  1. The lighter portions of the sky need to be blended better i.e. dithered. The ground is really boring. The head on the phat guy is not centered on the shoulders. The dithering at the bottom of the phat guys's skirt is too obvious.

  6. Shaded some of the Hydralisk.
  7. Blend the render and the BG. Use brushes. Choose an appropriate BG, this one makes it harder to see the details in the darker render. Do more than one thing on each sig. Seriously it's the same thing I said about your tomb raider sig :?.

  9. i know probly a nooby question but wuts dithering? 1. Look at a tutorial because it can explain it much better than I can. 2. Here's something I've been working on (StarCraft \) that uses a lot of dithering. If you zoom in on the red portions of the marine you see the zig-zag pattern of two colors like this: ...@...@...@...@ @...@...@...@...@ That's dithering.
  10. I shaded the skin for the Zealot. It's hard to get a good scal effect that doesn't make the scales too big but I gave it a go. Tell me what you think.
  11. Don't use colors that are too different. Smoothly change colors a little bit will make your shading better. Also, start by coloring the highlights (brightest areas) of the object you're going to shade. Continues surrounding the highlights with darker colors to get the desired effect. Also, dithering is your friend in blending colors but don't overuse it. IT's a blend, not a way to create a whole new shade. More than 1 layer of dithering usually becomes noticable ot the eye.
  12. The wall on the right looks fine to me. The rune is too dark as is the mask, though I do like darker sigs. The biggest problem that I can see is that the people are in profile which makes for a boring and flat looking sig. Also the cape isn't flying out realistically nor is the whip.
  13. Redid the hydralisk but I'm having trouble with the colors for the fleshy bits.
  14. I agree. The school is too square and the lines arcoss it don't look good. The person is really good though.

  16. Yeah, I think I'm going to redo the hydralisk or make it something else. I want space at the top to put a title though.
  17. Ow, playing a guitar with no fingernails :x Anyways, looks good. Looking at the title I thought it was just a guitar doing it's own self -portrait :lol: IMO the head is a bit too round. I've found heads to be more square or cubic than spherical (oooh geometry words :) )The hair is wierd I think because it sticks right to the head, stemming from the problem mentioned before.

  19. Heh heh heh gigity gigity......................nooooooo! Quagmire ins't impressed! All flaming aside, it looks really boring. Basic BG with no brushes, single layer, bad text and effects on the text, and it doesn't really have a point, nothing is emphasised.

  22. Excellent job for a beginner. Your shading needs work (but at least you have it). Try dithering the armour on the character. The anatomy of the guy is wrong but in a very cartoonish way so it's not bad. The torn page border is excellent. All you really need to work on is abit more shading to make thins look 3D.
  23. Updated!! Shading on Zealot armour is complete. Still having trouble with the skin colors and texture.
  24. Hydralisk, and yeah, It was the first one I did so I might need to work on it. Kinda hard now though with everything in front of it. :?
