was that ppl even in lvl 80+ didn't know how and why to gate doors and that it really isn't a great idea to make a full set of armour or bring along a worldbearer or whatever. So in essence: Learn the basics, do your first ~70% of floors on c1 or c2(fishing) and last 30% do in large or med if possible, grind through the low lvls and once you get to dnging with DG Sweepers it's all smooth sailing.

Unless you're specifically planning to hunt dragons there'll be no need to get over 2k. Even 1k will last you for ages

Quick question on weapons. Atm I got prom 2h bind. I occasionally get the odd primal drop from bosses. Which primal wep should I bind instead of prom 2h?

Yeah. It took me around 40M to for 2,7mil xp on BXW. So just keep on griding, making money, getting herbs and wait for a BXW or get like 80M and do it now.

If you are definately gonna slay, then you should work on your farming, it helps a ton in terms of covering your costs when powerslaying. I only started farming at around 90ish slayer, but should have done it a lot earlier. Plant herbs between tasks, maybe like 5-10 mins depending on your herb run speeds.

Yeah, that's what you'd think... That's exactly the problem, 2 of the guys had 80+ DNG. and the guy who knew what he was doing was lvl 70ish. Ohwell, whatever, just keep on grinding. Sometimes there are some good teams in w117 or 148 as well. Just lately it feels like I've been stepping on landmines all the time. :)

Additional note on DG Sweepers - should have never done floors with u guys. I did 3 floors or smth with u guys. Before that I was on 117 and 148, perfectly ok with the slow times there. Now I am just angry all the time - well 80% of the time anyway. Was keying a floor with 120-130's yesterday f28 c6, out of those 4 other guys 1 knew how and why gate doors when I ask them. And that was the random guy I had keyed with before and I knew he knows how to gate doors....

Depends what you mean by specifically hunt. You should definitely kill every night spider you see. What I mean by specifically hunting is C6 soloing 30ish floors (cant remember the exact lvls which were reccomended, but I read it in the AOW guide) with the intention to keep on doing that untill I get a hood from night spider. Atm I kill every spider I see, but it seems like I can only find 1-2 spiders per floor.

Should I specifically hunt for a hood or no? Atm I got prom 2h and plate bind + laws.

Fun is sujective, that whole thing I said is my subjective opinion and so is your opinion btw. OP: Don't sell them, you're better off with them (if you slay and have spec restores. No spec weapon as useful as claws.) If you use them it's not a decline per say, it's depreciation. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise!! :roll:

Hate to swim against the tide... BUT, if u slay keep them. I got them for the sole purpose of spamming spec restores and clawing my tasks. After gettign extremes I'd say they were one of the best investment I ever made into my slayer stuff. They add a lot of DPS over time + they are just so darn fun!! Without spec restores i don't even know why any1 would use them, but with spec restores + slayer, definately a good investment.

And if you are training ranged (especially while slaying) use knives or darts. Preferrably rune darts/knives or addy knives.

Don't drop your stuff. Just quit for now. I've been playing since 2000. Took like 3 years off after rs2 came out. Now i actively lay maybe 2-3 months in a year. As soon as i get bored I'll take a break again. But thereare a ot of good memories with this game for me. So it is good to come back every once in a while. :)

I would go with 5k cause that would help you for some time... But 3k will keep you occupied as well. I never go to a task without 8-10 spec restores. Claws + spec restores = fun times.

Had the great opportunity to DNG with 2 guys from DNG sweepers like 10 hrs ago. We did 30-31 lrg floors in less time than it took me to do 27 with 4 ppl yesterday. Gonna have a real hard time running around with the idiots in w117 now :D Ohwell, all the more reason to bump my DNG up even faster. Really getting to enjoy the skill a lot more now as well. Might even be my next favourite to Slayer, farm and herb. :o GJ on the new keyer!

Another question concerning xp for DNG pros: I am currently only doing w117, because I can do only up to 31 floors and prob still have a lot to learn until I can go trhrough efficiently enough that you pro's wont want to kill me after every dungeon. Question is: Taking into account that some of the W117 teams are ofcourse total [cabbage] and some are better, in terms of xp/h, should I do my last 5 floors med or large? (atm i am only doing last 5 floors on c6, other ones I will just rush - is that reasonable?)

On topic of the juju potions. For juju potions I would need 74 hunting right? Cause the ingredients r unbuyable? IF that is the case, then no way in hell for jujus. I am pefectly at ease with my hunter and construction at lvl 1, enjoying other aspects of the game way more. So my plan is not to train any skills that are lower than lvl 2. If i can get jujus at these lvls I would be happy to do that.

Ok so the question is simple enough: I am looking on adding into my cashpile by being more effective with my herb running. So at my farming lvl (will be 84 and a little short of 85 by the end of BXW) which herbs should I be farming for the most GP gain. - Torstols, Snaps orsome other? I have scroll of life, no juju potions and I am not going to get any other stuff in addition to what I have. What I was thinking was torstols at Trollheim pach and then snaps, dwarf weed or sth like that on other paches. So taking account th dying rate and the odd seeds I get back from scroll of life. Should I do highest at trollheim and other patches snaps. Or should I just go all out Torstols/Snaps? I would highly appreciate if anyone has factual data/numbers on it, if not, then your personal experience works great as well. :)

I never said magic is useless. Just saying that for OP at 79 mage and 56 herbing he should not be mageing anyhow. My mage is too low to be effective as well. As far as ranged goes, cannoning black demons and using knives+eagle eye is the quickest xp possible. And if u have access to kuradals dung then using rune darts/knives on greater demons is comparable to melee stats (assuming you're not usin extremes). Why would we get into discussing that at all? :D Like I said- at OP's lvls he doesn't need ahrims, torags, guthans :P

You rarely have any use for barrows items except karils for waterfiends, ahrims (if u mage slayer tasks - which u shouldnt) and veracs bottom. You should be pietying all tasks, so prossy top and veracs skirt renders pretty much all other gear useless. And yea, keep up DNG, i just started last week, the first .... -40 lvls were absolutely horrible. Now I'm getting the hang of it, and it is getting better.

For the first 10 mins I got 5 palm trees, 2 magics, 3 yews to check on. WHich should net me around 270k xp, so that'll be nice. Then got enough unf pots banked for 91 herb, so i'll be grinding them [bleep]es out. After that I'm prob too sick of playing RS so I'll just call it a weekend.
