This month we will see the first ever: GRAND MASTER quest. Just thought I'd put a bit of emphasis on that, I wonder if it's the actual biggy quest though? And for the first time ever Jagex will be celebrating a non-united kingdom event: Thanksgiving :o I'm sure the quest will be right up my street but this month seems very meh-ish to me.

That is lame! Sorry to hear about your waste of cash :( It really should be 15 mins of combat, just generally wearing it is no where near enough time to even make it truly viable for pking! The PvP armour is a bit of a let down.

I've always wanted to know exactly how long I've been playing RS for, and today I logged into my 2nd ever character I made (Lukarachi), not only is it a 9HP account but it also has the earliest date I've found so far for recovery questions: Edit - Decided to remove my pic since it has my IP :oops: February 28th 2002, I've been playing a little bit longer that I expected :ohnoes: I must of set up my first account late January or early February meaning I only missed the xmas crackers and party hats by a matter of a couple of months #-o

They've always been there. well not exactly...one of them is a monk/mage with a hood, but the other one is the grim reaper bcuz that use to be a bald head bust, but now it has a hood. They may of changed a bald headed bust, but the thing is those 'hooded warrior' statues have been around since the dawn of RS2, I really can't see a connection to the Grim Reaper, we've seen both the incarnations of the Grim Reaper in RS and in both occasions he has never looked like that. If anything, it looks like Turael, therefore I declare we are actually going to see an update where Turael takes over RS! People are placing too much effort into trying to make this real when so far everything has been shot down. And regarding the tiling at the G.E, for all those sort of things if you want something to be there, you tend to be able to make it so, as soon as it was mentioned that it looks like a bear, I see a bear, I also see a pumpkin head, and a devil, and a palm tree...so yeah.

oh god theme park sucked get rid of him now warhammer 40k is the only really well known game on that list And Syndicate was a god of a game! And Dungeon Keeper was rather peachy. I think Runescape will benefit from him, primarily in the department of trying to make updates to runescape involving and engaging, something that I seem to not find in Runescape now :(

Dharok's Platebody and Torag's Platebody are perfect examples of plate bodies that don't cover elbows.

A Theory: So far any 'possible' shot of the Dragon Platebody being worn by a female (character with the slayer cape, the woman in the runescape banner), the arms are not covered. However in any 'possible' shot of the Dragon Platebody being worn by a male (character on White Knights Castle bridge, doing battle with the Corporeal beast), the arms are covered. Theory Like with most armours, the gender of the character causes a change, Chainmails are different, Torag's platelegs, Verac's Helm etc. In the case of the Dragon Platebody, female players arms are not covered, whilst males are. The first shots of the dragon platebody have been on female characters, the reason - to make people think it's just a Dragon chainbody, cause debates, speculation and...hype! I don't recall any cache images ever showing differences between male and female items, so to some degree, Jagex could merely add it for speculation by releasing the 'female' version, and then eventually add in-game screenshots of the 'male' version to cause debate and/or contradictions. These pictures have been appearing over several months now, and Jagex are starting to show the 'male' version of the armour. I expect Jagex will release more clear pictures of the platebody to 100% confirm it, and soon after that it will be released. I'm betting it will be released somewhere along with or before the big Quest, I'm thinking it'll be available to us before the end of January.

Probably nothing this week, but a double whammy of a quest and the Halloween event next week maybe. edit - actually it may come this week, I think they have done a halloween event a week earlier. They normally last roughly 2 weeks so if it was this week it would finish the first full week of November.

Not saying you're wrong, but why isn't the splitbark red then? It has hints of red in it. We won't be getting blue robin hood hats. It's just to show the standard Red vs Blue, just to give the hint of PvP. If you look at the Blue team's warrior his plate has a blue trim at the bottom and his helm has a blue plume. The Red Ranger has Red D'hide however it's not the correct shade. The Red Splitbark armour has a red trim on the arms, legs and helmet. They are not future items, they are just recolourings, think of the them like the armour that Zamorak warriors have, they have red Guthan Helm's, and the spiritual warriors have red Dharok Platebody's. They are just there to look nice, chances are we'll never get them.

If I remember correctly, Jagex PLANNED to do music skillcape and it's emote would have been the Air Guitar, but they decided not to do the cape for some odd reason and did just the emote... Unlocking 500 pieces of music should not be considred a "SKILL". Therefore a skillcape would be stupid. But if the cape required the unlocking of every single song, and having to constantly get the new songs unlocked to use the cape then it wouldn't be stupid! In my opinion to be able to unlock Victory Is Mine is worthy of skill cape alone :lol: I cannot seem to get hold of a challenge scroll.

The Mahjarrat who fought in the God Wars are the ones mainly responsible for Dragon armour and weapons coming into Gielnor. Once they died, humans picked up the dragon gear and used it in battles, it was when these humans got defeated by powerful monsters that the gear started to get passed around monsters.

Imagine ranged ones at Ape Atoll :ohnoes: I was also thinking of the firemaking ones, burning magics in the wildy with a ring of fire for added exp.

I can definitely see some sort of change, although I have no idea what will happen. Possibly make them 'rarer' drops, make them repairable and potentially use them on non-pvp player worlds but knocking down their stats a bit? At the moment the armour is pretty much useless, the weapons seem great, but considering the use of the armour it's not really viable to risk them on pvp, not when you only need a mere 75k's worth of items on you to potentially get good drops.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, but there are no str boosting armor in f2p other then berserker shield (which would be a waste). I think having rune gauntlets + str ammy along with a rune scimmy would provide all the str bonus an f2p player would need to do some good-ish damage to one another when they have no armour on. I didn't recommend the shield since it would simply be a waste. If you can just stalk the nurse and if she has a right click option? Then you can just camp for ages next to her.

It would be great if you knew the topic title was edited. Using void is still mentioned in his post too! Now on topic, yes it would be quite a good place to go to train combat between friends on f2p. Neither has to wear armour, just use a rune scimmy, maybe rune gauntlets and a strength armour and slash and heal away.

I was going to post this straight away but I couldn't find this topic, only that other one with the cache screenshots and Rarex trying to take all the credit. I find this one interesting because it shows that the platebody does cover the arms, yet various other shots show it doesn't :S

Hmm, wonder if these items can be repaired like barrows? Looking at the GE prices I don't know anyone rich enough to spend 10m for 1 hour of combat to increase their max hit by 1. :oops: Probably wouldn't use them in PVP worlds either due to lasting such a short period of time. My clan's Homeworld just got owned. :( PVP now lol. Looks to be two versions of each set. So there is a Corrupt set available (although with a shorter time span). If you have access to that armour personally then perhaps you should also be obtaining better loot which could pay for them in the long run.

Yes it does alter the further you go into the wildy, I was with a level 92 and she stopped following me as she was getting closer to my combat range :lol: It isn't a bug as far as I'm aware, it's said somewhere on the PvP World knowledge base guide, perhaps it is determined via decimals rather than whole numbers.
