  1. I think you misunderstood me. I know you're talking about yews logs, not Rune Mysteries. All I meant by that was that macroers were willing to put in the effort to do Rune Mysteries and, to me, it doesn't seem like that big of a leap in effort to train to level 10 combat. When I mentioned pure ess I simply meant to use that as an example of something that Jagex did to target macros. This is just a little proof that they care about low level macros though not low level human players. This was my fault on the third one. I meant woodcutting pures, not combat pures. Many woodcutting pures and other skill pures don't want to raise their combat levels (want themselves to be level 3) so they would complain that there is no way to cut yews effectively without having level 10 combat.
  2. yes but then all the macroers would be level 5-10 Ok, but dark wizards and guards attack players who are above level 10... By the way why should someone make a macro player level 10!, let's say the player will be reported for Rule 7 - Macroing and the account disappear. I don't think that would encourage to get more macroers, because this would be boring and waste of time. Also, Jagex mostly don't look at low levels, they always care about high levels and their behaviour in the game. They just make the game fair and better. 1. It literally takes an only an hour of training to get to level 10 combat. Macroers were willing to do Rune Mysteries, why not this? 2. Jagex does care about low level macroers(think pure ess) 3. If you put aggressive monsters at all the spots where macros are, all the pures will whine and complain their [wagon] off, and all the spots will be similar, therefore a new macro program will come out to counter it. Think of macros like the flu; every time you make a vaccine, it changes until the thing you used to fix it no longer works.
  3. I don't think you understand how much work people are willing to do in order to be lazy.
  4. Don't bump an old topic if you have nothing to say. And let me be the first to say.............hehehehehehehe...........rack.
  5. Myth: Wearing a Ammy of Strength or Ammy of Power while mining increases your mining speed.
  6. Another weak suggestion to stop macros. I don't mean to flame but that's why there are so many macros; all the ways Jagex tries to stop them are weak. Personally, I don't think it would be that hard for a macroer to get the account all the way to level 5 at which point the spiders stop attacking. Even level 10 isn't that hard. I don't think this will discourage macroers at all.
  7. Hey, I have an idea! Why not use release this with the smoking skill? Different kinds of leaves give you different bonuses like mary jane gives you +3 psychadelicness. Oooh ooh and a gambling skill too! Then let's encourage all the kids who play this game to not only do these things in game but in real life too!! [/sarcasm]
  8. I know when it first came out jutes were an extremely good way to get exp. I think they changed that though...... :boohoo:
  9. Awesome, Spartan Helm
  10. This is exactly what you're looking for: Isn't Imhomer Awesome?
  11. grrrrr, pk pures, I hate you all  On topic: I have 58 def and they still hit me 6's. Granted that was without full rune but still. I would suggest you fight other monsters, preferably ones that drop good items (moss giants are my favorites).
  12. Type Then what you want the link to appear as
  13. the same way you link to another post in a post, use the tags
  14. Much better, good idea. Looking at it right now, it's just extra space at the bottom that makes you need the scroll bar.
  15. ^^This means Owl/eagle wings woud be dropped at easter. :
  16. It looks good. It's interesting that you put it in first person. Then only problem I had when I was reading it was that you seemed to changed tense at inappropriate times. For example: Most of the time you talk in the past tense but in this you switch. It should be "was" and "could." [qoute]Great, I thought, at least I had a way to escape. Because you've already used a past tense in this sentence ("thought") and it refers to an internal dialogue, the "had" should be switched to "have." Aside from that it sounds great and I'd love to read more.
  17. I'd guess you aren't a member from your stats so I think mining because any major fishing is far from any banks (Karamja Docks). As many people have pointed out, yews would be slow at level 60 and runecrafting is extremely repetative and kills your brain. #-o
  18. About 92 rune ores mined.
  19. imhomer replied to samari81's topic in Help and Advice
    I'd suggest powermining. Look here.
  20. Wow, real original, a pking pure. Sorry, I'm just bitter because I'm a rune miner. Anyways I would suggest you train in f2p until the end of the moneth just because it's easier to remember to cancel/renew your membership at the end of the month. As for names........deathlegion
  21. I would like to nominate rune rocks pkers
  22. Not being a religious person myself, this matters little to me. The only reason I suggested angel wings was because each wing would be related to the holiday and angels=christmas.
  23. Ok, this is an idea I've had for a while and I'd like to see what you other people think of it. I was thinking that Jagex could have a three part drop, one for each holiday, which would be.......wings. Now before you say "Jagex will never allow flying" or "OMg You n00b no flyng!!!1!!" read the entire post first. These wings would not allow you to fly. There would be three drops, daemon/bat wings, angel wings, and owl/eagle wings. The daemon/bat wings would be dropped during halloween. I envision them being ribbed black and red wings with black ribs (I hope that's the right word) and red membranes. It would take up the cape slot and by default be folded against your back. There would an option that says "flap daemon wings." When you clicked it, the wings would flap like an emote but would not make you fly. Angel and Owl/eagle wings would be the same except different appearances and dropped at christmas and easter respectively.
  24. Good guide and useful information but one problem I had with it: Coding was visible. It looks like you tried to use html in the first section and forgot to get rid of it.
  25. The whole point of F2P is for it to be a demo. It's a very large, encompassing demo but still a demo nonetheless. What people don't understand is that F2P is supposed to make you want to become a member. It's designed to be lacking in many areas; enough to still get you hooked but not enough to make you want to keep playing. You say that F2P needs harder quests but that kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it? If Jagex gave F2P harder quests people would stay F2P longer, denying potential money from Jagex. From a business standpoint, F2P is meant to be a hook. It discourages people from getting high levels because of the lack of good ways to get experience and lack of things to do. Treat it as such and then decide whether you want members or not. The only change I believe Jagex should make to F2P is add bankspace due to the influx of holiday items. By the way, yes I have members skills but I've been F2P for over a year now.
